Kumojin started this mission for many reason. He wanted to help the village by getting money to donate, he wanted practice, and he wanted to find out what has happened to the children that have been disappearing recently, and he wanted to stop whatever was causing it. This mission wasn’t meant to be done in the village, or even anywhere near it. It was also better to do this mission during the day. A night time raid on a wolf’s den was stupid to say the best. They had better senses than almost all people. The only time you could really get a surprise on them was when the wind was blowing towards you and the wolf was clearly visible. The reports detailed a gray wolf, which was difficult to see in the day or night, but at night it would be a much tougher challenge.
The trek started at the beginning of the problem. Kumojin went around the village, interviewing the people who had based the wolf on the bypasses, checking for anything that was out of place. For the most part, the wolf seemed rather passive. Lately, according to the scroll, many kids have gone missing around the playground. This mission wasn’t to kill the wolf, but that might very well be the outcome if Kumojin’s thoughts were true. A passive wolf suddenly needing more food and a few kids going missing led to one conclusion in Kumojin’s head. It was having a liter. This meant that, though it would be passive since it needed someone to collect food for the pups, it would take easy prey like children without a second thought.
