A set of Sunagakure's most prized messenger birds claimed the important words in their beaks that were designated for Yusuke and Vanyl of the Kaguya heritage, both at the opposite ends of the gender spectrum, yet their blood each possessed a Kekkei Genkai that was infamous for it's murderous capabilities. Each letter was sent personally from me, outlining the details of the mission that I requested for the three of us, and I hoped they would be bold enough to accept the challenge and accomplish the objective alongside me. Conflict was rare in this day and age, especially within the village of the Sand, but that didn't mean it was nonexistent, and surprisingly, gossip spoke of a mafia family that was becoming progressively threatening in this expansive town. The Suna military force couldn't enforce authority in every inch of the village, and not every brain could be beat into submission. Malignant minds was inevitable, and as a soldier and protector of my homeland's civilians, it would be a part of my commitment to defeat such opposition when the people beckoned for it. The third dawn had arrived, and the threat of the mafia family determined this very day to be the newspaper man's demise. Fearing the shadows and what death the criminal organization had planned for him, the target couldn't steer wrong with enlisting the sandman as his temporary entourage, and I couldn't chose two better Taijutsu-efficient shinobi to aid me during the conquest. Fortunately, this gang could be a hundred-men wide, and it wouldn't matter for a second, for the silica earth beneath me held a defensive personality that could withstand the fiercest of opponents. Sanguine and anxious to slaughter the assailant that would be sent for the newsman, I stood several meters away from the client's headquarters, examining the area for potential suspicious entities while I awaited the two Genin's arrival. With the mission information gripped in a hand, it intrigued me how the writer had the balls to spread word about an upcoming assassination, but would then retract his audacity by paying for security...? The day was hot and unbearable as Vanyl hid her face beneath her cloak. She had gotten the mission from a carrier bird earlier and she found a sadistic smile slip across her lips. Killing was her pleasure and she was gonna get high this day. She could feel her bones twitching anxiously for blood, the sensation made her tremble and hold her arms touching the goosebumps apparent in the bright light. she simply smiled at the coming death that was going to unfold before her.

She walked along the rooftops scanning the meeting point that her time was supposed to meet up in and hopped down stumbling over into the ginger headed boy smiling softly as her crimson eyes seem to glow under her hood. "S-Sorry... I'm Vanyl."

Calcium was something that was required for the prodigy, more then 10 cups of milk due to his tiring but rare jutsu that came within his blood, manipulation of bones. If it was enough, milk was more then a neccesity for the young Kaguya. His bones already adapted to his exotic fighting style which was much more tiring then before, but came better results.

Waking up to a letter at his window which contained the details of his mission that he decided to do after noticing how low he was on supplies, money wasn't a really bad thing at the moment. After finishing the last cup of milk, he threw it out his window in hope of someone getting hurt. Equipping himself with most of his weapons, it would have been much harder now that is wasn't any of the ordinary low ranked work he occasionally did.

Instead of arriving to the scene to be by himself, noticing two figures who must have been the two the prodigy would be assisting for the day. A female with an older male, assuming the older figure was the man who would be leading them today into success. With a swift leap he appeared between the two in an instant.

Investigating the surrounding area before meeting the client seemed necessary, and since I lacked the visual aid of what the companions and adversary's description would be, I could only expect a spontaneous occurrence to reveal them. The analysis was complete; the newspaperman's home was two stories tall, composed of refined earth, and embedded into a combination of several residences, located in a section of the village that was absent of crowds and suspicious faces, which was relieving. Stone-plated streets carried the resonating sound of even the most deceptive footsteps, while the designated building itself hosted an elderly, unused chimney and easily-maneuverable windows – a mixture of entrances we would have to sustain constant visibility upon. With the Sun barely wedging itself into the earthen atmosphere, we would have to remain attentive especially during the most careless moments. The first of the Kaguya siblings to arrive was the kunoichi named Vanyl, her countenance slightly hidden behind a loose hood, but the intensity of the crimson orifices she possessed couldn't be sheltered. Although the redness in her eyes was tantalizing, the contradictory paleness of her shell was interesting enough. The mysterious vibe extracting from her aura brought me to believe that the female was one that shouldn't be underestimated, especially with the bone-manipulating ancestry in her blood. "S-Sorry... I'm Vanyl." "The name's Vanyl, eh? Well then, I'm glad you showed up. I'll wait for the other one bef-" And just as fleetingly as the thought of the second Genin came to mind, a white-haired figure seemingly transported directly between the kunoichi and myself, a distance that was merely a few meters apart, and the intrusive male suddenly demanded attention. I couldn't admit that I was startled or thrown off-guard, for this was expected to be displayed from adolescents. The whitened skin and whitened patch of locks upon the male's head... was this colour a dominant trait from those who specialized in bone manipulation? "YO! I'M YUSUKE!" "Oi, you sure do know how to make an entrance! Vanyl and Yusuke... I've heard good things about you both, hopefully you don't disappoint! Since this mission is B-Class and unexpected to be completed by shinobi of your rank, I've decided to be your mentor during it's completion. As for names... some call me 'Sunarashijin', but you can call me Rokuto!" A devilish smirk and a thumb pointed against myself and the titles of one another was crystal-clear. Although we hadn't been given the opportunity to establish sufficient information about one another before this encounter, we weren't here to chit-chat and discuss what eachother's favorite colour was. This was a mission, and the more time we wasted dilly-dallying, the more chance that we'd find the client dead before our feet. Anxious to understand the mindset behind the target and what clues could reinforce our assurance of completing the assignment, I'd cut right to the chase. Vanyl smiled at the ginger and stood straight up and pushing back her hood letting her platinum hair out. The sudden appearance of the second gennin made her jump a little as she raked her eyes over him noticing similar features she had. He was loud but she shrugged it off leaning against a nearby light pole also putting an equal distance between them all.

