The blades of vengeances have fallen swiftly. The shinobi are no more as 'Absolute Justice' has returned...now, it is the Samurai that rule the Five Major Nations!
But at what cost? Have they become the very thing that they despised the most...? Heroes and villains seem to change roles every day, but one thing is for certain - we yearn for our freedom, for days gone by where we flew the skies unhindered.
From the shadows of the forest Yui listened and waited. Soon Ichi went running over head through the forest and decided to run the same direction. Whoever was following them was not likely to give up and would chase after Ichi, but while the line of sight had been broken by a combination of the wall and the fall Yui withdrew a blanket from her pack. Running a further twenty meters away from the wall but still in line of sight that she could see it she threw the blanket over her head making two eye holes for herself to look through. She then backed against a the bark of the tree and melded with the forest becoming invisible to the naked eye.
She could hear Ichi running ahead now and assumed he had a plan of some kind. She had one as well, but it was very simple and short term. In her spot on the tree side she waited and prepared herself for whatever would follow. Whoever this guy was, he couldn't try to hide from them forever. She waited silently holding her breath and waiting for any sound that could be heard.
If the worst should happen she now gripped a small combustible in her left hand, and in her right she clutched a three shuriken at the ready. It wasn't altogether necessary, but Yui felt there could never be enough back up plans until they at least saw what they were up against. Things were going to get ugly real fast...

Fortunately Ichi was right on Yui's trail, following swiftly and watching her back so she decided to focus ahead on the journey they were on. Suddenly, the roar of rumbling earth from below broke the still forest as a wall sprang up lifting the tree line five meters before both Yui. She shouted in alarm and shielded her face by crossing her arms past her face but allowing some vision. At the same time a low pulse of chakra echoed through her body sending a dose of healing chakra to her extremities.
With the elevated forest line, the route forward had changed drastically and Yui began to fall crashing through a few branches and trees. Striking several on the way down she began a free fall tumble through from branch to branch slowing her descent until she finally fell to the ground landing on her knees and forearms and tumbling along the earth. Fortunately though Yui had seen the danger and managed to use some foresight to the fall.
Quickly forcing herself to her feet and assuring herself through the pain that she would be better soon she quickly began to scale the nearest tree. The higher up the tree she climbed the better she began to feel already, and soon she was back to fight fit condition. She knew better than to be trapped on the ground with a doton user on their trail though and continued to climb to a height of fifteen meters off the ground.
There was no time to check on Ichi right now, she was sure he would be fine after all. The fall had been fairly high and branches had been a bother but she managed to get up and keep moving, so she was sure Ichi would be fine on his own for a little bit. He was a skilled shinobi after all, even an Uchiha. If he was clever his sharingan would give him the reactions needed to take a far more graceful fall than Yui had. In addition, he would be able to see any threats coming before she could. After all, whoever was following them could likely hear them and would be able to find them must faster with some auditory aid.
In’yu Shoumetsu (Yin Healing Wound Destruction) Rank: A Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Defensive Handseals: - Chakra Consumption: Low – Massive
By anticipating damage, the user is capable of filling an area with healing chakra before taking a hit; in other words, they can begin the healing process for a wound before actually receiving it. When the wound finally does occur, the advanced healing process rapidly regenerates the flesh of the wounded area, healing it before the eyes of the user and the opponent; this results in an almost instant-healing of wounds. The larger and more complex the wound is, however, the more chakra is needed to heal it.
Note: The chakra cost is equivalent to the technique being countered. The user must be able to see the attack coming and have enough time to prepare in order for this technique to be effective. Techniques with high-impact capabilities will still cause a severe amount of internal injury.

