Now for some searching. He would either have to find the location of Iwagakure, or find a roaming Iwa nin to grab a hold of. Either way, he would also have to confirm that the nin is a Chounin. "These days missions are growing more and more troublesome, for less and less reward." A simple sigh would settle for a response to himself to quit whining and get things over with. Looking around, the terrain was quite different from his home in Kirigakure. It was so dry here. He would for sure have to rely on his Taijutsu knowledge if something were to arise quickly. That or introduce Tsuchi No Kuni to snow. Walking along, Kumori noticed that everywhere really looked the same. If he weren't careful, these mountains could cause him to get lost. That would be annoying indeed!

A long journey we had taken across the country of Kirigakure, I couldn't really tell it was worth it. I didn't even understand why they were sending a Genin to kill a stone nin, I couldn't exactly put my finger on it but I wouldn't ponder on the topic to long. As we arrived at something that looked like a grand canyon, it wasn't something that amazed me it was more of something that annoyed me. I couldn't believe I traveled all this way for a C rank missions, i'd look to the left looking at the genin that had assigned to do the mission.

"I hope you aren't scared to fight, because this most likely won't be a walk in the park."

Why had they sent a Chounin with him anyway? Did they not trust him to handle taking out a simple Iwa-nin? Either way, he was not exactly pleased with the situation. "I am not sure why you are here Chounin, but you would do best tending to yourself. I am quite capable." His words honestly came out sharper than they should. It most likely was not this guy's fault he was here, hell, he seemed to be as agitated by the situation as Kumori found himself. Perhaps he should say something else, if he did find himself in an rather unfortunate situation, he honestly would rather have this guy with him than against him. His words more cordial this time than the last, he figured he would have a better chance if things were to go awry. He would continue walking forward, though these mountains were ridiculously formed like a maze. For all he knew, they were this way on purpose and they were walking into a trap. As boy spoke I listened as we walked along the dry ass canyon, the boy seemed to carry a bit of confidence behind him telling me to look out for my self. A small laugh would erupt from my figure because it had seemed the boy still didn't get the concept of team work, it was something that was beginning to become foreign in the hidden mist. Which was proven the more the boy talked I could take so much before I had to say something.

"How old are you? 17 right? and you're still a Genin. Maybe the reason you haven't been promoted is because you don't work well with others, Ninja get more shit accomplished when we work together covering each others weakness. So without a team you leave you blind spots wide open, something that could lead to your own death. Kumori Honestly I was sent here to make sure you don't die, You don't have to act all big and bad around me because I honestly don't give a fuck about your ego. but with all that said let's get on with this mission."

I would finish off my statement as I removed my head banned from around my neck placing it into my bag, it had seemed as if we were getting deeper into the country of Tusuchi so it'd only made sense to take the headband off. I would of course replace it with my own mask, now my entire person was ready
for war.

The mountains were his home...truly. For they had so many nooks and such for one to delve into, small caves offered room for housing and such...It was wonderful! Grinning though as he made his way through a certain path, he'd glance to his left, Maximilian was there. They weren't exactly on a mission, but more so they were doing this for themselves. War was on the horizon and no one could be trusted, each land had been compromised in one way or another and if they hadn't they ran the risk of being so. As such it was up to the respective shinobi to keep up on things, even if it was like searching for a kunai in a haystack. Popping his neck to the side he'd glance once more to Max, they hadn't spoken since they left the village, and as they ascended a rather steep hill Gungnir chose to break the silence, pausing in his tracks entirely about half way up he spoke.

"Tsch, think we'll find anything or anyone ol' Maxie?!" Grinning a bit he offered a glance to Alenka who had tagged along his right side the entire trip.

"Find someone? Shit. Only psychos and enemy Shinobi would be walking through this wasteland." Maximilian crossed his arms in front of his chest, and gave his ally, Gungnir, a sort of smile, the kind where he wasn't too sure of whether his answer was really truth, or if he should be kidding. They decided to scout out the land a while back at the village, check out the land, and should they meet someone, ascertain the nature of their business in the Earth Country.