Vanyl listened to the recap of the mission and rolled her head popping her neck and with each pop a bone spike would grow from her vertebrae out of the side of her neck before shrinking back under her skin. She knew what happened when she did it and was curious of their reaction as her crimson eyes scanned the building and area. Then she heard his rule about not killing anyone and her bones shook in sorrow while she pouted. "Awww... why cant we kill anyone... I'm not exactly built for non-lethal confrontation."

The man before identifying himself as the one who was leading this mission and the female who seemed to be his partner for the day. Commenting on his entrance, well it was the way the young Kaguya always approached people new to him. Even though they were his fellow village shinobi he always was shy and forced the sudden attention upon himself. Having no friends within the village was unheard of, but it wasn't for the prodigy that stood between the two right now.

The mission contained information about a certain mafia family that had threatened to keep writing about hits that most likely they planned to kill. Luckily they didn't need to kill but the females sadistic expression including her statement about any killing. Murderous intent was easily noticeable within the female, which also holds the same blood as him. The Kaguya blood... the bloodied history he had read always plagued him during his dreams. Watching himself was a better idea then sorry during this mission.

Fully prepared for the most part of the mission including the equipment he would require during a high ranking mission. The windy breeze brushed up against his face as he ran his hand through his hair. A sigh of relief escaping his lips. An experienced ninja would aid in success.

The single thought that reverberated endlessly spoke of whether it would be possible finding two more Genin that pointed toward different shades on the colour spectrum, with distinct personalities that I undoubtedly hadn't seen since my recent interest in mentoring the lowerclassmen. The contrast was inspiring; a bloodthirsty, female archer reminiscent of a childhood friend, and one invigorated dude with hidden talents that I couldn't fathom beside his bone-manipulating heritage... this was definitely going to be an interesting mission. "Hohoho! You must be Sunagakure's three stooges!" And from the intended client's building, standing directly in front of the door we were just seconds from approaching, stood a man of a humble, proper stature, his hairstyle rather amusing and his eyes as piercing as a hawk's. For the arrogant words of a petite man, his five-foot height and slender build was enough reason why he would fear the safety of his life, and the slick comment faded in this realization. The clothing of the man was akin to that of a businessman while his facial expression appeared to lack faith in our capabilities. With a suitcase clutched tightly in his right hand, our initial assumptions would be that the container held nothing except extremely important documents, pertaining to the client's profession and something I couldn't find less interest in. Not one bit, but she bit her lip and simply bowed in acknowledgement for fear her potent venom would lash at him. Her eyes scanned the puny man finding him even shorter than she looking like a classic monkey/tool, though her eyes caught the suitcase and her interest was peaked. Why would the man carry it out with him when they were there to protect him and, assuming so, his dwelling?

"Is that suitcase on our protection detail too sir?" she asked while watching the case while the skin on arms rolled with the bones growing and receding underneath making her skin seem ready to burst and produce the deadly bone spikes though it may have been disturbing it was only prominent enough for the 3 men around her to see.

Today was a day filled with arrogant entrances of interesting people. Nothing more but this mans style was enough to make the young prodigy chuckle. Surely this comical man was there client and he was funny, something complimenting the fear of death. His spidey-senses scar began to tingle, it was as if he had a gut feeling that something was going to happen very bad.