"Wait?!" Yui laughed as she sprung from the ground racing high up the side of a tree and before stepping out onto a high lofted branch twenty meters in the air. "What's the matter now Ichi? Afraid you won't be able to keep up with me now? That wouldn't be embarrassing if you couldn't keep up with a girl now would it? " She didn't even pause to look back instead springing forward and unknowingly further away from the dangerous assailant that crept below and behind them.
She didn't want to have to keep a slow pace where they could keep talking about things that made her feel awkward and uncomfortable. The thought of either of them dying; even the thought of feelings that had yet to fully surface into her consciousness. She ran from all of it and instead focused on the peak she couldn't see through the trees but knew was waiting for her. If her father had indeed come, he would be there and that was the real reason they had come after all. Forward and onward to the assured danger that awaited them.
Every branch she stepped on brought her closer and closer to her hopes. Unfortunately, Yui had no idea that her father had no intention of obtaining a biju. Had she comprehended the thoughts of the old retired shinobi, she would understand he did not want to be found. Little did Yui know that he had gone missing from the mighty kiri nation itself and was laying low in one of the far corners of the world. Was he biding his time to return or simply waiting to die? Even Kiyoshi didn't know.

Yui frowned at him as he answered at first and her brows furrowed angrily at him as he looked away from her. Was he daring to ignore her now or was he afraid to look her in the eye? She couldn't tell but then he looked back and he took hold of her other hand before making her a promise she would hold him to until the end of all things she knew. Her grip tightened on his hand, tight enough that her nails dug into his hand but didn't break the skin.
Pulling the tree of a man down to her level until their noses nearly touched, Yui stood up on tip toe leaning to the side of his head. With a slight tremble of mixed emotions in her voice she whispered quietly in his ear, "I'm going to hold you to that promise Ichi. If you die, I will chase after you through the next life and the one after that even. You will never know a moment's rest again." She let herself recline back onto the soles of her feet again. With Ichi still bent low she set her forehead to his and looked him in the eyes, "I do trust you." She gave him a light peck on the cheek and let go of his hands turning away as her cheeks flushed red.
There was a moment of silence as she set her hands on the handles of her fist knives that hung from her hips. "Alright then, what exactly do we know about where this nasty beast is supposed to be holed up?" Without waiting for a reply she set off through the forest heading in the direction that lead directly to the highest peak of the mountain. The forest was large but something told her she was in the wrong place. Perhaps the lack of assailants that should have infested the area seeking to kill them. Or maybe they were there already. Who knew?

Yui just shook her head slightly, "Baka," she mumbled beneath her breath. The monkey or Yonbi as he was called was a back up scheme Yui had made but even she wasn't sure if it would work. "You know why I want the Yonbi don't you Ichi?" She continued walking ahead but pulled on his hand until he was walking side by side with her through the shade of the forest. "I know it's a silly thought but, every Jinchuuriki in the world has been made somewhat famous or has the ability to be known around the world. If he isn't here today," she bit her lip knowing full well she was getting her hopes up before continuing, "well maybe he'll hear about me and come looking for me."
She didn't look at Ichi but forward into the shadows cast by the forest where they walked. She had always enjoyed the shadows for times like this. Where others might grow wary and cautious of what they can't see Yui experienced only gratitude for the shadows that masked her face from others in times of great distress. In the cloak of darkness she hid her emotions, feelings, and even her greatest hopes. Now in the shadows and focusing forward on the elemental she took a deep breath and calmed herself down before turning to face Ichi again his features having returned to normal.
"So, new promise for this one alright? No funny hero business." She wore a slight but serious frown on her face and her voice was cold with purpose. "If the worst you happen and I get into trouble you're only allowed to come save me if you're absolutely sure there is no risk to your life." Her eye locked in with Ichi's own, staring into his inheritance she squeezed lightly on his hand. "Promise me, Ichi!"
The stood still in the darkness. Yui would not move until he spoke. She would not blink, flinch, or even walk away until Ichi had acknowledged her desire. This was a serious matter to her and it would not be brushed aside as many other serious matters to her seemed to be day in and day out.

