Rank: C Ninja needed: 1-3 Mission info: A teenage girl was brutally murder Kawatonton, a town just north of Kirigakure. A second was brutalized, but escaped death. Find the killer and give him a dose of his own medicine. A man who hits a woman is nothing but scum. However, a man who kills a woman deserves a punishment only a devil could deliver, which is exactly why I took the mission. I knew first hand how it felt to have someone close to you die, but I couldn't imagine how i would feel if I found they died by someone elses hands. Kirigakure was already buzzing with the news of the murder. The villagers shook in fear as they described the grotesque scene left behind by my target, gasps echoed through the village and were accompanied by frightened expressions. Stores closed early, in fear that this grizzly murderer would soon attack them. Even though the murder had happened in Kawatonton, the fear had spread to my village. I immediately left for Kawatonton after I had thoroughly prepared myself. I had numerous ideas on how to complete this mission, and I could fell The Demon's influence leaking into my head. My cool demeanor had completely disappeared now, and The Demon's twisted soul had began to warp my skin to a reddish tan. After an hour of sprinting and leaping I finally made it to the small, overlooked village of Kawatonton. I could already see how the murders had affected the village. It was everything you would expect from a loving, nurturing village. Families and friends raised children together in harmony. Teenagers fell in love, and developed bonds so strong that the massive strains of their hormonal lives couldn't dare separate them. The adults maintained their youth, and there were know devious secrets kept from the children. This village was a perfect model for what an ideal village should be. But now, fear ruled this land, and with that fear came misunderstandings and anger stirred in the hearts of the youth: which was brewed by the yearning to know what was happening to their home, to their village. It was almost enough to bring me to tears. How could one fool destroy the perfect culture this village had laid as its foundation. Whoever had done this, had to die. The Demon danced happily in my head as I fed it my rage. Both patients and workers stepped out from their rooms confirming who I was and examining me. I didn't know at first if they did this to protect the victim, or if they were just curious about the Shinobi passing through their halls, but at the moment I ignored their eyes. By the time I got to the victims room I could hear the doctors voice. He was going on about medicine and other things I'm sure the girl really wasn't paying attention to. The victims voice was the easiest to make out, it was feeble, and broken, exactly what i would expect of someone who suffered the way she did. I leaned against the wall adjacent to her doorway, and waited for the doctor to finish his business.As I waited, I began to remember the feel of all the wary eyes the villagers shared. It was nice knowing that this woman had people who looked out for her, and to be honest I expected no less from this family orientated village. Those villagers may have began to take precautions around strangers, but they still had deep bonds toward each other, it was a truly beautiful thing. "Erm, excuse me, are you alright? Would you like to lay down?" My eyes jerked open. I hadn't even realized that I had fell asleep until the doctor's spoke. " I'm so sorry! You were just take a little longer than I expected and I, erm..." Embarrassment danced in my head and i knew it reflected on my face. I focused my gaze on the floor like a child expecting to be scolded, but instead of fulfilling my expectations, the doctor patted me on the shoulder and said, " Heh, don't worry about it. Actually to tell you the truth it was comforting seeing you out here asleep. When we heard The Devil Of The Mist was coming to our lil' village, a lot of people panicked. But watching you sleep so peacefully, and acting like a typical youth has truly set this ol' soul at ease. It took a minute to register in my head exactly what he had just said, but when it hit, I almost burst in to tears. He had compared me to another "youth" in HIS village. To anyone one else it would have no meaning, but to me, it was like he had bottled acceptance, rolled it up with peace, and wrapped it tightly in generosity. He had called me "normal", and this was the greatest gift I have ever been given. " Now, Ayako is inside waitn' for ya', I told her you where comin'. She says she gots' some interesting information you could use to catch this brute." My arms were shaking, The Demon had taken over my heart, but this time he did not come bearing rage, this time he brought serenity, and happiness. I walked past the doctor, the kindest soul I had ever met, and entered Ayako's room. I did not look back, but I could hear the doctor walking away, and before I entered the Ayako's room, I turned and bowed, then muttered, " Thank You." The last thing that girl needed to see was the ninja she had in charge of her investigation crying.I wiped away the tears that had formed in my eyes, and took a deep breath, clearing away my emotions, before entering Ayako's room. When I entered the room, I nearly hurled. Ayako had been beaten far worse than the dossier had informed me. Her right eye was swolen, and almost covered the deep cuts on her forehead, her lips matched her eyes, and blood could be seen on her gown. Those wounds had to be fresh because I could still smell the antibiotic cream. I didnt know if this girl was even in any condition to tell her story, and I really didn't know if she would want to relive it. But I had to get this info, it was my only lead. "Ayako, sweetheart can you speak?" She nodded at me, and I could tell that she was still in shock. I walked towards her, and she began to withdraw under her covers in fear. I turned to the right, and flashed my head band at her. She didnt immediately relax like the other villagers had, but she still allowed me to approach her. She told me that she had been alone at night when the attack occurred, typical, and that she heard a ruffling noise near the bushes. She was smart, she didn't stick around to investigate and had began to turn tail and run, but then she saw something that stopped her in her tracks; a limp grey hand, covered in blood. Ayako had tried o help the person on the ground, but she realized she was too late, that's when her attack began. The killer hadn't left his crime scene yet, and Ayako was to become his latest victim. He pushed her to the ground, and tore at her clothes. He beat and cut her, and she didn't have enough strength to fight him off. Her beating was long, and excruciating, but she continued to fight him. Ayako described every horrifying blow. My stomach was doing back flips, and i could taste the vomit coating my throat. I thought i was a devil, but this guy really took the cake. After Ayako finished her description, something stuck out in my mind. "Wait, what kind of knife did you say he was using? Ayako's face looked confused, but she re-described the knife anyway. It was sorta' triangular, and on the hilt it had a lil' loop thingy. No doubt about it, that was a kunai. Whoever this murderer was he had access to ninja weapons. The only place he could obtain something like that is from Kirigakure. I immediately thanked Ayako, and left the room. I ran out of the hospital and headed towards the Kawatonton records, which were held in the town hall. I searched through the records for anyone that had left, or came from Kirigakure. I had to work fast, after all it would only take a few minutes for the local authorities to notice that i had broken into the town hall. My search proved fruitless at first, but then i stumbled upon a police record that had been placed in the wrong cabinet. The report stated that a Mr. Akake had illegal immigrated into Kawatonton, and that he had been removed from the house he was squatting in several days before the murders. This surely wasn't coincidence was it? I mean this guy had no records or anything, he was practically non-existent on any other records. He hadn't left home, perhaps he was confident that he would never be found. Unfortunately for him, there was a devil in his trees waiting for him. I've noticed something peculiar about myself, I like to examine those I plan to kill. I have no idea why i do this but it just feels natural. The next few seconds passed in a instant. I wasted no time killing this bastard. I had continuously reviewed Ayako's description of her attacker, and this balding bitch matched it perfectly. "Your going down you twisted motherfucker." I sprang from the tree and threw his window, and instantly went for the kunai in my holster. He was stunned, and could only fumble on the ground in fear as I stabbed him, over and over, and over again. I made sure not to hit his vitals at first, yet I picked the most painful areas and repeatedly shoved the kunai into them. I wanted him to suffer for a moment. My vengeance would last for a whole hour before I wrapped my arms around his head, and broke his neck. I didn't linger long. I knew it would take a while to discover his body, but when the police would come, I would be gone, my mission would be complete, and Ayako would be avenged. Before I left, I made sure I left a beautiful white rose on Ayako's stand.
