"If you really want her to listen to you now, in the moment you're going to have to speak from the heart even if your heart is in pain and a bit of a dick." The young man looked perplexed at the ninja's notion, his words didn't do much prove different.

"I don't think I understand."

"I mean if you're in pain and she caused that you'll have to show her that, she won't care enough to see it on her own. You have to tell her how you feel with a reckless abandon that nice guys like you generally don't have." He seemed a bit offended about being labeled a 'nice guy' but in the end he hung his head in defeat knowing that it was true. Sen gave him a slap on the shoulder as comfort. "I'm only speaking from experience." He went on. "Even if it means you losing her and not getting what you want, you have to make her listen and you have to show her how you feel. Love is, at all time a battlefield and a breakup is the most dangerous time because allies become bitter enemies and sometimes they never return to being allies again. Think about it. As it stands now she'll never want to speak to you again and it's only a matter of time until she finds someone else, even if she doesn't mean to. This could be your last moment to tell her the truth. So if she never speaks to you again because of what was said here tonight you've got nothing to lose because again, right now she'll probably never speak to you again."

"Y-You're right. I don't have a choice. Better or worse I'll have to be a little rude this time."

As the young man sat and made peace with his decision and deciding how and what he was going to say exactly the genin went about setting up for the next part of the crafting process. He turned out to be right about the inclusion of more bees to speed up the enzyme gathering part of it all. The cap came off from the container and they all took off at once. It was probably a reaction to them being so densely packed together in the container. He set up the heating coil and the pot used earlier in which he placed the two root and covered with the stone bowl to allow harder and faster boiling. The next phase he would iron out now while waiting for the root to boil was the mixing of the various powders and the vials that contained the stimulants and the vitamins the final form of the pill would need.

"Thank you for your help Sen-san"

"I can hear the confidence in your voice. Are you ready?"

"She has to know, even if it ruins my chances for later she has to know... and she has to know tonight. No matter what happens once I step in there, consider you're mission here done. Thanks again for the advice.

As the root boiled Ed began to walk to her door he gave three loud knocks caused the woman to call out right away. He gave her fair warning that he would kick the door down in need be. He stressed that he didn't want to hurt her and he wasn't going to but after all the time they spent together she owed him a proper explanation of why she broke things off with him. She obliged and let him in, all the while Sen sat just outside on a bench rigorously grinding up seeds and vitamins to mix in with the powders and stimulants. He wasn't sure how things would turn out but he hoped for Ed's sake the man got to at least tell the girl how he felt. For a while all was silent and only the occasion yell or outburst was loud enough for him to hear. He had to believe everything had gone smoothly since he'd been outside long enough for the roots in the pot to finish boiling and then taking on water. His mind moved on auto pilot holding the 2 wet lumps of root swollen with water intake over the bowl holding together his mixtures of crushed seeds and vitamins, powders and stimulants. All of them mixed together forming more and more of an amalgamation until they were just a mound of dough in his hands being kneaded and rolled into a ball before being kneaded and rolled into a ball again.

He stopped from his crafting long enough to sit and wonder if it would be okay for him to lay out the heating coil once again along with the stone bowl and the cooking tray in order to bake the dough, then most likely apply the sugar coating and let it bake again to harden, then proceed to his last mission and focus on that one before calling it a night. He would of course get the answer to his question indirectly as the woman's door flew open and Edgar Ellen flew past Sen with a speed he didn't think the other young man was capable of. It wasn't shinobi but it was faster than the average human speed. Ed moved by fast indeed, but than again he didn't move by fast enough to keep the genin from making out that Ed was in tears as he passed by.

That alone wouldn't be enough to say whether or not Ed got to speak his peace but it most likely meant they weren't getting back together. The red eyed youton user cut his gaze to the door to the see the girl closing the door behind Ed, her head hung down lower than his and he was the one who apparently heard the bad news. But there was a look in her eyes Ed hadn't displayed all night. Shame. Perhaps she had already replaced her ex and was only now coming clean about it. There was no telling, the only two things he knew for certain was that his mission here was finished and he was going to move on to the final one before the air got even more awkward around there. Packing up his things he moved on to the last mission of the night. He wasn't sure if he would ever see Ed or the girl again but he wished them both the best of luck in romance, most of the luck he wished went towards Ed since the girl was not in tears as she closed her door. "Last call" he exclaimed looking at the only remaining mission ticket and how it required him to pay a late night visit to a place he hated more than anywhere in Iwagakure off the top of his head; the Hospital.

They didn’t haul it off in a truck, instead, they just allowed it all to sit there beside the hospital. Who’s job is this anyway!?

