exit!
He blocked out AU-2's words. He didn't care what he had to say, knew that everything that came from his mouth was only a lie orchestrated to manipulate and corrupt those who heard them. The chakra he'd gathered neared its culmination as AU-2 rose his hand, and in a bursting of speed, Akuharu's body tore through the sand, kicking up a wake of dust that outlined his trail with so much sand, it was difficult to see him at all. His right hand stretched forward, the left leaning back, as the spiral of chakra radiating through his body came to a fine point in his palm and he screamed as his palm reached his enemyRASENGAN!
But the ball of energy seemed to twist out of time and space itself, into...nowhere. AU-2 had vanished, becoming little more than a fading convergence of grayed out patterns that folded in on themselves until nothing remained but the great quaking of the high stone tower. The underwater grotto was assaulted at every angle by falling stone as the power of his 'brother's' eyes brought everything in the vicinity to ruin. He grunted with frustration, calling out to the very air.I WILL KILL YOU....
But he could not sit complacent in his fury for long. He dove into the nearby waves off the coast of the strange island, leaving behind the body of his brief companion, and the creature he'd slain. He swam, far enough way to avoid the tower's complete collapse, and used his command of Suiton to push a great encumbrance of water away from his body. He expanded a bubble of sea behind him, and contracted the water before him, allowing him to go under and then rise, higher and higher, far quicker than any normal man could swim, his hands eventually performing the seals necessary to erect a sphere of air to assist him with breathing. Through the deep pitch black, he rocketed upwards, his eyes still crimson red and burning with anger.
AU-2. He was still alive. Still dangerous. Still hunting him for no reason other than his own amusement.
When he finally reached the surface, gasping for air, he could see the town had slowly started to rebuild itself. He rose from the water, deactivating his Kekkei Genkai dojutsu, and sat near the empty harbor, gasping heavily as the waves split apart and crashed into the air.
I will kill you, AU-2. And his mind flashed through the brief violet spiral his enemy's eyes had taken on, as gritted teeth spat his commitment into the mist.It isn't revenge...it's destiny.
He sheathed Nuibari.
He had a long journey ahead, and the road was hard, and there would no doubt be countless other obstacles before he reached the place he called home again.
The second of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of The Mist was on the move.