As the man began to insult the squadron that was supposed to be assisting him today brought him to question if this man was mentally stable. Yet he was still entertaining and in missions, the thought of dying or failing always plagued others thoughts and true emotions. Maybe it was right decision to bring the man along.

I couldn't dare claim to possess such capabilities that would enable abnormal senses, counting on the sand around me to be my sixth sense. However, whether this was simply a case of paranoia or a forewarning of what would happen in the future, it was demanded of this team to remain attentive and suspecting at all times, expecting the worst, but hoping for the best. The fragile newspaperman turned in response to the kunoichi's inquiry, his arms sheltering the package further as if to question Vanyl's own motives and alignment in this situation. "Is that suitcase on our protection detail too, sir?" "Hey! This suitcase is none of your concern, little girl! I will protect the suitcase, your job is to protect me, got that?! Now, I don't have time to waste... follow me!" The thought was laughable that I wasn't the only man present suffering from silent hysteria, the abusive words sending the elder on a straightforward strut down the sand's pathway. To confirm that the female shinobi was suppressing any growing irritation, I shrugged and gave an inaudible chuckle that was invisible to the man due to his rear being toward the three of us. With the nameless client sporadically steering off onto his own journey, our mission began at this exact moment: protect the newspaperman at all costs. Given a prompt analysis of how the traveling formation would be, the scholarly intelligence contributed from advancing to the Chuunin title helped me create what would prayerfully be a successful design, and I made it soundly clear to the young male and female. "Alright, the mission starts now. Since our main priority is to be prepared for any possible ambushes in the near future, during our venture to wherever the client is heading, we must assign positions that determine maximum preservation of the client's safety. Since I possess abilities that allow me to ensure the quickest ranged-defense for our squad, I'll remain the closest to the target. Vanyl, as the marksman of the group, remain a few feet in the front and observe every pedestrian, building, and shadow with extreme attentiveness. The arrangement was concrete and tactical, granting each member of the squad to shine if such opposition was ever to arise from out of nowhere. However, the details of the protection order required that we remain within the presence of the elderly for three days, which was quite a coalition of time to remain on-duty, and this simply marked the beginning. Returning to a summary distance from the proceeding client, I left it to the Kaguya siblings to establish their own extension, hoping their positions would at the least be met. The destination of the newspaperman was barefaced to us three commonfolk of the Sand, his direction heading for nowhere except the village's high-end business district, where civilians flooded the streets like ants in their habitat. Vanyl's eyes narrowed after the walking pocket protector had turned and headed away from the group. A few bones slid past her skin making a ridge of bone spikes along her back. Her anger diffused as she saw and heard their squad leader shake his head in amusement. Her bones slowly slid back into her as he started to outline a strategy to defend the man.

She got her role and nodded pulling her bow from her shoulder and moved up to take point ahead of the man. His words still burned her and she intended to get him back no matter what happened she wouldnt help the man with his case even if someone stole it.

Her crimson eyes scanned the streets and allies as they passed looking up at the multiple windows lining the buildings her bones having already pushed out of her right arm creating a protective layer to withstand the snap of the bowstring. She grit her teeth as they entered the business district and her hand moved up to feel the familiar caress of the feathers on her arrows. It would be harder to keep the man safe but her bones seemed ready to burst from her body from the crowd.

