Mission info: Young academy student Ko has skipped class yet again and is out lallygagging around the village. As a shinobi it is your mission to find and return him to the Academy. Force is allowable if he chooses to run, however capture Ko without hurting him. Ask villagers to discover his last known location.

Yox casually paced down the busy streets of Kirigakure no Sato, hands in his pockets and quite a stern look across his face. It was his first mission as a shinobi. He had to prove to hold some sort of competence to not only himself, but to also the Mizukage. He had to show that he was a worthwhile asset to the ninja of the Hidden Mist.

His mind was fixed on the task at hand. Time to hunt this little runt down, he thought to himself as he paced from shop to shop, looking through the open windows. It was suggested in the mission statement that he sought out the guidance of local villagers for the whereabouts of this boy. Yox believed that the place which held the highest amount of footfall of teenage boys would be the ramen restaurant. That would be the first place where he would go.

He brushed his hand past the brown drape that hung over the entrance to the ramen shop. As he entered, the smells of the various flavours of ramen drifted into his nose. Beef, pork and chicken. He could smell them all. It was hard to remain focused on task especially with the temptation of a break with a filling meal of ramen. No. He had to stay concentrated on the goal at hand. He had to find this boy.

Yox drifted across the room to the main bar area. Sitting on a stool, he opened a menu to deceive the chef into thinking that he was here to buy a meal. He had other plans. Eventually the chef made his way across the bar to Yox. When he reached Yox, he spoke. "Hey there boy. What can I get for ya?"

Yox twitched at the label of 'boy'. It was something that he wanted to leave in the past especially since he was technically a 'man' now. He just found that the term boy registered to someone who was young and naïve. Yox wanted to be renown as being a somewhat valiant man, rather than a pipsqueak of a boy. Ignoring the remark, he tilted his head to the side and responded to the chef whilst taking a picture out of his back pocket. "I'm looking for a boy. His name is Ko. Here's a picture of him. You seen him around here?"[/color]

"Oh, him. Yeah I seen him. Was 'round here earlier tryna' get some free meals outta' me. Hate punks like him. Went off that way," the chef replied with whilst pointing his hand in a direction out of an open window. Yox simply nodded in response to the man and dropped the menu back down on the bench. Rising ou of his seat, he gave the chef a slight nod of approval before heading out in the direction where he was pointed into. It was time to find 'Ko'.[/size][/blockquote][/blockquote][/justify]

Yox brushed the brown drape back over the entrance as he walked out. He made a reminder in his head that if he did complete this task successfully today, he would definitely return to the ramen house and grab a bite to eat later. But for now, it was back onto focusing on the mission at hand.

He paced down the street in the direction he was guided into. He held the picture of the boy with his right hand, glancing down to it and back up to the street at times, and comparing the face of the boy to the other teenage boys around him. No luck. It was not a busy day. At this point it was during the work hours of the day, many people were either at school or performing their daily rituals. The streets had a few stray people here and there, thus Yox believed it would be an easy task to find the boy. This, however, was not the case judging from his luck so far.

He continued to pace through the streets, checking almost every face as he walked by. He received many confused looks in return as he glared at every teenage boy, studying their facial features and comparing it to the photograph he had. Suddenly he noticed a small boy at the front of a candy side shop. The shop keep was distracted, busily talking to another person with her back turned. Yox watched as the small boy crept closer and closer to the stand, his hand extended out to the variety of sweets on display. With a quick comparison of the photograph to the boy, Yox realised that this was the 'rebel' that he was after.

Cautiously creeping up behind the boy, Yox quickly wrapped his arms around him and pulled him into him. The boy yelled, drawing in the attention of other people around him. Yox quickly tried to cover up the situation by yelling out. "Hey brother Ko. We cant have you eating too much candy and spoiling your apetite for lunch..."

Yox proceeded off with the boy, carrying him whilst walking him around the corner into an alleyway. As the boy shook Yox free of the grip, he turned around to him with an angered look on his face. "Hey! What are you doing!? You just ruined my chance to get some sweets! Who the heck are you?"

"Just look into my eyes... everything will be alright Ko. From now on you'll do exactly as I say. Understood?" Yox immediately began preparing a technique whilst the boy was yapping at him from in front. He stared into the eyes of Ko, flaring his chakra into his eyes and out into the mind of the boy. By performing the 'Soul of the Snake [Snake Eyes]' technique, the boy was frozen in his spot unable to move a muscle. Of course, by this stage the boy began to freak out.

"Please! Please don't hurt me! I'll return to the academy I swear! I'm so sorry. Please don't hurt me!" Yox grinned in response to the boy. Nodding his head as if he was suggesting that he agreed with the boys words. Releasing the technique from the boy, Ko shook himself as he stood back up in place and retained control over his own body again. The boy began to pant heavily, as if he had just escaped some sort of shock. Yox slithered his tongue outside of his mouth in amusement, obviously another trait that would frighten the boy. It was time to take this boy back to where he belonged during this time of day.[/justify][/blockquote][/size][/blockquote]

Walking beside the boy back out of the alleyway, the boy began to question Yox on their walk back to the academy. "What jutsu was that? That was great! Can you teach me it? They never teach us stuff like that at the academy. That's why I always get bored there and just go off on my own," he spoke whilst looking around and getting distracted by the various street stalls.

"I can't teach you it. It's a skill I was born with. It's my bloodline limit. You can only learn similar strong techniques like the one I just performed if you focus in the academy. You have to pass and get good grades to become a Genin, otherwise you'll remain a worthless Academy Student forever. Then you will become a disappointment to everyone in the village. You don't want that do you?"

[/b] Yox walked as he questioned the boy. On their walk back toward the academy, Yox and the boy both discussed ways in which Ko could get some fun out of attending the academy everyday. Skills he could learn to show his 'dominance' over the other students was discussed. Ko was very intrigued by the ideas he was hearing from Yox. Yox was also relieved. He had just completed his first mission as a shinobi, and he wasn't harmed in the process. That was expected though of a D-Ranked mission. Perhaps he would try something harder when he handed this mission in. Something more exhilarating. Oh well, a ninja had to start somewhere.

When they reached the academy, they both arrived to a Chuunin Academy Teacher whom greeted Yox with wide arms and approval... and Ko with a look of bitter annoyance. "Thank you for returning him to me! This little one is going to be writing lines for the rest of the day. Thanks again Genin," the teacher said after taking Ko back into the academy. Yox placed his hands back into his pockets. One mission down, many more to go. It was time to get back to the Mizukage's office. Perhaps something else had come in needing to be done.[/justify][/size][/blockquote][/blockquote]
