Bullying. It was a nice term regarding what it did to a person psychologically. Abuse was the true term that should be used. Or perhaps, Jett was simply biased in the matter, considering what he had been through in the past.
It had not been too long since he had graduated the academy, but while he had not been bullied while in the academy, he still knew what it was like to be a kid of 8 years, being picked on by a kid that was older. Age did not really matter here, for the act of abuse, condescension, or otherwise bullying, transcended time, age, and gender.
The report was that a kid roughly 12 years old had failed the academy graduation test a few times, and had stopped going to classes because of the rebuke he got from teachers telling him he wasn't trying hard enough, and the teasing from other students because of failing so much. Now, this unfortunate soul was picking on the next rung of academy students approaching graduation. It seemed a bit backwards in his head. The kid tried so hard to graduate, and failed, and now was attempting to keep others from even trying. Behind each dark soul, is a glimmer of light that is being kept from shining. Where had he heard that? Jett could not remember, but he heard it somewhere, and it made sense here.
An hour before classes were supposed to start, Jett headed out to the residence district that this bullly was last reported to have been. Quietly, Jett sat on a rooftop, looking down at the streets, staring and waiting for the kids to start heading to class. After some time, the kids started heading to the academy, and Jett found himself daydreaming, wondering what life may have been like if he had grown up in Kirigakure, instead of the criminal districts outside the village, and if he had been part of a family that truly cared for him. What would have been, if his mother had not died? Would his father and brothers been any different?
"Daisuke, Daisuke, Daisuke... it truly amazes me how your mind can drift on such unimportant, trivial things."
His eye's twitched, pushing the voice in his head back, ignoring it, especially as the voice of a child rose above the gentle 'noise' of the morning breeze, calling out to one of the other kids down below.
