The night was welcome and opening to him, its silence was pleasant as it betrayed the silence that filled the village. It was not a silence that was brought on by depression, it was natural and quaint there were crickets and on occasion a drip or two of water, a natural flow of nature that made those around calmer as if by soothing almost aural touch. It was in this that he was actually relishing a mission high ranked and difficult though it might be, the faces of defeat, despair, demise and dismissal that he had seen in the kazekage’s office from this mission was indeed a debacle that destroyed his day.
But, he could find solace in this pretty little world, where he could flirt with the stars and gaze lovingly at the moon, he carried with him a quarter staff and it was not his, it felt awkward in his grip, he was on guard duty ‘till his escort arrived and they though he should be armed but they didn’t quite give two shits, pardon his French, but it was true. They simply deftly tossed a weapon his way from a pile of differently measured staves that looked in his opinion rather well used. He wouldn’t think of using it though, the crime rate in sunagakure wasn’t exactly dangerously high enough where he though he would actually get into a heated scuffle, at least until the V.I.P was in his vicinity, then everything would pick up in a rather brutish fashion he imagined.
He didn’t really have a full path planned out for his guard duty this night, or rather his nocturnal patrolling if he could touch up the real name of the job without changing the words around to make it sound as lofty as guard duty he wasn’t really so much a guard as a prefect at this moment. He didn’t mind though, guards were rather fixed to their position and in his own opinion at this moment where he could seemingly open his pores to the chill and biting night air and look around and only see serenity he was indeed superior, and he would be recognized certainly as such once the mission was all said and done.
