The Missing Dog!
Rank: D
Ninja needed: 1-3
Mission info: A woman, Mrs. Tojikano, has lost her precious Mr. Snuggle-dee-dums. Locate the dog. It was spotted in the Southern Zone.
Mr. Snuggle-dee-dums. What a stupid name. That was probably why the dog ran off. It wasn't Jett's place to judge though, and so he wouldn't. Once he had a description of the dog's appearance, he headed off to the market. It wasn't the last place the dog was spotted, but it would be the first place he went. He went to one of the restaurants in the market, where he would ask for a bone left over from one of the meals. His next stop, would be to retrieve a leash to use to bring the pup in once it was captured.
Once he had these items, he would be off, to the southern districts of town, searching for the dog. A Welsh Corgi. It wasn't your usual burly dogs that looked intimidating, but were the fluffy sort, which more than likely spurred on its name. Still, even for such a cute looking dog, such a name was not of Jett's interest.
"So, this is how you spend your time? Instead of training to get stronger, you play pet detective?"
"This is training. Minor tracking skills."
"And how will that help you? You need to learn to defend yourself, not track."
"Knowing where the enemy is before they are upon me is a proper skill to have."
"The last enemy was right in front of you the whole time. You knew it, and you still needed my help. You need combat skills, not tracking skills."
"Things are different now, the enemy won't be right in front of me the whole time from now on."
Daisuke paid little mind to the glances he got from everyone around the village as he wandered the streets, talking to himself, and looking for the missing dog. It was nothing new to him, really, even if he was still pretty new to this village, it was not a concept new in his life. He had lived his life knowing many people thought he was crazy. He ignored it as much as he could, and without pause would approach villagers here and there, showing a picture of the missing dog, and asking if they had seen it in the area.
There were small signs of the dog's progress through town. Small bits of fur caught to walls where it probably took a look around, a small wet spot on the side of the road where the dog probably took a leak. and then of course, despite the misty muggy weather, small paw tracks in the dirt road.
On top of such, inquiries about the dog's whereabouts would eventually lead to a small area off to the side of the road in the southern district. Apparently, while on walks, the dog had buried some bones of its own in this little patch of dirt off the road. With the bone Daisuke got from the market, he would lure the dog away from its little hiding spot. "C'mon lil guy. Over this way..." Once the dog was close enough, he would snap the leash onto its collar. With the mission complete, Daisuke would pet the little guy, and smile.
"Well then, Mr unfortunate name, let's get you back home. If you're a good boy, I'll show you a better place to bury your spoils, so your owner doesn't worry about you."
The dog barked, even with it's mouth wrapped around it's new prize, and strolled at Daisuke's side, on their way back to the dog's owner and home.
"Pathetic..."
"Hush, you..."
Once he returned the dog back to Mrs. Tojikano, he would take the woman's pay back to Mizukage Tower, where it would be turned over to the elders, and await his cut of the profits.
