Kiijin examined the broken valve and pipe even further, attempting to gauge the extent of the damage it received. It hadn't been too bad, at least nothing that Kiijin couldn't fix with the environment itself, but having heard Takumi's statement that motioned towards the possibility of hostiles approaching, fortunately the matter itself could be handled really quickly. If these assailants really knew their position, they most likely would have known that this was a dead end, nothing more than a water filled basin with a narrow tunnel leading from the area. One thing was sure, they had to come to Kiijin, and with that alone was enough to warrant their untimely end in the most gruesome of ways.

He had some time before their arrival, or so Kiijin believed, but that had not stopped him from ascending through the waters, reaching the surface in record time. He launched out of it like a springing dolphin and landed upon the edge of the 90^o drop that lead into the basin of water itself. Ardemus' light blue hues began to beam brightly as it was withdrawn from its owners obi sash, wedged tightly between the fingers of a right hand. That same arm, while Kiijin stood at a side view, extended in a lateral fashion and pointed Ardemus' tappered tip towards the tunnel. Hearing the echoing steps of amateur level shinobi.

Molding the chakra within him, a powerful expulsion of water beckoned forth from Ardemus' tip, swallowing the tunnel whole, and given the narrow ceiling that barely reached ten meters, the approaching ninja had no choice but to become submerged. Unfortunately, the nightmare hadn't quite started, following up on his Baku Suishoha, another charge of chakra from Kiijin to his sword sent forth 5 ravenous sharks within the water itself that spread throughout the tunnel, maiming and tearing apart their bodies with a mere bite. As the wave of water subsided, as did the sharks, he looked towards Takumi with a tooth grin before diving back into the basin.

It seemed like no time at all had passed since Takumi had sprayed down the entrance way with glue before Kiijin shot up and out of the water like a leaping fish. Although fish may not be the best term to describe him, as he drew his sword and unleashed a torrential water attack that submerged the tunnel entirely just as the new arrivals got stuck on the glue.

At that moment the kikai buzzed alarmingly at the ninja who had snuck up behind Takumi. Takumi sidestepped spinning on the ball of his foot while his wrist blade sprung out narrowly avoiding his assassin's attack. Takumi drove the wrist blade through the man's exposed throat while gripping his neck with the same hand to keep him from squirming and escaping.

With his spare hand he retrieved two throwing needles he swiftly sent whistling into the eyes of the last ninja. The ninja fell to his knees crying loudly just before his cries were muffled. The sarm of kikai that had alerted Takumi had completely enveloped the poor ninja stifling him as they bit and tore into him beginning to drain chakra from him. He would be left alive if only just, in the off chance they would need more answers.

"If not unexpected. Any chance you know how to repair the basin so we can finish up and get out of here?"

As the spewing waters of baku suishoha spread evenly throughout the tunnel maze, the waters died down swiftly, enough to allow for safe travel along the walkways, namely for Takumi and his kikai if they expected to take the captured men in. Although Kiijin killed the extras, he figured as long as they had one or two, it really didn't matter. Nevertheless he listened carefully to Takumi's inquiry, wondering if Kiijin knew of a way to fix the jam, thankfully, he had the proper tools.

"Don't worry, I'll get this shit done quickly."

Without giving Takumi enough time to respond, he turned around and dove back into the water filled basin with a headlong leap. Sinking into the depths of the basin, he found himself next to the valve with his heightened strength as a hoshigake, turning it even with it half broken wouldn't have been a difficult task, as for the broken pipe, that hadn't been a problem at all either. Motioning towards the slit within the pipe, a simply jutus would solve the problem itself. He placed Ardemus' tip just above the opening, only to use his chakra to expel a syrupy liquid to coat over the metal itself. Afterwards he reached into his hip pack for a blank piece of parchment paper in which he wrapped around the pipe opening as well as the layer of syrup which caused it to stick.

Going back to the valve, his strength was enough to turn it back to a more balanced pressure, allowing a steady flow to return to the system itself. Problem solve and case closed, Kiijin reached the surface, nodded his head with a toothy grin towards Takumi before taking his leave, heading towards the Mizukage's office.

Kiijin dove down under the surface once more as his body cut through the water like a blade. Takumi went over to his bug covered captive who whimpered and cried in vain. He would drag him back to the office for questioning on the reasons behind this sabotage. Lifting the captive's legs up from the ground he the blade of his Kodachi through the man's ankles, pinning them together before dragging him along the ground back to the edge of the basin.

It wasn't long before Kiijin had resurfaced and grinned at Takumi who returned the smile from under his mask. The hoshigaki took his leave of the sewers then now that the mission was done. Very business like and still friendly. Takumi hoped to work with the skilled shinobi more often in the future as he dragged the limp moaning captive down the tunnels his cries carrying down the pipes hauntingly.

"I hope there are more Kirigakure shinobi like that nice shark boy. Maybe if we're all so freaky looking, I won't stand out at all."