Even with all that had transpired in this short night the genin felt good about what he had so far accomplished; he'd gotten a drunk off the kage's lawn, inspired some kids to go home and tell the truth to their parents so they could be punished, helped a man get apparently crushed by his ex-girlfriend and cleaned gutters for a landlord. It all sounded much better in his head. In the end though no matter how unsavory the missions were he completed them one and the same. The last one was easy enough and it made for a very pleasing opportunity, he could have the clones to all the work while he put the finishing touched on the soldier pill. The ball of dough was still in his hands, it had been kneaded at least one hundred times by the time they arrived at the hospital. Throwing the dough ball in the air the genin's hands ripped through the motions of headseals needed before expelling his chakra in exchange for another group of four doppelgangers. In truth he didn't need to speak to them for them to know what their jobs were but he liked the sound of his own voice and he liked ordering his clones around leisurely, though he couldn't quite get why. "You guys work on the garbage I'll finish up the Hyourougan. Separate everything into two groups, handheld and bigger. Stick the handheld stuff in your legs so the lava will melt it, the bigger stuff you'll just melt upon dispersal." With but a thought all the clones were put on high alert and ordered to work together to catch the dough ball falling from the sky. His mental thoughts were just as fun to issue as his audible ones and he grinned wide and deep when one of the clone's arm reaching into his field of view and handed him the soon to be Hyourougan.

Alright, enough with the gawking, gentlemen. Let's get to work Once the suggestion escaped the lips of the original it became law to the remaining clones. They would start by taking the biggest pieces of garbage and mounting them in a new pile along the southern edge of the building. The smaller handheld things were tossed in a pile and very carefully saved for the fourth clone who was designated with the job of basically impaling itself with syringes, cotton balls, old gowns and god knows what else. Even with the four of him going at it like a unit he still guessed it would be some time before they were all finished, the garbage was all gone and he could call it night. Things were made a little easier by the fact that his youton jutsu could just melt the jutsu here into ash and the lava would just smooth itself over the rocky ground under their feet. He didn't have to move anything, just burn it all and do so very thoroughly. The clatter of moving objects being tossed casually on top of other recently moved objects would echo in the back ground of the genin's mind for sometime as he returned to the main event of tonight's focus.

The dough ball was ready for the next step in it's crafting process that would make it a dough ball no longer. The heating coil came out first and Sen turned it up to a setting that was hot enough to rid the dough ball of the air inside it but not so hot the ball caught fire or exploded. It was a fire on the lower end of the high level fires. Next the cooking sheet on which he would lay the ball came to rest on top of the heating coil, like the temperature of the fire, the cooking sheet would allow the dough ball to cook but not burn. Finally the stone bowl which he would lay over the cooking sheet and heating coil to contain and reuse all the fire and heat released by the heating coil. Thus, speeding up the process in which the pill baked and was ready for it's final treatment. For the moment, while the pill baked he had nothing to do so he began to help the others move garbage and supervise.

The annoying think about repetition was that it lacked variety. Doing the same thing over and over most likely meant little to no variation between runs. This was almost never a deal breaker though because people only indulged in heavy repitition for two reasons. One was that they had no choice and were being forced to do something against their will so the unpleasantness over a lack of variety wouldn't bother them as much as having to do any of it in the first place. The second reason was that they liked it. Who the hell even needed variety when you were doing something you loved? However, Sen was neither being held against his will nor doing something he loved. He was simply out here with clones, watching them sort hospital materials in pile and one of whom would occasionally lunge something inside of itself. It was a tough job because it was horribly boring. He couldn't readily help out because he didn't want to get pricked by a dirty needle and get a virus or disease. He had clones for this sort of thing so he opted to make good use out of them. To speed things up he even went about making two more youton clones to help move things along that much faster. He very rarely faced a situation where he needed six youton clones but it was better to just do it and get it out of the way since after this mission he would be heading home and sleeping to recharge his batteries. No, need to hold back on account of worry about running out of chakra.

His eyes cut back to the stone bowl on the ground and the doughy ball inside it being heated to remove the air inside it. The dough becoming harder and the ball becoming, well more of a ball. There would be one last important step before the whole process was finished but was a small task and more important than small, it was the last task before he could say he was finished for the night and going 'off duty'. We're almost done with the garbage here and I'm almost done with the pill too. Tonight would be love if everything could just wrap up at the same time. In his helping them and supervising he'd forgotten how much time had passed since he left the pill to bake and started helping the clones.

