Mission Information: Upon the brim edge of suna there are a various plethora of caverns that hold certain treasures. One of these caverns in particular there is a vault.. which leads down to a tavern. This is said to be a secret passageway that could give the shinobi of suna advantage during times of war. Find this vault, map it, and give it back to the kazekage.

Sunagakure no sato was often known for its oppressive heat, its endless sands, and it’s odd cavern here and their. The same held true for a great deal of the land that was within the domain of kaze no kuni. He was sent on the premises that their would be a certain building, a secretive tavern within which there would be a route of escape in times of war should others come to fail. His task was simply to find it, and then proceed to catalogue it. It was a simple enough task, and he relished in the fact that he would receive a nice reward at the end of it.

He had a pair of trudging boots and a shawl prepared from this mission as he knew that some caves were slippery, the sun not being able to cast hot tendrils of light into making any water that wormed its way in to stay as slick water on the ground. The shawl was to deter and retard the sun beams and gusted up sand that came towards him, he didn’t want to get his clothes dirty over something as trivial as a low ranked mission such as this one.

His journey was already under the way, he thought he was about half way to a small set of caves in front of him due to a few landmarks that his information sheet pointed out. He had a rough idea of his destination from previous travels near it but he would still have to diligently follow the detailed sheet. Getting lost in the desert was most certainly not on his list of things to have become part of his life. He wasn’t a cactus if he got stranded he would need water very quickly, or else bad things would happen.

The ground of the cave was moist, as he had predicted, yet the humidity far exceeded what he was expecting. He had to move his shirt in front of his mouth just to breathe without having the irritating habit of having to swallow and lick his lips twice as often. Dripping water came down from the ceiling, stalagmites and stalactites made menacing teeth and bent the rays of the sun where they reached into intricate and odd shadows before all became black. He pulled a flare from his pocket as he had been told it would be one of the items he would need to search the cave safely. It’s phosphorescent glow casted a red haze over everything in the cave.

His foot stubbed on something, something hard but it gave in a little like moist wood of some sort. He bent over and saw a small iron ring and an odd discolored thing of stone beneath it. He lifted the ring and a rush of warm air hit his face making him blink, he peered in and saw a few kegs big ones at that, this must be the fabled tavern he assumed as much. He then pulled out his map and began cataloging.

He scrawled a bunch of images on his map making sure he put in a legend and a key, for this he had brought two pens one thick and one fine to make sure that his map was the best he could make with what he had and what little patience he could muster. The blank parchment took his ink quickly and kept it with a bit of smudging, it was like the blank scrolls that they had back home in sungakure no sato so he couldn’t really blame them for its quality and they only needed a rudimentary map, if he could find it on his own then they didn’t need much complicated help.

He stuck the pens back in their respective cartridges and rolled the map back up placing it in a plastic case that was water proof and for the most part temperature insulated to make sure the ink didn’t smudge out of heat. Normally that wouldn’t happen in ideal situations but then again with this barren sand heat and the long trek back to his village all sorts of things could of awry and then it would probably be taken out of his paycheck which was something horrible to him.