"I hope so," Yui muttered as she pressed on through the forest. She didn't bother mentioning what she would do when she found him, because she didn't rightly know what she would do herself. At times she thought she would try to kill him but then she began to doubt her own strength as she heard more and more tales of his exploits. Still she had heard more and more about her father until she began to find it difficult to stay enraged at the mere thought of him. Now she didn't know what to do. Only that she had to find him no matter the cost.
She stopped and held out her hand waiting for the only one her life that seemed to make her smile these days, other than herself of course. She waited for Ichi to take her hand and walk beside her as she smiled a little at his trademark ruffled hair and the sleek black clothes he wore. He was quiet and professional in his demeanor but lethal and fast in action. Everything a proper ninja aspired to be it seemed. Admittedly she wasn't the most proper of ninja herself and bent many rules, but this clashing of opposites coming together as a partnership was both formidable and confusing. It was as if she knew she shouldn't like him, but for some odd reason she did.
In any case though what really mattered was his loyalty and friendship. Here at the very meeting point of deadly enemies he had followed her to help and protect her. "Ichi..." she said quietly as her eyes began to shine with the glassy sheen of tears but she quickly turned away from him and lead on. She wipes her eyes on her fore arm and moved on ignoring the embarrassing act as her cheeks turned red slightly. Partly blushing from embarrassment and partly angry with herself. "Thank you for coming, Ichi-kun."

Yui stood in the shadows of the forest with her arms folded across her chest. Her fist knives were strapped to either hip and a cigarette glowed dimly in the darkness. "So," she mused quietly to herself considering how dangerous and stupid this would all likely turn out to be. "A dangerous demon is loose and every power hungry ninja around the world will be coming for a chance to have him. It's a long shot, but he might make an appearance here. Hard to say if he's even alive, but any chance is better than no chance."
She started off through the forest towards the peak at an easy pace with eyes darting about at any signs of movement. Small squirrels and rodents occasionally disturbed fallen leaves or ran through the shrubbery of the forest but so far all was silent. Hell this was too good to be true so far, which was disappointing for Yui who had expected to run into at least a few shinobi. But even the critters of the forest seemed scarce at the time for such a forest. Unusual at the least.
Yui was a little downhearted when there were no shinobi who had arrived yet. She had hoped to find a gathering of the mightiest shinobi the world had to offer because the one she was looking for could very well be in their number. She chewed on her bottom lip thoughtfully considering that maybe she was just getting her hopes up. In fact she was certain she was, but that hadn't stopped her so far and it wouldn't stop her now. For better or for worse, she was reaching for any chance to find her father she could.
Reaching into her pocket she withdrew all the information on him she had started with when she began the search long ago. A rectangular card she withdrew from her blouse that had the image of Tenzo Kiyoshi, her father. He had a disgusted grimace and eyes that blazed crimson. Facial Stubble and dark shades gave him a rather mean appearance but even the information on him was somewhat... vague.
"You see, Ichi?" she asked drawing attention to the tall shadow that strode beside her. "This is all I've had to gone on for all these years. I like to think if I had a little more information than this I would have found him by now. All it says is that he was and shinobi of Amegakure. An Anbu actually and that his last assignment took him out of the country as tragedy struck. Then he was seen again in Amegakure just before the gates reopened and Ji was made Kage." She pursed her lips to the side thoughtfully, "I'm still not sure I trust his sudden appearance as kage. Much less that he has no idea what happened to my father."

Yui continued to stare at her glass with a blank expression watching each of the drops creep down to the table at their own leisure. It wasn't long that she stared at this allowing her thoughts to drift about without direction, that Ranshi could be seen making his entrance onto the mostly vacant rooftop. Yui smiled warmly at him as he approached and took a mental note about the ruffled look of his hair. It looked as though he had fluffed it from a mess of hair into a more intentional mess of hair. It looked good.
She smiled and nodded at his greeting understandingly, "Well, how mad can I really be? I do it all the time myself don't I?" She laughed reminding Ichi of the time she had been late rising in her day to start a mission which of course held some higher importance than a friendly late morning breakfast. "I'm just glad you made it at all really. I know I almost let myself sleep right through it if it weren't for the cats that woke me up." Yui turned in her seat to wave a waiter over to the table. "Let's not waste too much time though I just ordered and you should do the same. I'm not going to be polite and wait for your food to arrive while mine gets cold after all."
As the waiter began to walk across Yui answered Ichi's next question to the best of her ability, "This is honestly my first time being here so I'm not sure what their best food is. I've heard they have some excellent noodles and seafood, but it's really what you're in the mood for I suppose. All I know is they didn't have cereal." She stopped as the waiter had arrived at the table and looked to Ichi expectantly for his order.
"And what can I interest you in sir?"

