one bad thing about living in kirigakure was the constant blanket of thick gray clouds that hung over your head, even if it was not expected to rain. sunny days in the mist village were just a flat out no. it was still cool and crisp outside when meiko was making her way toward mrs. bunya's house. she had known the older lady for awhile, actually, as the woman lived right down the street from her and her mother and had used to own the little grocery stand where meiko's mother would buy all their fruits and vegetables, so when she was little meiko would have friendly chats with the woman, so she had no problem taking on the mission of walking her dogs, even though she knew it was going to be a task. since she had so many dogs, meiko was going to walk them in three groups, two groups of five and one group of four, which she thought would be fairly easy to handle.
around 8 am, meiko was knocking on the older woman's door. she hoped she wasn't still asleep or that she would hurry up, as the mist that surrounded her always gave meiko a funny feeling, something not easily explainable to anyone. she got her wish, thankfully, and a few moments later the older woman opened the door, letting her in from the cool air that had been causing goosebumps to appear on her sensative flesh.
"morning, meiko"
"good morning, mrs. bunya"[/color]
meiko chirped a response back enthusiastically, despiste her want to be back in the bed, snoring and dreaming of cute guys without shirts, on, but she would have to wait for that. the older woman, surprisingly, had a very nice and wellkept house. it had a country style look about it. the older woman offered meiko some hot chocolate and she nodded in appreciation before taking a seat next to the fire, warming her cooled off bones- that was what she got for wearing a tube top! a few moments later she was sipping at a cup of warm hot chocolate next to the fire, smiling and chatting animatedly with the old lady. once she was finished, she thanked her and set upon leashing up five of the dogs as they awoke from their slumber.
the woman told her their names were daisy, rose, sunflower, chrysy and violet [apparently she had a love for flowers]. meiko petted each one appreciately, surprised they were really good, but the woman assured her that they were well trained, as all of them were older type dogs, tired of just playing around. meiko nodded appreciately and lead the dogs outside. she would just walk them around the neighborhood. they were halfway through with their walk when the first sign of trouble came. rose, the youngest, had spotted a squirrel and began barking animatedly, which in turn caused the other dogs to start doing that, tugging and pulling hard on the leashes. it took all her strength to stop them from getting free and drag them away from the squirrel, which caused them to stop acting wild and walk normal.
by this time, however, she was heading toward the door, allowing them inside and unleashing them, sitting by the fire for a few minutes to heat up before planning her next adventure out.
