With the picking of his Genin team under way, Nhar'qual had little time to train solo, at least within recent weeks. Despite this, he had taken to unorthodox methods to secure his training, though not solo. With his time spent flipping through various Genin files he was able to find the most promising and skilled ones and as such he called them all out to "try-outs" which were namely for his own gain as to test his skills. And what better way than to put his entire tool based style against a fabled Hozuki? Anmi Hozuki was the child's name and their history and skill set added up to a promising shinobi. Sending them a letter via messenger crow, Nhar'qual set up the old grounds of the "Bloody Mist Graduations" which pitted Academy Students against each other to fight to the death to graduate into fledged Genin.

With the 20x20 slightly cratered circular area clear of all obstacles, Nhar'qual sat atop a wide post at the lip of the crater. "Kid better get here quick, Mad-Rockkkkkkkkk!" Barking out his title with a terrible humorous curse, Nhar'qual crossed his legs Indian style and held them up while resting the side of his face against his hand, elbow digging into his thigh. With his free hand he began to one by one tap his fingers along his respective knee as he sighed. Being one with the patience of a.....well a person without any patience what so ever..."C'MON IT'S BEEN TWO MINUTES!"

Though it was an order from a direct superior, Anmi didn't enjoy the idea of being summoned at a whim by someone she had never met before. Nevertheless, it was her duty as a mere Genin to follow the orders of Chuunin. Adorning her usual school girl outfit, she would enter the remains of the once glorious "Bloody Mist Graduations". Not long after entering would Anmi notice the Chuunin who had invited her sitting across from her. At the same time, it would not take long for her jaw to drop in shock at what she laid her eyes upon. Perhaps the most insane and weirdest Chuunin she had ever seen sat about 20 meters from where she stood; his attire or rather lack of completely catching her off guard.

Unsure of what to make of the situation, Anmi stood her ground trying to draw herself back to reality. For a moment, she thought she'd been dragged into some insane alternate reality where nipple cups were all the rage. Of course something of that nature was very unlikely and it was more likely that the Chuunin had a few screws loose in his head.

Taking a deep breath while padding her attire, she'd calmly register the strangeness of the situation before greeting her superior. "So, I take it you are the Chuunin who called me here? What is it you need of me?"

And then there she came in her "school girl outfit", quite the tiny little thing. Could she really be all of what her file said she was? Well he'd find out for himself, though he was already sure she would represent herself skillfully as he himself was a trained shinobi and he knew not to let one's appearance confuse him, after all his look was out there. Dropping both of his arms to his sides slowly he'd straighten his sitting position as the girl continued to approach him. And when she was in proper addressing distance he'd listen to her and offer a single chaotic nod. Out of pure shinobi trained skills, Nhar'qual effortlessly pushed himself from a sitting position to standing on the wide wooden post without the assistance of his hands. Though it wasn't exactly that extraordinary, but then again Nhar'qual took a lot of things for granted.

"Anmi Hozuki, I'm -Mad-Rock- Nhar'qual, a Chuunin looking for suitable candidates for my Genin team...And you're one of my draft picks kiddo! WOO WOO! Ha, so let us see what you've got, we're going to have a little sparring match here! That is if you accept the offer!" Tilting his head to the side he stepped forward, dropping to the grassy ground at the edge of the sandy crater pit before him.

Listening to the Chuunin's proposal, Anmi already had it in her head to outright reject the crazy looking man and leave him to his whims in this abandoned place, however an idea soon popped into her head. Although working under the command of someone like Nhar'qual wasn't exactly her dream job, this did present her a rare chance. That chance being the opportunity to fight against a Chuunin without suffering the usual consequences given for picking a fight with someone of higher ranking.

Repositioning the rapier at her left hip and main gauche on the opposing hip, Anmi prepped herself to face off against the half-naked man. "Hmm, I don't know about joining your team but this is a good chance to see how I fair against a Chuunin. Maybe I'll join depending on your performance, Senpai." Anmi would say as she stepped forth onto the grassy ring around the sandy pit. Once on the grass she'd begin to walk along the rim of the pit to her right, approaching the Chuunin at a steady rate from his left. She'd not yet walk into the center of the pit due to its sandy nature and wariness of what traps may lay within. For now, she'd simply take her time closing the distance of 20ish meters that lay between her and Nhar'qual.

Striking a confused pose immediately at the girl's response, Nhar quickly fell into a dumbfounded state. But, then again he did remember a slightly similar situation happening when he was younger...And various other situations since he had risen to the rank of Chuunin. Because of this, Nhar'qual quickly began to chuckle as he preceded to jump up and down in anticipation. By his third jump he began to move into the sandy ring, mimicking the girl's circling, but moving to his own right so her left. Retrieving his kusarigama from his side he held the chain's length and the scythe itself within his left hand while he spun a certain length of the chain in his right, the weighted core at this end of the weapon whistling in the wind with terror.