Yui followed the waiter to her table before being seated and ordering stew and bread. The waiter shuffled off quietly to the elevator and descended back to the kitchens in the lower levels. She sat on the roof of one of the many sky scrapers in the village that peered down on the many citizens below moving about like ants. The terrace also had a canvas that covered the patrons of the restaurant shielding them from the downpour.
She propped her elbows up on the table and set her chin in her palm supporting her head as she gazed blankly through the curtain of rain. The rain was starting to lose it's charm. Not that she was getting tired of it or annoyed by any means but her enthusiasm for it was starting to fade. It was too commonplace here to be enjoyed as thoroughly as she once had. Instead she looked past it and off into the distance at the ruins of the building Ji and her had spotted earlier.
She was waiting for her friend Ranshi to arrive for their late afternoon lunch, but her thoughts now drifted back to her father and the history of the Tenzo and Kekkai clans. She knew next to nothing about them and told herself that she didn't want to know about them, but curiosity at away at her core. Try as she might to deny it, she knew someday she would have to venture into the building and explore for herself.
The grumble of her stomach brought her back to reality and she looked down at the table. "That douche forgot to fill my glass," she muttered darkly to herself as she took the empty glass on the table and held it out over the edge of the building. The heavy downpour began to fill it with haste and within two minutes the glass was filled with purified rain water. She set it back down on the table as drops of rain ran down the side of the glass onto the table.
The man looked amused at first as Uso took a step back, "You're clever Uso. But forcing the hand isn't always the best move. If you believe me to be a pawn, that's up to you. But pawns are fools best manipulated when they know nothing of circumstances." He formed a flurry of hand seals and in two seconds the symbols on the board representing pieces took the form of black ink monsters that snarled and howled across the board at him but made no moves yet.
"Clever boy, I've now revealed a few cards in my hand. I know all the cards you hold as well. So tell me, do you really want to force the rest of my hand knowing full well that what I've shown you trumps your hand?" He crossed his arms and his face was cross with anger and disappointment in Uso. Even his pupils blazed with fire as the creatures cried for blood and violence. "You can either play my games, or see the rest of my hand brought against you with fury!"
"What will you do now clever boy?!"

The girl jumped up and down in circles while spinning happily before becoming dizzy in about ten second and stumbling and falling backwards into a bush while flailing her arms. "ooooohhhhh.... thorns," her voice carried up from out of the Ji's view in the depths of the bush. "Wait a minute are you still here?! What's wrong with you hurry up and go! You know the answer don't expect me to take you to your own village! Hurry before brother does something bad again!"
There was urgency in her voice as she struggled to get out of the bush. More than urgency there was sincere concern for the well being of Uso. This had always been an event to be taken seriously, but it's never a good sign when the other side is concerned for your own.

Yotsuki waited politely for the young kage to take a seat while he poured both glasses despite the young boy's refusal. "Fair enough. I suppose a boy your age shouldn't be drinking anyway," he said. His hands trembled slightly as he poured the glasses before setting the bottle back down. Raising the first glass he tossed back the drink and gave a short shudder before setting the glass back down and looking across the table at the raikage.
"Well, then we're both busy men so I'll cut to the chase. I don't want you to rebuild the village as the quaint peaceful community it once was. I want us to rebuild it together, but not as a quaint village. Instead I would prefer Kumogakure be rebuilt in such a way that all would think twice before attacking us again." He lifted the second glass sipping it gingerly before continuing, "And that those responsible for our most recent tragedy, tremble in fear and pray we never find them."
He leaned forward now over the desk lifting scrolls and papers about looking for something particular but continued, "You are obviously the new kage, and I do not mean to question your judgements or how you lead our people in anyway. That is why I am being honest and upfront about my intentions here today. I want to turn you into a symbol for your people and a threat to your enemies."
He seemed to find what he was looking for withdrawing a picture of his daughter who passed away during the attack on the village. "This cannot happen again..." a single tear nearly formed but he blinked and wiped it away before looking across at Heihachi once more with glassy eyes. He outstretched his hand offering the picture to the raikage for inspection. "Beautiful wasn't she? You understand don't you? I... I just can't stand another loss to my house, let alone my village."
