"Hot, hot sun, I hate the most. Hot, hot sun is really gross." He sing-songed with frustration under the intense heat of the glowing yellow ball up in the clear blue sky. Currently, he was almost literally in the middle of fucking nowhere. Parched desert sprawled out before him, littered with sand stones and granite rock of all shapes and sizes. The horizon was clear of any civilization, the landscape occasionally coming alive with the movement of small lizards scurrying about. Sweat dripped down his brow, and he took off his glove to wipe it away with the back of his hand in response. Such a dirty gesture, such an unrefined way of going about things. But he was desperate, and there was no one around anyway. And while he knew that was no excuse for his action, the heat was currently baking his brain and pissing him off a great deal.
He was here to find the gates to Iwagakure, and he would not leave until he did so. But where could he start? Everywhere he looked, all he saw was desert and rock. Shrubs lined what used to be a very popular path, but was now slowly receding back into nature with its neglect. Compared to Kaminari no Kuni, Atlas found Tsuchi no Kuni to be an ugly and boring place. The weather made him uncomfortable, the scenery was bland and unexciting. The wildlife equally as so. He wasn't just searching for the gates to Iwagakure now. He was also searching for any form of life here, any form of entertainment he could garner from this land and its people. Surely, there had to be something. So much space here... it would be a shame if it went to waste. Rolling up his sleeves and unbuttoning his jacket, he allowed what little breeze swept past to refresh his body. It worked, a little bit.
The kage bunshin shifted on his feet with the restlessness he felt. He needed some shade, this sun was pissing him off with its damn, unrelenting rays! Kicking a small rock into the distance afar, he spit a huge loogie on one of the rocks and grumbled. Time to walk and search for this damn gate. In what direction, he didn't know. How long it would take, he was unsure. But he had to keep himself moving, to find some way to escape this heat and later leave this barren land once and for all. Currently, he was only here for business. He couldn't imagine anyone coming here for vacation, and he was quite surprised there were people living here still. This place was a rocky hell, a place where old people went to die, surely.
So he began walking, a brisk and frustrated pace towards nowhere. His emerald green eyes darted left and right, his senses peaked as he tried to ignore the blistering heat. When he saw something that indicated some sign of civilization, some sign that he was close to something, he would jump on it and go on from there. But for now, he had to keep on searching and walking. As his walk sped up, he found it took his mind off the heat quite well for the time being. The bright blue sky above became less annoying to his eyes, but the sun was still rampant with its hot fury. Hopefully, it would dim down as the night came around. Hopefully the air would grow cooler, like the climate in his home country. Then his mind would be at ease!