Sorry Sage, but with the time running low, waiting several days won't make the cut. The adventure was becoming steadily anticipating, and the attitude of the foul-mouthed senior questioned how long either me or Vanyl could tolerate it. Nonetheless, we had an objective to attend to, and the Sand-Meister and his Kaguyan-archer remained attentive of every single detail that surfaced. The neighborhood the newspaperman lived in was secluded and rather well-fitted for those with bulging pockets, a place I couldn't fathom to live unless I was to obtain the Kazekage title itself. The apartments were littered with curious pupils that wondered what the stubborn elderly had gotten himself into to have Sunagakure shinobi tailing him, but their speculation and imagination would remain just as that. Eventually, time progressed to the point where we had successfully exited the noble living quarters, and not a glimpse of the adversity had shown it's face. Progressively, the blazing Sun rose from it's crevice into the lightening atmosphere, and the amount of civilians that were scattered throughout the streets heightened as well. The business district of the desert village was just beyond the horizon... "Argh! What am I being protected by, snails?! Keep up, you slo--" And like a hawk in the fleeting winds, a winged blade pierced both me and the kunoichi's field of vision and had reached it's target: the unsuspecting newspaperman. Thankfully, the kunai had been flung from such a distance that it's accuracy was pathetic, and barely scratched the cheek of the man, blood thinly pouring from the wound. Frightened and caught off-guard, the senior jumped with the belief that he was already about to come face-to-face with the Shinigami, his trembling body flopping to the ground as he curled into an armadillo's sphere, hoping to protect himself with the futile maneuver. Despite the withdrawing movement appearing to be a wavering flag of surrender to the assailants, it was damn assured that the battle was just beginning. "Vanyl!" The call of her name was resounding enough to inform the kunoichi to be prepared for combat, and with her bow pre-drawn, the assailants only needed to make their appearance. In the midst of the moderately-compact pathway, random civilians began to flee and scream in panic, and from the several openings revealed three definitive beings drenched in pure darkness, their hair and genders being their only discerning qualities. A man with navy-blue hair, standing five meters at the rear of our group, a purple-haired female standing five meters directly in front of the Kaguya's original path, and a mocha-haired brute perched upon a building ten meters away from the senior, nearly six meters high. "This is the end for the old man... step aside, Sand shinobi." "Hahaha, yeah, that's definitely not happening." "Foolish decision, little boy." Nothing, and I meant nothing was going to touch the elderly man a second time as the sand from the environment and the gourd on my back elegantly flowed into my vicinity with a threatening protectiveness, and upon noticing the large amount of earth particles move of it's own accord, the assassins understood there and then that killing the newspaperman wasn't going to happen before killing ME. With the Kaguya archer to handle purple-haired female who stood before her, I peered into the soul of the blue-haired man, the assumed leader, daring them to make the first attack. Without any hesitation, the blue-haired withdrew a blade from his rear as his body thrusted toward me, while the female enemy began weaving handseals right in the face of her opponent, motionless. The fatass on the building? Well, let's just say that he planned on jumping right in, his frame soaring ten meters into the air as he attempted to aim for the shrunken elder. This was a great test....

A great test of patience and humility... -.-

Vanyl was trying hard to be civilized as the man made some not so quiet snide remarks. Her eye continuously scanning their surroundings unhindered by the bright sun due to her deep cloak shielding her vision. As the man started to make a comment about their speed she was about to turn and clock him except a blade soared past and cut the man's face, granted couldn't make it look any worse but eh...

Vanyl spun in a quick tight circle of the fleeing crowd accounting for three enemies in total, one in front one behind and one up top. She heard their leaders voice and nodded as their banter ended, she drew her bow taut with 3 arrows while taking off forwards towards the purplette but upon her second step(covering 3m/s), she would then jump and turn completely around then rapidly growing a multitude of bone spikes from the back half of her body which would disable the woman's hands if not worse (growth at half way through the jump/1/2 a meter from her).

That wasn't all of her tricks though at the same moment she turned shed aim and launch an arrow up at the man who was falling down upon the man. She trusted her leaders ability as Suna's 'Sandman' to protect the client while, if her aim was true, one of her arrows would split into his open palm and proceed to spear through up into his arm and the protruding from the top of his shoulder while the other two were aimed at the man's knee caps to inhibit his movement further.

Noting to himself that he was the least noticed in the group due to the visibility standards and the way the young Kaguya positioned himself. Of course it was all apart of his big plan to take out any that dared to take the rear, his assigned area to protect for the mission. The way everything was precisely done in Yusuke's head as a mock up proved it to be successful.

As they moved through the sandy plains with the man within their defensive triangle. The ideal situation was for any enemy to enter his flank as suggested by his leader. Bloodlust was something he wanted to evade, but it was impossible in the ninja world.

The instant he heard the leader yell, he turned to face the man to check if he was injured. Clarification of the man's current state of health as he was needed to be protected. Noticing the minor cut on his face as it bled meaning somehow the enemy had passed through there defenses. An insult to Yusuke, a young man who couldn't take that, even if it meant death.

Being so attentive to the man he was guarding, another male had passed through his position as well. Irritation plagued his thinking, as his blood boiling at his incompetence. Luckily for the Kaguya prodigy, he still had the element of surprise.

His dominant hand held by his other hand as if it was a gun and his index finger and thumb extended outwards in the fashion of a gun. His reliant Kaguya ability that he loved utilizing within battle. It took less then a second to actually aim it before releasing a dangerous bone bullet, and since he held the element surprise and the distant between them was a little bit less then 6 meters. The bone bullet speedy enough was deadly in the hands of a trained Kaguya.

