Destruction: Crashing the Chuunin Exams! [3]

Within a flicker of a moment Satomi was were he wanted to be, or that is what he thought. With a shushin movement Satomi had positioned himself up above his target hoping to launch an aerial assault, however, to his distress it seemed as though his enemies had seen it coming, even accounting for his actions. As quickly as Satomi had moved and positioned himself his enemy had done the same, impressive. It was open, and with no reason to doubt, that he was dealing with two formidable enemies. Angled in the air above the moving targets they had changed their direction without a moments notice as one of them signaled to the other Satomi's location allowing him to react with impeccable timing. Who were these two strange Kiri men?

Satomi was indeed dealing with some high-class ninja and an echo of self-help could not be cloud as his confidence wavered slightly at their presence. It wasn't the fact that they were both strong ninja, it was their teamwork and co-operation that scared him the most. How could the man have noticed his movements so quickly? for someone to 'see' a shushin movement they would have to possess a powerful doujutsu. Riddling the thought Satomi came to the conclusion that he must be a sensor, a powerful one at that. It was one thing to sense one's chakra, but to track it over split-second chakra enhanced movements was something else. In mid air and vulnerable to his opponents who are now immediately aware of his presence Satomi had to change up his game plan. As gravity took its toll his decent to the ground below was coming and he would lose whatever advantage he sort to gain, he had to think fast.

With that thought Satomi let out a slight gasp shit! as the enemy in response had completed his handseals and launched his own attack. In Satomi's immediate direction a web of thick, and what seemed like sticky, liquid was shot in his direction. Not only that but the enemy was charging toward to finish things of. Seeing in the air they sort him as vulnerable using a mid-range ninjutsu to immobolise him to finish him off once rendered without movement, intelligent. As Satomi gathered to oraganise a counter-attack to the sticky liquid the other man fronted by throwing a kunai with explosive tag's attached. With a barrage of attacked all aimed at Satomi it would seem as though he was helpless as the enemies launched themselves forward into the air to finish things off.

But Satomi would not go down so easily. Medical-nin are trained to stay out of trouble and avoid getting damaged at all costs. He had provisions and technique's which allowed him to do so, allowing him to get to the injured if necessary while bypassing enemy onslaught. These tactics would come in handy in this situation. Stretching his legs and arms out wide to his sides the white-haired genin would then pull each arm and leg inward with force making the sides of his feet and hands collide with chakra-infused strength. What would this achieve? well, to a normal ninja not much in particular. But, for a ninja possessing the unique shouin-style medical chakra it would cause a powerful rippling shockwave in a radius around Satomi. The sticky water-like substance which spread in a web direction towards him would be blasted a part dissipating in spontaneous direction, only leaving slight remnants of its 'goo' over Satomi. Not nearly enough to hinder any movement only a slight annoyance to his dry-cleaner.

As the technique would scatter in spontaneous direction so would the tagged kunai which was thrown in his direction to meet in conjunction with the other technique used, easily being repelled by the shockwave which would spread 1 meter around the young genin's position. What seemed to be in the enemies favor was now suddenly turning as the kunai, repelled from the shockwave blast of chakra, would be seen reverting in its direction. The direction from which it came towards its user. But, seeing as the enemy followed up their attack leaping in the air they themselves had become vulnerable to their own technique as the power of two explosive tag's in that close of a vicinity would surely have a blast radius which would more than compensate for the enemies position. They themselves would be subject to damage by their own attack with severe burns and perhaps even lost limbs. But, not even Satomi was clear of the blast yet. Why the enemy used dual tag's and then leap towards their attack he would never know but as gravity insisted he would make his way further to the ground below. As he attempted to touch the ground Satomi would instantly propel off of one leg leaping backward 4 to 5 meters to try and distance himself from the blast radius.

Deflects projectiles one rank less than the user's highest known 'Chakra no Ikou' rank. Shockwave extends half a meter away from the user in all directions, plus half a meter more each time retrained.
Description:This is a simple technique, in which the practitioner of Souin smashes their hands (or even feet--any appendages) together infused with chakra. Upon impact, the force between both blows creates a spherical shock wave which rockets out from the user.