"Well then, let's make sure we put on a fight worthy of these blood stained sands!" Still circling to his right, he chose to give the girl the first move, this would allow him to see how she acted at the beginning of combat.

Anmi wondered how the Nhar'qual would react when given the chance to make the first move but like a gentleman, he allowed her to make the first move; simply mirroring her initial actions. Taking note of the weapon he wielded, Anmi drew the conclusion that the Chuunin would rely more on ranged combat but she knew she could be wrong. The weapon could have been his answer to dealing with ranged fighters and he was more of a close ranged fighter. Whatever the case, with it being up to her to make the first move, Anmi calculated the distance between the two.

With him mirroring her movements, the distance between the two would not close anytime soon. Taking a chance, Anmi stopped circling the pit and would walk onto the sandy center, keeping wary of any traps or strange movements within the sand. Moving in a straight line toward Nhar'qual, the distance between the two would quickly close to about 12 meters before Anmi's hands would fly into a short slew of handseals. Gathering an average amount of chakra within her mouth, she'd soon expel a fast moving jet of water at the Chuunin. While the attack is more to gauge how the Chuunin would react, it'd nevertheless deal a good amount of damage and push him backwards one meter should he not evade.

Description: Suiton, the often mystic ability to control water at one's will. Though one cannot create their own amount of water, they can control any previously formed body of it, bending the source at their will and making it highly malleable. From prison type techniques to simple overwhelming the user with an abundance of waves, Suiton is truly a release to be feared once mastered.

Mizurappa (Violent Water Wave)

Special: Though stream is thin, it is nonetheless strong and fast (equivalent to the user's dominion rank), and can produce a knock-back effect should a victim be caught; knock-back is equal to one meter, plus one more each time retrained. However, after every fourth retraining, chakra consumption will go up by one.
Description: Mizurappa is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing Suiton. After forming the needed handseals, the user will expel a strong jet of water at their opponent from their mouths. This stream moves frighteningly fast, and carried enough force to knock over even strong boulders.

They continued to circle each other, like two apex predators sizing each other up. And it would have possibly never ended if the girl hadn't stepped into the sand pit and began walking towards him...Though something was off, she was cautious...And not just the "I'm

someone who's possibly better than me" cautious, but...More like she had something else on her mind? Did she perhaps think he had booby-trapped the sand pit?...He'd have to use it to his advantage...Along with to actually trap the sand pit for future encounters to weed out Genin. Nonetheless he paused in his tracks and watched her with eyes of experience. Still rotating a length of his weapons' chain and it's weighted end he'd easily pick up her attempt to form hand seals, the way shinobi preformed hand seals was all the same when done with both hands, so before her hands were even brought together he launched his own assault.

Using his prowess with weapons he threw his kusarigama in such a way that it's length spread out full as it rotated towards the girl, threatening to ensnare her should she stay within it's range/length. And without the waste of a single muscle movement, Nhar'qual reached to his sides, retrieving two intermediate scrolls, preparing himself for the girl's counter.

Whether is was over confidence or a mere lack of attention, the Chuunin sealed his fate with his meager defense. With the distance between them nearly 40 feet (12 meters) in total, it was impossible that Nhar'qual's Kusari-gama could do much to stop Anmi from completing her seals. Running forth after completing her seals, Anmi let loose a strong jet of water from her mouth that would easily knock aside the kusari-gama before colliding with the Chuunin. The strength of the jet would be more than enough to knock Mad Rock back one meter while also disrupting his view of Anmi.

Using the short time that Mad Rock would not be able to track her movements, Anmi dashed forth with uncanny speed¹ easily closing the distance. Without having vision of Anmi, Mad Rock would be unable to comprehend how the small girl could cover a distance of 10 meters near instantly. Having already began moving forward while she utilized her Mizurappa no Jutsu and in tandem with the Shunshin technique, this placed Anmi less than one meter away from the Chuunin with her Rapier drawn in her left hand. Swinging the weapon diagonally from her bottom left to the upper right, she aimed to slash at his throat, however, should he be unable to defend against the strike she'd stop her blade the moment it came into contact with his flesh.

As much as she enjoyed the thought of ending his life, she could not make such a decision without the Mizukage's order. Then again, it would have been a fitting action considering the place they resided in.

Description: Shunshin no Jutsu is a basic ninjutsu technique used across the shinobi world by all, ranging from the most basic shinobi to the legends of lore. Considered is a high-speed movement technique - to an observer caught in the optical illusion, it appears as if the user has teleported. This allows the user to escape or attack suddenly, should they need to. However, while a high-speed movement, if used in broad daylight, one will still be quite visible and as such, easier to be defended against. In order to achieve maximum effect, the user must to combine it with a distraction.
