[The Dude]

Takumi walked through the streets of Kirigakure no Sato distracted by the small capsules and bottles in his hands. He had just been down to fill his prescription for the first time in a long time now that his doctor was back in town. The stress had been getting to him but taking the seven pills this morning straight out of bed definitely kept him in better condition. The medication was was high dosage but it seemed to completely stop his mental deterioration as well as clear his mind. There was some other effect too he could never quite put his finger on, but he shrugged and kept walking pocketing his capsule containers in his pockets.

Ahead of Takumi a familiar face was seen sitting down and leaning back against a wall petting his companion gently. The red haired young man seemed slightly perturbed about something actually growling from his throat. It might have been the gash across his face he had gotten during the mission Takumi had shared with him. Not only had the ninja suffered the wound he had done it in a mission that aided Takumi and they had just met.

He came to a stop just a few feet away from the two holding his hand out a little further in an open palm to allow Hime to identify him, hopefully as a friend. It was kind of a crap shoot whether the animal would actually trust Takumi or become protective of her master. After all Takumi had not been strong enough to aid and help Axel and for all the Aburame knew, the wolf could be holding it against him. He spoke quietly his voice utterly void of emotion, even more so than usual his attempt at a joke even seemed rather dull in tone.

"If it isn't my favorite duo, wolf and her sidekick werewolf man. What are you two doing?"

Hime looked up and yipped moving to Takumi nuzzling his leg and hip in recognition wagging her tail happily licking his hand. His comment made her bark happy and seem to smirk at Axel. He smiled a little and tilted his head to the side looking up at Takumi. "Who you calling a sidekick, eh Takumi?"

Axel smiled at the boy feeling his joke though his tone seemed to not sense it and smiled wide giving the trademark Inuzuka grin, fangs and all. He turned a little and stretched sighing soft letting his worries wash away like the tide. "Apparently some drop out is hassling the students so I got a mission to straighten him out. I swear it's said that the teachers can't do this sorta thing isn't it part of their job?"

Hime seemed to have forgiven Takumi as she nuzzled against the Aburame before barking jovially. Takumi was glad that she had forgiven him even if he couldn't show it or express it very well at all. The wolf had played nearly as big a part as Axel himself, the two came together as a package deal after all which is what made them quite dangerous.

"Yeah well... teachers in Kiri are pretty unreliable and lazy. So much so in fact there are missions down at the compound for any kiri shinobi to come in and teach the class in their place. I did it myself once. Not sure I'd recommend it."

"At any rate I think I'll join you quick on this little mission if you don't mind... errr... I'm sorry I never caught your name. But, I'm not quite feeling myself today and I don't want to risk going down to the compound and getting swept up in more work than I have to do today until I can get back into my usual stride."

Axel smiled while Hime played around with Takumi, happy that she was getting along and having fun. Axel saw a somewhat round and big 12 year old come up to lean against the wall of the academy, he got up and clicked his tongue softly catching Hime's attention and calling her over. "Ick that's purely deplorable Mist has fallen far, but yeah I don't mind if you come with us just dont hold the actions against me."

Axel smiled a little shy rubbing his neck. "Oh my name is Axel Inuzuka, A-X-E-L, Got it memorized?" He tapped his temple gently grinning before heading over to the boy and cracking his knuckles growling deep and low while his fangs glinted and claws caught the light in a threatening manner. "This Academy is my territory understand? This gash is from the battle with Son Goku, The Four-Tailed Ape! now unless you want your entrails torn out, get out of here. Now!"

"Axel, got it."

Axel had a charm to him in the way he talked, acted and presented himself. Maybe it was this attitude or maybe it was simply a sense of gratitude for what the shinobi had done to help Takumi, but either way the Aburame decided he liked this man. He was more than tolerable, he seemed to harmonize with something Takumi saw in himself. Even if it was small, Takumi rarely got along with any of his fellow shinobi so this was something he took a mental note of.

Axel made his way over to the drop out he'd spotted cracking his knuckles and growling. Takumi had seen what bullies the village had to offer but they always seemed as nothing before a professional ninja. Axel in his own right was terrifying to stare down with his fangs, claws, and of course the threat of Hime. But perhaps Takumi could throw on a little bit more fear and make sure this punk didn't come back later when he regained his courage.