His hand still prepared and was idle but still kept its form of a gun incase the navy blue-haired man attempted to evade or somehow escaped unscathed.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,420,true] ¤ THE HUMAN SANDSTORM OF SUNAGAKURE! ¤ Three versus three – the Sandman and the bone-manipulating prodigies against a team of mafia assassins with unknown capabilities... despite being completely ignorant of one another's hidden talents, it was definitive that our resolve was immovable. Hysteric screaming and the dispersing of the faceless crowd had fortunately succeeded before the confrontation truly began, and each combatant on the field had a clear view of their targets. I couldn't help but grin blissfully at the sporadic occurance; the realization of spending the next few days under the elder's protection had already come and gone... yet, the fun was just beginning. The secret, criminal organization was quite impatient, and I feared that the early appearance was a forewarning of many more to come, but even so, a challenge was a challenge, and they must be defeated. The female Kaguya and the purple-haired woman; Vanyl, prepared with her main weapon drawn previous to their arrival, was quite the multitasker, and her skills enabled such a plan. Since the distance between her and the female assailant was concise, reaching the opponent required nothing more than a few seconds, and within that time frame she had did just that, rotating her body to surprise the unsuspecting female with a barrage of bone spikes that would protrude from her back like needles on a porcupine... however, she failed to understand that her opponent wasn't the average civilian, and despite her position being stationary during Vanyl's transportation, she was nonetheless deft. One, two, three, four handseals, and just as the bones aimed to impale the woman, they would only come to make contact with another bodily modification... the woman was a natural-born Hozuki. Observing the bones plunge into her liquified composition, the woman was unphased, and simply jumped a few meters back to initiate the performance of her readied handseals. Adhesive substances birthed in her gullet for a mere second until she expelled a wave of liquid starch from her mouth onto the rear of the Kaguya, and with the archer being preoccupied with the falling man, chances of evading the starch was near-impossible. The female assassin flapped her hair back with a bold, arrogant expression as she noted loudly that the kunoichi was trapped, but little did she know about the true strength of the Kaguya... how exactly was Vanyl going to defeat the jelly-woman, even if she were to escape?! Then, there was the male Kaguya and the blue-haired man; Yusuke was at the furthest of our rear and was indebted with defeating any flanks, and the Taijutsu masters were seconds from squaring off. The leader, the blue-haired assailant, luckily didn't possess any special bodily modifications, and his sole expertise was his highly-proficient use of the katana held gracefully in his right hand. I watched as the male Kaguya held his arm in a strange formation, pointing directly at the approaching man as if ready to fire something... and no shit, that was exactly what he did. This was expected from myself, spherical projectiles ejecting from his fingertips like bullets toward the frame of the swordsman, and any normal person would've died right at that moment... that is, any normal person. The blademaster was not the squad leader for no reason, and being an expert at close-range combat, his mind was trained to react faster than what most shinobi couldn't dare claim to perform. The bone bullet was expeditious, but accomplished nothing but grazing the tip of his dancing, navy-blue locks... the teenager's mistake was basically telling the opponent "hey imma shoot u rite nao wit mah finger" with his body movement, and this played greatly in the assailant's favor. As he simply bypassed the projectile with ease, he came into close-proximity of the Kaguya shinobi right before his eyes, a sudden burst of enhanced agility granting the sharpened metal the opportunity to aim and slice directly through his chest, hoping to claim his life with victory... but this teenager couldn't possibly be defeated this conveniently. And lastly, but not least, the descending brute... no one was left to combat the gargantuan male except me and the archer's soaring arrows, which had feeble chances of striking the man due to the aid of gravity on the man's body. However, her recognition as a bowman wasn't entirely disheartening, and while I prepared a fresh batch of handseals for the falling brute, one of the arrows luckily impaled right into his shoulder... but his countenance never showed emotion, his rage fueled with the obsession of killing the elderly male. Leaving the Kaguyans to disable the remaining opponents, upon the completion of the first handseal, an ocean of sand came to form a barrier at the male's target of impact, which was directly on top of the shaken newspaperman. The shield of sand was built with a terminal protectiveness, and once the final handseal was completed, waves of the sentient earth attempted to engulf the man as he stood on the sand barrier, his enlarged muscles effortlessly bunted the structures into the distance with his biceps alone... I had never investigated such raw power... was this the famed talent of the Akusen? I would have to question him about it later, before I tore his crown from the rest of his body. For now, while the brute was busily fighting away the ensnarling substance, another set of fleeting handseals came to me... we had to end this quickly.
