The blades of vengeances have fallen swiftly. The shinobi are no more as 'Absolute Justice' has returned...now, it is the Samurai that rule the Five Major Nations!
But at what cost? Have they become the very thing that they despised the most...? Heroes and villains seem to change roles every day, but one thing is for certain - we yearn for our freedom, for days gone by where we flew the skies unhindered.
It was a hot day in sunagakure, like always, I had never really realised how puny my existence was to everyone ,parents dead and my only carers are my uncle and auntie. My Uncles very abusive but I really do not give a shit any more as I've learned to fight for my self but my paper is not enough neither is my lightning, I must develop my own jutsu maybe that'll give me a slightly significant existence hell starting a war might even be an acceptable option but really, I am Xander why do I care about this stuff? Meh I'll just go into a ramen shop or something have some bbq ramen with a soda.
I sat down at the small bar stool inside the ramen shop and asked for some ramen and a soda, "That'll be 300 ryo" the prepubescent boy at the counter said, he looked my age so I handed him some fake ryo that I created, after all I never get any money.
It was a terrible day, as ever it would be, granted the war had taken many of the buildings in the village hidden in sand and desert. Even time wouldn't fix this issue. There too little people to fix the fallen village, so it sat in it's desultory slumber. Silent and still, as the other villages were. War has a way of changing things, thought the laid back girl, as she strolled along toward the ramen shop. It was still up and running. She had been thankful for that these past few weeks. Everything else was gone. Her home, and the academy. The larger buildings and restaurants.
A meal sounded nice to Maki. She calmly strolled into the ramen shop, her hands thrown behind her short, dark hair. her exposed eye scanned the empty bar stolls, only to find one occupied by what looked like another surviving shinobi. He was purchasing ramen with, what she could tell, was fake ryo. She could never be mistaken her true love for an impostor. However she realized that if the ryo could be forged, then it could be forged in large amounts. The twelve year old boy didn't see the difference.
Sliding up to the male shinobi, she smoothly flowed down on the stall right next to him, calling for the boy behind the counter before he took the money and left.
"Hey. Another bowl. He's buying." she spoke, as her thumb pointed the the shinobi with goggles on her left. She then looked and smiled at him.
A Girl sat in the booth next to me I stared at her, She knew something maybe it was I had fake ryo? I disregarded that "Hey. Another bowl. He's buying." said the girl next to me "Yeah I guess I am buying, huh?" I gave more fake ryo to the prepubescent, pimpled boy behind the counter , I then readjusted my goggles "So, tell me about yourself, let's start with the name.Obviously you won't give it to me but meh, I'd like to call you something after all I need to address everyone I meet for some odd reason" I said smoothly, Yeah real fucking Casanova like eh? I thought I may have not been the smoothest thing but it was something.
Maki watched joyfully as her meal for today was being paid for, and not out of her own pocket. The boy whom wouldn't tell between fake bills and real ones took the money and went back to get the orders ready. Maki then decided to rest her elbow on the booth, and planted her hand upon her hand, resting her chin within his palm. Her slender fingers touched on her face, with her middle just slightly under her eye.
Before she could speak the shinobi began speaking, asking for a name. Nothing was unusual about this act. She just found it amusing about the way he worded it. She could see the disdain in his face.
"Oh, you're a cute one," she said with some amusement in her voice, looking him in his orange tinted eyes. "Name's Tatsumaki. Dunno how I got here but I got here." She turned her head forward, looking through the curtains and peering at the back, watching the steam from the cooked noodles searing through. The front was empty and it was just the two. "Guess I should ask the name of the lovely shinobi whom is buying me dinner with his fake bills." Her voice was cloaked through the sound of the boiling water and noodles dropping into the cooking bowls.
"Guess I should ask the name of the lovely shinobi whom is buying me dinner with his fake bills." Tatsumaki said, I looked at her with a small grin "Well Call me, Rose, it's in my name don't worry or call me Xander, whatever works really" I said with a small hint of slyness in my voice "So anyways--" I said but was cut off by some screams and a roar, "Oh shit, it sounds like him...SHUKAKU" I said "Only he could make a noise that loud and a sound that viscous! I've got to stop it, do you want to help Tatsumaki?" I asked, I knew it was a bit out of the blue but it was necessary as it would help my chances of defeating the foul beast known as Shukaku the one tailed Beast " I can fly us to him if that makes it better" I said hastily
"Shukaku, huh?" she said softly. The roar ripped through her ears as well. Even the workers in the back came out to see what had happened, but the older workers knew the sound all too well. It was the first time Maki had heard it. Didn't want to quite believe it however. Being foreign to village she couldn't help but wonder the importance of this Shukaku. Questions flowed through her head. One being why was it happening at this moment.
"Our food hasn't even come yet," she said, lowering her head to the bar. She knew, however, since training and becoming a ninja that she'd be needed for times like this. She debated in her head to go or not. Eventually she caved in.
"Ok fine I'll meet you there " I said I ran and used my Paper Angel jutsu and flew to the place of shukaku.