With a twist of his wrist, Takumi sent about fifty of his kikaichuu to crawl all over the boys skin with a smirk on his lips. They crawled around his face, a few of them crawling almost into his eyes, some in his hears and more around his mouth just waiting for the small child to dare open his mouth in retort. He said nothing because he had been told his silence was one of his most nerving characteristics. He looked at Axel and his scar growling feraly, then he thought about how he looked, and then the sensation of bugs crawling all over the boy's body. If this kid couldn't manage simple academy jutsu odds were not in his favor that he'd be able to keep his pants dry.

The boy whimpered shivering as he wet himself and ran away crying in fear stumbling and falling a few times along the way. Axel grinned pleased with his work and stroked Hime's fur as she yipped happily and wagged her tail as the two turned back to Takumi. "Heh thanks for the help he shouldn't be back any time soon."

Axel grinned soft and held out his fist level for Takumi, it may have been played out but Axel saw this as a show of trust and friendship between comrades.

Takumi looked at the fist confused for a moment before bumping it gently with his own concerned he had done it wrong. It was strange for him learning these friendly antics, it had been a dog eat dog world in the village even at the academy as a student. How Axel turned out so astoundingly... normal was beyond Takumi, but he appreciated the gesture of friendship.

"Well Axel, I'm glad I could help. But, that actually took no time or effort at all really. Would you like to join me and walk to the compound, we can turn in that mission and take up another quick D rank mission?"

"Yeah sure the more missions the better right?" Axel grinned soft walking along with him to the mission compound stretching a little as Hime walked along side him and Takumi. He was proud of his work today, but more than that, he was glad he had finally made a friend in this cold wet village.

Axel grumbled as he walked out of the Mission Compound, The Mizukage was so damn incompetent. He growled and slowly headed towards the village gate, he figured Takumi would catch up whenever he was done in the compound. he had left to check something in the building thus Axel finished his business before he came back.

He leaned back against the village gate pushing back his hair reading over his mission sighing and pushing back his crimson hair wincing a little at the dark gash across his face. Hime laid quietly at his feet as he unrolled the scroll, a bandit was somewhere outside of Kirigakure and they needed someone to take him out his style consisted of basic sword and shield fighting. This should be easy enough.

Expect to face a series of sticky tentacled attacks and be wary of his blinding ink shot. His stretchy five meter arms will definitely come in handy but as thin as he is, the six foot creature shouldn’t be that big of a problem.

Takumi came trotting up the the village gate at a reasonable pace not to tire himself out too soon but not to keep Axel waiting forever either. He waved to him as he drew nearer to the gates before checking his effect to make sure he had all his weapons, specifically his Kodachi. He was by no means one of the great swordsman of the mist, but he great appreciated the short sword for the occasions when things got too close for comfort and with tentacles an edged weapon would come in handy most likely.

"Hey sorry about that, if you're ready to get going I am as well. What are we doing now? I've got a mission to hunt down some squid thing I guess. Suppose you never know what you're going to get in the village."

He held his hand to Hime for her to smell him before he chanced going in to pet her head gently and scratch her behind the ear. The wolf was starting to grow on him somewhat and he appreciated the silent companionship she brought to their odd team. Faithful and loyal to Axel, and Axel and Takumi were just beginning to warm up to each other.

Axel grinned at Takumi as he came up and Hime came closer to him nestling his arm while wagging her tail. "Hm octopus creature? sounds... weird I wanna see this heh"

He headed out of the village following along the route specified by the mission scroll he had received and quietly patted his pack hearing the familiar clinking of his senbon and Trench Knife. He groaned a little bit as the two came to a small fork in the road, the left was the path to his mission but knowing his luck Takumi's objective was the other way.

"Well... we're going left, which way you going?" He asked lifting his fist to Takumi wishing him luck if this was where they split for the moment.

Takumi glanced down at his map in his own mission scroll discerning that he was in fact going to take the right. Mildly disappointing he had hoped Axel and he could efficiently deal with their missions one after the other efficiently finishing two missions at once. It seemed he would have to work alone again though and deal with the mission on his own. Still, he didn't get too downhearted. After all now that he was on his medication and for the most part returning to what he considered normal he was at the top of his game, he even felt stronger.

"Afraid I'm on the right, but hey I'll race you to the finish then? First one done and back to the village wins?"

He looked up from his mission scroll at axel with a small fire behind his eyes. As much as he hated Kirigakure and what it turned people into, couldn't deny it's effect on him was any less than the rest. One of these traits happened to be the hunger and drive for competition, if only among the few ninja the Aburame respected as formidable ninja. Axel had proven himself a ferocious fighter in what Takumi had seen and he was sure he was going to just keep getting stronger.

Axel grinned wide and promptly plucked the mask off the boys face and rushing off down his road. "Fair enough see you when you get back!"