If medical shinobi were trained in the method of keeping themselves out of trouble, the boy before them had done a piss-poor job at doing it. The plan he'd intended to execute had multiple flaws beginning with the fact that he'd put himself in a horrendous position by jumping into the air, which had inevitably sealed his fate.

[/b] The "shockwave" he'd attempted to use would be futile against the adhesive properties of the chakra-infused syrup. While capable of blowing away potent projectiles, this was simply too durable (c x 5, which is more chakra than your technique). Simply put? His shockwave wouldn't even hinder the process.

2. With his only plausible, albeit very sketchy defense eliminated, this left him with only a single option: take the hit. The wave of invisible force that rippled from his body would've, for lack of a better word, been eaten by the syrup field; it wouldn't have even reached the kunai, being snuffed out by the adhesive material binding his body into the "ball" he'd willingly formed in an attempt to unleash his jutsu.

3. Being that escaping syrup was out of the question, this also meant that avoiding the tagged kunai was also unfeasible. However, with the previous explanation, the demon-twins would be perfectly safe from the double-tagged explosion that tore their opponent to pieces.[/ul]
Thankfully, it'd all be over before the boy had a chance to feel any sort've pain. Considering he'd put his full faith in his rather pointless shockwave - which was rendered useless, in hindsight - there wasn't anything else he possibly could've done in the allotted time. The very fact the boy's technique actually came to fruition, despite having no effect, only solidified the fact he would undoubtedly be captured by the field and suffer the full effect of the kunai and subsequent explosion.

Clarification: Mizu Nabara is a Mid-level chakra cost. In order to break the syrup, or even hinder it, you have to exert a chakra cost (i.e force) equal to the double total chakra cost of all the times retrained. Considering this have x5 to your x1, your shockwave wouldn't even hinder it as I've said. The technique can be found here, if you'd like to read.

Isshin had appeared upon the battlefield!

The young shinobi had escaped from his classroom, looking for away out of the building, being lost at first, but finally finding his way out after following the Uchiha. Though, the young boy had gotten side-tracked when he had discovered some bitches that needed saving, and went to help them, letting the Uchiha run off on his own to the danger that was outside. Once he had saved a few people, he figured that he had might as well help the rest. All the destruction that was going on in the vicinity had caused great tremors, and causing the earthen building that was the school to crumble down in certain area's. He stood still, then focused his chakra, activating his Kagura's Mind Eye ability, allowing him to sense out all of the other chakras, who were the Genin that had gotten trapped within the school.

He went to free all of them, with the help of the other students, before making his way outside where a battle would be brewing between the Konoha-nin and some other shinobi's. He didn't know what was going on, but he also didn't want to take a chance at getting noticed so quickly before he discovered what was going on. With his ability still activated, he was able to see people and their chakras, being able to tell his fellow ninja apart from the rest of the others. He had crept around the sidelines of the battlefield they had created, using the shadows to hide himself, like any other good shinobi would. He tried to get as close as he could to the Uchiha or Ue. Though, they were all cut off by an unknown shinobi to him. He began to travel toward them, though they were probably about 20 meters away from him. ("Bit! Ue! I'm on my way!")

It would have been foolish of Ue to have believed that he would be able to fight, let alone defend himself with a minor wound he received the the kunai. Granted, it would have been far worse had the tag itself not been detonated, nevertheless he was incapable of combat. And just as that third Kirigakure shinobi stepped forth, all hope of escaping sunk down to the pit of his own stomach. Shit just got real as some would say. A large swallow slid down his throat as his calculative mind was hard at work, attempting to concoct an escape route for not only himself but for Bit as well. But one thing was wrong. . .

There was no none.

Bit was already injured critically, and Ue himself knew he wouldn't be in any better of a condition if he continued to move about with the leg wound he received. There was only one solution to this - one of them had to go, and given that Ue was the only able bodied shinobi of the two, his counterpart would have to bite the dusk. Bit was a close friend indeed, however, Ue would not throw his own life away for anyone other than his late Master Genryu Uchiha who, well, is already dead. Nonetheless, preceeding this kiri-nin's speech, he pulled Bit down from his shoulder's while clandestinely slipping his left hand into his packs and activating his smoke bombs before throwing his body forward about 5 meters. The smoke began to fizzle as it billowed into the air as a gray cloud of obscurity in a 10 meter radius.

