Another day, another mission, another reason to get in bullshit. This time it was to fend off a bear, yes, a damn bear. If it were garbage mission, it would've been fine or an escort mission. No, he wanted to expand his horizons in missions so he can more versed in other objectives. This was just a pain to deal with it. But a missions a mission. He received the scroll from the Mizukage from her residence and left out of the building. Now that he thought about it, he was the only one taking this mission; with no backup. He was riding solo. Ain't that a bitch? Tch, even though he was a solo man on this mission, he was more than enough to take out a bear? Also he knows trying to coordinate attacks with others would slow his own swagger down. He walked through the village streets looking at the details of the missions it was on the countryside. Now that made it is a helluva lot more direction. Luckily there is a few countrysides in Kiri being that this land is around goddamn WATER! -_- The brown haired male made his way to the gates of Kirigakure and acknowledged the two guarding Chunin that he was leaving to perform a mission. This was after all, how you do things in Kiri unless you want to get hunted down. He didn't want the hassle. After he showed his details to the men he wrapped up his scroll in his holster and with a "spirited" dash, Taiji departed from the entrance towards the country to tackle this behemoth of a creature. Fifth-teen minutes into walking to the outskirts to the pasture rural part of the land and sees a forest at least 20 kilometers wide and thick. Life doesn't get better than this. Not only does have to confront the beast, but in a forest where if he were to fight it, the bear would have an advantage. Taiji knows well enough not to underestimate an animal in their own habitat. Oh how life of a ninja can ever be so cool. He walked into the fray of the forest to investigate the whereabouts. No other people were around from miles. Most likely because of the bear. Taiji took a deep breath and sighed deeply to express his disdain of how mundane this mission would be later if or when he ever see the animal. He was at least one-fourth of the forest and he heard a stream of water from the other side. In his mind a bear would be near water if they want any fish to eat. The flashy ninja took a chance with this gamble and jumped up the trees and would stage himself properly for the bear to near the water, getting their meal. As Taiji was posted on a tree, he hear an abrupt noise oming from the east towards the stream. "Grrrrrughhh!!" a raor was heard as it echoed from the whole forest as it made its way. This was a super-bear. Taiji watched as the beast took in three shuriken in its fur and flesh. As he was charging ahead, Taiji had to act fast. He closed his eyes and let his guard down in front of him. Who was he to try to hurt an animal in its habitat? Even Taiji had to respect nature. So whatever fate may come for him, he'll gladly lay down his existence at the bears mercy. As the bear began to finish his lethal swipe, Taiji opened his eyes to show a calmer, yet more compassionate gaze. Because that bear was several feet taller than him, he moved his head to tilt it upward to look up at the bear, face-to-face. The bear had stopped in mid-swipe and stood there. This silence and stillness lasted for minutes on end. It was stifling. If the genin made any hostile action, the bear would be more than happy to end his life. As he looked onward, he saw the stream by the edge of the forest and saw another bear. It was significantly small than the one that is staring him in the face. It was being chased by another human. He didn't want that man to fall at the hands of the adult bear, but he didn't want to act rashly and upset him. He nodded at the adult bear, presumably its parent and rushed towards the attacker. He gave the villager a strong right roundhouse kick to the ribs, but not to permanently hurt him. Just to wake him up. He then saw the child bear run to its parent and nudged at its legs. All the bear wanted was peace in its own habitat. And like our cruel world is, we human always wants everything to be ours. It was natural that the parent would protect its cub, just like a parent taking care of its child while in danger. As the man was laid flat on the ground, Taiji had a slight passing of conscience in his mind. Was that overkill to stop a man. Then again, he did try to attack a fucking bear. A kick is tame compared to swipes that send your chest as a filet. He looked ahead and saw a ground with weapons in the same direction as the assailant. This is was about to be a pain in the ass.. He then would turn around and walk up to the bear and calmly placed his hands on the animal's fur when he threw the shuriken. The wounds were deep and he looked upward as he slowly ejected the weapon from, the bear's flesh. He was no doctor, but it had to be done. The first one was pulled out and followed by a small wince and growl from the large animal. The two others had to be extracted or else they'll cause an infection.