As he raced down the road Hime continued down the road with him she shook her head thinking he was a bit childish for taking the mask but continued with him until they came to a wide clearing. His wolfish grin flew from his face with the wind he had gained as Hime growled crouching down low. "So you're the target..."

A large man with an overwhelming gut stood tall holding his katana aloft while bracing his shield grunting unintelligibly. He clicked his tongue and Hime bolted to the right while Axel went to the right he quickly swiped a senbon from his pack before throwing it at the man. The mans senses were sharp as he raised his shield blocking the needle making it deflect and fly over the trees. but when he lowered his shield Axel and Hime had both vanished. He quickly looked around then out of nowhere he was drug under ground as the ground crackled around him encasing his body as Axel grinned dusting himself off while Hime jumped out of the brush coming to his side when suddenly a senbon flew from the right of the clearing lodging itself in the man's skull silently ending his life.

"... What the fuck was that?" Axel blinked staring at the needle confused then flicked watching the man's head lul. He shrugged and tore the man up out of the hole before hefting him over the shoulder turning back the way they came. before bolting along the road barely slowed by his weight while having put on his sword and shield. Hime yipped happily wagging her tail and Axel grinned at her. "Come on girl we have a bet to win! Woohoo!"

As Axel dropped down to All-Fours his claws giving him traction, he could hear the quiet clinking of his needles against Takumi's mask...

[The Dude]

Takumi fumed for a moment before becoming detached from the powerful emotion and sprinting off down his road. He was not going to lose this challenge, mask or no. As he ran he leaped into the air, a cloud of kikaichuu formed underneath his feet as he landed and the flew together speeding to the cavern near the end of the road.

His arms shot forward stretching out and spewing a massive cloud of Kikaichuu to swarm and buzz into the cave. Takumi waited outside as he listened to the angry buzzing of his kikaichuu before he heard a gurgling roar. The kalimari man was inside being harassed by the swarm he could not fight fairly. He seen game charging out of the cave, his tentacles wrapped around two maces.

Takumi threw a senbon directly at the creatures face, but his wild berzerking threw off Takumi's aim. The hammer in his tentacled hand smashed the need off high into the air as it went whistling away. He continued to charge at Takumi who was actually taken back by how powerful and fast the squid man was. Even more surprising was the reach he had as he already seemed to be swinging a massive sledge hammer down upon him.

Just before the hammer made contact a curtain of kikaichi erected encompassing Takumi in a sphere that spun rapidly buzzing. A small blip could be seen from the inside where the maces crashed against the shield a few times and then suddenly it stopped. The curtain fell and Takumi looked to see the squid man on the floor with a need in his throat.

"...That was fortunate."

The bugs used in his shield formed another cloud of kikaichuu to carry the body for him and together the two clouds sped back along the path air roaring past them. They flew together at a speed of 50 meters every 10 seconds flying back to the village speedily to report in his own success, he wasn't going to lose this competition just yet.

When he returned he was just barely beaten by Axel before handing Axel back his own needle after pulling it from the kalimari man's head. He took his own needle back before looking at Axel taking his mask back and chuckling, "Fuck ass hole."

Takumi hopped down form his cloud onto the ground and the cloud went instead to pick up the man Axel had returned with. Together they walked back to the mission compound, the day was almost over but it wasn't done yet. There were still missions to do!

Description: Mushi Kabe is a secret ninjutsu technique utilized by the Aburame when defense is needed. After expelling the destruction bugs living in their body, they will surround the member and fly at a high rate of speed, forming a protective wall-like vortex. The vortex itself is strong enough to destroy incoming attacks, but the vortex can be disrupted and the clan members inside rendered vulnerable if sufficient explosive force is expended outside the protective shell.

Axel panted setting down the corpse sighing as he took off the sword and shield the brute had been carrying. he looked at the two and decided to keep the shield and give Takumi the sword as part of the mission. He smiled and sat down panting with Hime.

Well at least they won the bet. He waited quietly taking out two other missions he had grabbed about test battles. and sighed confused and interested at the same time. As Takumi showed he grinned as he took his mask back while giving him his senbon Axel tilted his head a little confused and handed the sword to Takumi. "Here, you helped me so I'm splitting my haul."

"Oh also I grabbed a few more missions earlier here." He handed Takumi the two missions scrolls stretching as Hime followed them. "Apparently they need to test our 'youthful vigor' against some creatures." Axel said air quoting as he spits at the ground in disgust. "Our jobs suck"