He threw his hands to his side, feeling them brush against the bags he kept under his cloak - which hid his headband and all - feeling the goods inside them as they contained everything he had in case of a fight. He rolled his shoulders, glancing back at Alenka, who simply followed the two, then back to Gungnir, and back up to the top of the hill, which they were quickly approaching. Somewhere, barely off in the distance, the wind carried the voices of someone. Or someones.

"-et's get on with this mission."

"Shh. You hear that?" Maximilian paused for a bit, hearing the last bit of words that met his ears disappear into the rock around them, and he crept down, moving up to the top of the hill, and stealthily poked just enough of his head to view the surrounding area, the hood that he had pulled over his head the same color as the rocks around them, letting him blend in with the earth they were on. Quietly, he whispered,"Fuck. Who would be walking in this shit of a place?" Barely twenty meters away and approaching were two strangers.

For now he had to stay focused, and he was going to have to work with this Chounin if he wanted to complete his mission. "I am Kumori. If not for anything else, we will have to work together and get along for the sake of this mission. As such, I will get along with you. Though it is my mission, you are also my senior and you are in charge, so for the sake of a good report I will also do as you say. Fair enough?" Not exactly what he wanted to do, but this is what he knew he needed to do and his words would reflect his maturity even if his earlier ones did the opposite. "So how long have you been a chounin? Were the exams difficult? I've never tried to take them as I've never really been concerned with a title. But now that you mention it, perhaps it is indeed time for me to let my rank reflect my age and start being serious with my life. Are their lots of benefits to becoming one?" He was attempting to make conversation, as this would serve multiple purposes. First, he would learn from his senior and grow from anything useful he would take in. Second, if things went well, he might even end up in a cell with this guy, and that would require peaceful teamwork as well. This really was in his best interest even if he did not enjoy it. As they continued to walk, he would stop for a moment and pat his cloak down. Upon continuing their pace he would walk with confidence knowing he was well equipped. It had seemed the boy had taken my words to heart, In fact he might have let it cloud his mind just a little to mind. He would continue to talk a little while I would hear the slight sound of someones voice, it couldn't be more than 22 meters away I couldn't exactly locate the origin of the sound but I knew it was in front of me. I wasn't too sure of it's exact location but I was sure it was in front of me, my eyes would quickly began to change under my mask the Genin would continue to talk as we walked.

"You didn't hear that?"

I would look towards the origin of the sound using my eyes It wouldn't take much for me to separate the people from the rocks, it had seemed we had a bit of company on our hands. But I wasn't sure what there intentions were, because if there's were similar to ours we were in for quite a dual. I wouldn't make to many sudden moves as we continued to move towards the center of the canyon, my mind was of course in a hostile mind set because we were in hostile territory. I could continue to listen to the genin talk as my eyes remained on the origin of the sound, hopefully I hadn't approached this situation the wrong way.

His words came as he turned around and headed back to Kirigakure.

Narrowing his brows as he mimicked Maximilian and peeked over the ledge of the hill, he'd watch the two incoming individuals. Though clearly unseen and perhaps unheard, the two down below never sent even a slight glance towards them, yet, they did how ever turn on their heels and run away. Grinning, Gungnir shot up from his position and boasted at the fleeing punks. "That's right, and don't come back ya' filthy fucking rats!" Dropping back down the hill, he'd begin to take their trek elsewhere as he spoke to Max without even looking at him.

"Tsch, well that was entertaining."

"The fuck!?" Maximilian popped his head out of the hiding spot as he saw them hightail it out of the area, moving rapidly away from where Max and his ally were standing at the hill. He grumbled to himself, crossing his arms over his chest, as he watched the two possible enemy individuals run off into the distance, eventually disappearing.

With a disappointed sigh, the blonde shrugged to Gungnir, nodding a bit as he turned around and faced the direction of the village. Maybe it was them, maybe the other two had seen Max poke his head out, and he could have scared them off. Whatever it was, they're gone now, and the three were free to go as they please. Maximilian made out to head for his village. "We can't be that scary..."
