Few tried to resist the occupation, their spirit broken without a leader. They would have to fend for themselves for now, and with the assistance of Yanagi and borrowing Kojiro's headband, the duo easily entered into occupied Sunagakure. [/classy]They had one agenda for this evening, and that was the collection of Shu's remaining family. The Etsuko was a threat to the power of Iwagakure, and the numerous amount of heirs viewed as leaders of the nation would no doubt trigger murder or attack by the foreign army. Through streets of rubble, the now white haired albino trailed behind Yanagi as he ascertained it was safe, and they made their way to the estate of Shu's family. A family that mostly fell from grace after Shu disappeared, as his marriages were all politically made. Foreign women bearing half-foreign children, all disinterested in the culture of the village, or even the desire to be a 'shinobi'. They were spoiled Princes and Princesses, lavished by the wealth of the dynasty that reigned. The elders went as far as to even lock the family away at the edge of the village, disassociating them from the rest of the community - segregation at its finest. They fabricated a story of Shu having but one child - an Uchiha that was easily manipulated but weak. In the end he was slain by Youka, who must have clearly saw through the elders scheme to find suitable puppets to place upon the "throne". They were obsessed with the Uchiha portion of the Etsuko family, ignoring the other siblings who did not bear the blood of an Uchiha. Their father was not one - their father was simply a man who enjoyed the legs of women, and with his power came the lust of many, a harem easily established that bore many first and second generation Etsuko. That was a long time ago, though. The gate to the estate was open, broken down as the building seemed to be falling apart. Zinaida was a useless mother, a useless keeper as well. She cared only for wealth and adoration, but lacked the ability to be able to give it back. He sighed, face resting against his palm as he stood before what was his home three years ago, flashbacks of a home where he and his children resided happily, a beautiful garden and a bountiful orchard in the back. His boots echoed against the broken pavement as he walked the winding path, and he opened the door with a slight push, fully aware of what was to come after discussion with his wife. There were Iwa shinobi here, inside. Using his estate as an outpost. He was frisked, surrounded, and he and Yanagi were almost arrested. However, the single word of "Dad?" saved them - a familiar voice standing at the third on the staircase near the base, red eyes as jeweled as his own - hair as white. "... Ararik." the Iwa guards backed away slightly, weary of the scene unfolding but seemingly convinced... By the resemblance of father to son. |
