HEALING POST
As the last of Kagirinai's injuries mended and a health(ier) hue returned to his pale complexion, followed by a muttering of the young medic's name, Rael breathed in relief and smiled, knowing the other Genin was well on his way back to a full recovery. "Heh, told you I'd be there to patch you up." Patting the boy on the shoulder once, he slowly helped the boy to his feet, careful not to exert too much pressure on the recently healed areas. The two of them were in well-enough condition, considering their circumstances, but what about their Jounin sensei?
The answer to that came with a resounding crash, as the rest of not only what still remained on the second floor toppled down to the main floor, but those on the third floor as well. Rael had not accounted for the magnitude of the explosion to be so severe that it weakened the flooring on the next level up. The sight of an unfamiliar old man, presumably their quarry Soken, emerging from the blasted rubble invigorated the white-haired medic, but not nearly as much as seeing him dragged upright by Yokumaru, injured but very much alive. Giving his Genin counterpart one last look-over and quietly reassuring him he'd be alright, Rael hurried over to his sensei, taking in sight of the man's banged up left arm.
Wordlessly, he took away the burden of Soken's weight on their team leader's shoulder, accepting the one hundred and some pound male with no visible effort. A blue, malevolent glow of chakra surrounded his hands as he struck both of the old man's ankles, shredding the muscles underneath and leaving him unable to even walk before tossing his body nearly ten meters away with a thump. Apparently, he couldn't care less what condition they returned the man to his brother in. Rael turned back to his two teammates, eyes narrowing upon seeing one's wounded appendage.
"Let me take care of that for you, sensei," he murmured, moving over to Yokumaru's left flank as his hands charged with the same green, healing aura he'd used on Kagirinai just moments ago. His squad leader's injury was not as serious as the one that spanned the length of his Genin counterpart's back earlier in terms of life-threatening. However, unless he paid careful attention to the precise restructuring of the ligaments and various muscle groups, the limb might not be capable of performing a full range of various motions, even after being completely healed.
As Rael took care of the deep gashes on his arm, he silently observed Yokumaru through the broken material obscuring half his face, taking this opportunity to examine the man that abruptly changed upon donning his mask. He obviously had stories to tell, not just the one he recounted back during their first mission together, and the medic knew he'd be wringing a few more out before long. Teal eyes turned away from a face so much older than his own, and he refocused on mending the arm, being sure to channel a bit of extra chakra into the Jounin in case he was also hiding injuries elsewhere. As the topmost layer of skin regrew itself before their eyes, leaving not the faintest trace of a scar behind, Rael rapped the limb experimentally before offering a slight grin, letting go of Yokumaru's arm.
"Good as new, sensei. Let's report in, and head on home."
Despite being the most chakra-deprieved in their three-man cell, Rael also received the lightest injuries, and took it upon himself to carry the incapacitated Soken along the way. The sight of a small child with a man nearly three times his weight slung over a shoulder might seem strange, but in the days to come with Team Yokumaru, there would be even stranger.
