[/i], Aika Manor is a large building complex in Kirigakure No Sato's Nereid District. The facilities are fully staffed 24 hours a day, though entrance is barred to all but a few of Akuharu's personal contacts and emissaries from the Kage's Tower. The Village Leader himself is welcome, as are any delegates or ambassadors which might find need to rest at the elaborate grounds, though its amenities are reserved for its single resident. Akuharu does not know why the strange Mangetsu would donate such an expensive lot of land to a complete stranger, but he is grateful to have a place to train and study, as he continues the search for Dr. Sonzairyuu Kaida.

INTERIOR DOJO

A classical dojo recently rebuilt and remodeled to hold a much larger number of students than originally intended, it is now home to a young man who throws himself recklessly into training techniques which might serve him as a new and fledgling shinobi of Kirigakure No Sato. There is an armory located near the entrance, and an outdoor training area accessible through the main doors.

Additional areas include an outdoor shrine designed to facilitate meditation and focus, regardless of religious inclination, a kitchen area where eager staff are more than happy to prepare moderately nutritious meals, Akuharu's personal sleeping quarters, and an outdoor garden featuring botanical variety from all over the world.

He took a small step forward with his right leg, the left moving back along the natural line of his body, which was turned slightly sideways as his arms were raised in a defensive manner, the cutting edge of the blade pointing upwards. He held the naginata higher than his own head, as he placed his right arm along the front end of the hilt, and the left to subtly cradle the back end. He set his feet, allowing the rigidity to leave his body and loosening his joints, while his breathing slowed to a bare minimum; he closed his eyes and as his chakra burned the air around him, he let his right hand rise slightly and fall, his left still attached to the back end of the blade hilt, and carried the slashing movement through to completion as a brief step forward with his left foot connected the momentum of the move into a half-spin, ending with the blades point thrust suddenly forward. In his mind, he allowed his conflicting energies to follow the same flow and path as Akurojin-no-hi, imagining a slowly draining funnel that would carry the flame-like emanation of will along with it.

A tiny wave of barely visible heat traveled from the vibrating metal of the blades edge out its tip, and as quickly as he'd begun the movement, he used his knowledge of shunshin to 'flicker' a half step to his right, delivering another heat carrying slash through the air. At the highest point of the maneuver, he twisted again, this time just his upper body as his feet remained planted, and letting go with his left hand, used the right to torque the blade so that the flat of it would move with the same ferocity as the cutting edge. His left hand found the hilt again, mimmicing the grip of the right, and brought the weapon edge flying up through the air and behind him, ending with a blackened ash-mark on the ground. Another 'flicker' half a step to the left and a slow moving stab, followed by four more slashes aimed at an imaginary opponents heart, neck, and hands. As the movement ended, a full shunshin would return him to his original stance. Extending his arms upwards, he gave out a soft grunt as a fast vertical downward application of pressure completed the kata.

He stood, holding the blade tightly in his left hand, jumped high into the air, spinning his entire body multiple times before using the right to accentuate the movement. As the blade came around, he whipped it beneath his own feet, allowing them to rest on its length just long enough to 'flicker' another few steps off of its weight. The naginata was propelled forward, bearing the touch of his violence ignited chakra, and his body turned a complete horizontal revolution before he drove the blade straight down, finally relinquishing himself to gravity.

As the metal bit into the softened earth of the outdoor training area, Akuharu would be seen crouched atop the hilt with his entire body, like a lone flea sitting atop a sprig of grass, and without hesitation, he took another breath, and held his incredible weight in stillness on Akurojin-no-hi's unwavering mass.

All was silent and still, except for his mind.

There was someone very important he needed to find.
