Beat that kid [p]

While another bounty mission, the task proved much easier than normal. Partly because it wasn't exactly a life-threatening target... and partly because his target was still a functioning member of society... just one that stirred enough trouble that the grumpy neighbors were getting angry.

And so, Koji found himself walking through broad daylight... and even unarmed. Approaching the victim with swords out wasn't going to make things easier, and it wasn't as if he needed them anyways. His task was simple: beat some sense into the young visionary. It was a bit sad to destroy the dreams of an optimist, or even show him the vision of a realist, but when the safety of citizens were involved... intervention was required.

There was no struggle for a trail, all the suna-nin had to do was say the name, and the populace would all look in the same direction. Deeper and deeper he traveled into the heart of the city, and as he did, he grew more anxious. How big was the kid? How much of a problem was he? Hardly did people have kind words to mention. It usually was a complaint about property damage, and so on and so forth.

Eventually the obvious trail would come to an end. Koji faced a giant circle of ruckus, and amidst the people, there was an obnoxious yelling that definitely indicated a disillusioned shinobi. It was time to get to work...

Gently the bounty hunter would push his way through the growing crowd, progressing towards the open center. Once the opening was in sight, he watched the events take place. Two kids, one boasting a ridiculous assortment of colors were brawling. Despite the clown-attire, the shinobi was pretty good. The other kid would swing with precision, and the clown would easily side-step, or parry every blow. After a few strikes, one elbow to the sternum would stop the fight, as the opponent fell to the floor clasping. The clown cried in victory, shouting out, "PEOPLE PLACE YOUR TRUST IN ME!"

Some of the crowd offered cheers of excitement, while others brushed off the event, thinking it was utter foolishness, and not worth their time. At that time, Koji found it the prime time to enter the arena. He wore light robes, his chest exposed, and bandaged partly, and fists clenched. With a cocky tone, he called out to the mischief-maker, "Good fight. But defeating him hardly proves any skill."

The red-head paused, his bright clothes fluttering in the wind, and silence enchanting the crowd. With an angered expression he yelled out, "You oppose my destiny as well? THEN BRING IT!"

There was no wasted time, as suddenly the ninja shot forward with momentum, fist raised sloppily. Open, and clumsy, stupid move. As the kid brought his arm back to swing, Koji stepped in to avoid the natural reach, and with a strong shoulder, he knocked back the genin, sending him staggering back a few feet and gasping for air.

Caught in the moment of looking cool, Koji continued to taunt and humiliate his opponent with further words, "As it's looking now, maybe I should just be Kage?" And that made the boy go crazy.

The kid rose, anger seeping from his pores, and once again he charged, this time in a flurry of kicks. Dodges were the only thing Koji did, bored by the situation. He was competent to an extent, but he let his emotions do the fighting... raw power, and no technicalities. Kojiro was definitely no mass of muscle, but he knew where and how to strike. Unfortunately, luck did play some part of this, and that would be relevant to the fist that nicked his shoulder, and was followed up by another fist to the face, and a kick into the chest.

Kojiro fell to the floor, and silence took the crowd once more. The boy looked triumphant, but it was an early victory. The bounty-hunter rose up once more, and this time with furious eyes. With a spit, saliva mixed with blood fell onto the hot sand. No more games.

This time Koji initiated, bringing a feint kick to the left. The rowdy kid attempted to block the non-existent kick, and only met a strong right hook. He staggered back, stunned by the impact. A left straight would connect with his nose, and as he started to step back, Koji would continue to throw heavy fists in all directions. The chest, the jaw, the temple, the ribs, the kidney; nothing was safe. He did restrict his power to some extent, but it still did damage, and at the end of it, there was a disheveled mess on the floor in front of Koji.

With a confident and disappointed voice, he lectured the young kid, "Nothing wrong with having dreams, but if you are attempting to lead others to your visions, make sure you have the power to carry their weight. This whole village, right now, is victim to the war. People are seeking a time of peace, and here you are trying to start more battles. I'm glad it's kids like you that will be running the village someday!" With that, he stormed back out, leaving the kid stunned, and unsure of his own power amongst the shinobi.

Beat sense into a kid? Check.