Not even a second later had Ue utilized his fastest escape art within his arsenal. In an instant the earth itself swallowed him whole, sending him 5 meters below the earths surface. Wasting not even another second had he dug through the essence of mother earth to his own right, speeding beneath buildings and Bakudon's fiery settlement, untraceable and safe. It may have been cruel for Ue to did what he did, but it had to be done, what other option did he have, die as well?! He'd been a fool to continue fighting. This war was a eyeopener, he needed to obtain absolute power were he to have some kind of influence upon the world. Until then, all he could do is head home, recover, and regather his strength.

Being that his left hand was already extended, the shinobi's escape attempt would quickly be put to waste. With his hand activating the smoke grenade from within the confines of his pack, and his body being "thrown" forward five meters, he would have neither the wit nor the time to react. The fact that he moved ever closer to Kaito would prove that to be true.

Nonetheless, a thin steel projectile would slide out from the underside of Kaito's wrist, coiled in a thin white parchment. The launched senbon, moving much faster than normal, would penetrate the airborne shinobi as he leaped forth. And as his hands began to adjoin, an explosion would sound from his chest; fragments of flesh and muscle cast in every direction. The smoke, still bellowing out from within his pack, would have began to take its affect. Though at this point, the kiri shinobi would have reached the corpse—retrieving any salvageable items.

Continuing on to his unconscious comrade, Kaito would waste no time; his eyes had seen the man approaching from the distance, and there was none to waste. His large sword, or rather, slab of steel, beheaded the uchiha in one fell swoop. And after clenching the head by it's mane, the shinobi would take his leave, using the veil of smoke to obscure his direction. A simple shunpo would carry him—ten meters further—from the slain warriors' inbound comrade. And with an advantage of speed and distance, Kaito would flee the scene, carrying out the villages destruction else where. exit.

Before he could even reach his comrades, they were gone. One of them had fled from the scene, though he had given the young boy the same idea. He had sacrificed his Uchiha friend for his escape, it was unhonorable to say the least. By the time the enemy would fire at the Uchiha with his weaponry, he had came to his stop in the advancement. Being still someways away. When he had seen the Uchiha explode, he turned around and flickered away in a burst of speed, leaving the area. While the enemy pursued Bit's weapon, it gave him ample time to escape. With his Kagura technique still activated, he followed Ue's chakra signature, escaping the battlefield. He was saddened by the death of his comrade and the unhonorable decision Ue made. He would have to report this to the Kage. The single hand seal he made allowed him to be free.

While your means of escaping the syrup would have worked in some cases Vega, the amount of chakra needed to break Genbu's technique is roughly equivalent to that of 10 C-ranks stacked. Even with the basis of your technique revolving around your S-rank Sounin, it isn't enough - coupled with your technique (2x Crank) - to burst free from the substance like you did.

Hypothetically speaking, even if your strength was enough to break through the syrup, you would have to sacrifice roughly a S-rank amount of chakra to do so. Seeing how you don't have a chakra reduction mastery in the art and still have a Low pool, that alone would be enough to kill you outright. Technically, you shouldn't be able to even give a B-rank amount of chakra - let alone Cx10 - without being completely drained.

Due to all this, you're escape isn't sufficient to break through the syrup. As that was your only defense towards the exploding tags, you're now essentially forced to take the brunt of the damage. Basically, you're dead.

Also, though this has nothing to do with the battle itself, you shouldn't have the S-rank version of the technique in the first place. I double checked (As your EXP for Sounin doesn't add up correctly in your profile) and you only paid 325 EXP for the technique. D + C + B + A + S = 625 EXP. 325 EXP =/= 625 EXP.

Narrative

With no others capable of fighting off the invading Kirigakure forces, the district was simply ravaged and all but destroyed. Those that managed to survive escaped to a camp several miles out, where the wounded and homeless were being tended to.