Flipping over the stone bowl the genin saw that he was right on time to perform the last step of the crafting process on the now hardened pill. From his backpack came the trusty container that housed the blue gel that would coat and spruce up the taste of the Hyourougan and also make it an officially finished and sell-able commodity. He dropped the ball in the blue solution and readied a new pair of chopsticks to take them out with before turning and addressing the clones who were working diligently with little to no mental complaints. "Alright ladies listen up. The garbage is more or less taken care of now so I'd like all six to line up in a circle and disperse coating this section in the combined circumference of the lava from your bodies." Following his orders the six of them did as told and dispersed, each of them spewing lava in their wake with a radius of five meters. Together what they left behind was more than enough to melt all the garbage and debris the person in charge here left behind. There would be no way in hell to repair Iwagakure if everyone just took their messes and dropped it outside their windows to the ground below. This mission only called for him to take the garbage out and dispose of it but it was sloppy and careless for the hospital to get rid of their waste materials and garbage this way. Someone deserved an ass kicking for it and someone would get one, since that was another mission the Tsuchikage herself had written up. The only thing was that one had to do this mission first and upon it's completion the Tsuchikage would issue the next mission in line.

Still, if they had it coming, at least had it coming from him, it would have to wait until the morning at the soonest as he still had work to do with the pill tonight.

The winds blew by the night sky and one of Iwagakure's most talented genin stood alone on the ground of the new village hospital. With a broom in hand the young man swept the grounds, the garbage piles that were an eyesore when he first arrived was nothing more than literal pile of ashes that the wind was very slowly blowing away. It was the end of yet another hard day of work and though his body didn't ache like most days of such hard work, his mind still required a lapse of time where he wasn't responsible for town drunk and village safety and multiple hard-headed children or some guy's failing love life. In short, he was ready to go home and call it quits til tomorrow. The almost finished Hyourougan he had been working on for the last two missions had been sitting in the sweet blue solution for some time now and with chopsticks ready he fished it from the tiny container and put it right back on the cooking sheet. With the cool dry air of the night he guessed it would be done with it's second round of baking in under half an hour.

For all the things he'd done tonight this one, although not as flashy as saving a diplomat or carrying a request for peace from one nation to another, it was still a good thing he'd done tonight. He used his clones to help get rid of the garbage that was cluttering up the side of the building. It made no sense why the person in charge of the hospital thought it would be okay to leave the stuff sitting that way all messy and unorganized like a landfill. It wasn't just a bad look and the name the hospital was giving itself, it was a bad look and name the hospital was giving the whole village. That was why the Tsuchikage wanted to have someone return to this place on mission and forcefully inform those in charge that garbage should be placed in garbage cans and taken away by the proper authorities, not thrown out the window and taken away by the wind. He was in no mood to go picking a fight with a bunch of medics anyhow, though he couldn't deny it would be a righteous mission. The healers were being very safe or clean and for that they deserved the ass kicking that was in their immediate future. Given how much he disliked hospital in general and how much he disliked the ranking staff at this hospital in particular it would be a perfect mission for him. It would have to wait however as he was putting the finishing touches on his last pill of the night.

"You are number three.. my finest work yet. I'm getting good at this pill making shit." He said cooly as he casually inspected the blue coated pill while said blue coating dripped to the ground. He held it in the air looking it over the way a jeweler looked over diamonds he was appraising or the way a chef looked over a favorite dish he'd just prepared to ensure everything was up to par before serving it. The analogies were also so spot on since like a diamond the Hyourougan was a jewel in it's own right on the battlefield and had more value than any diamond in that sense and it was also quite edible like any other gourmet meal and gave the consumer many times over the amount of every a mere dish would replenish. Sticking it on the cooking tray and covering that with the stone bowl the genin would simply continue to wait until it was finished. He had an old friend whom had reached out to him in his time of financial need. It wasn't a handout he was looking for, it was a running start, and now that he had it he wouldn't slow down for anyone. He was going full speed ahead into his ambitions and he was beyond pleased with himself that he'd able to find ambitions of his own, let alone accomplished them so fast.

Reaching into his pack he removed the other soldier pill he'd crafted before hand and examined it carefully, in awe over it's capabilities. The thing he hated about his plan was that he would be in debt for a small while and keeping any pills for himself, even in an emergency situation would only slow him down from repaying the debts he had acquired. He didn't worry about repaying the debt since that would be taken care of even in an emergency situation. His only real concern was that once his debts were repaid he wished to have those in his possession as if a worse case scenario unfolded he have to sell those to repay his debt just as he had acquired the debt in order to pay for them. Oh well... He thought to himself carefully and quietly. It was a calculated risk and he still had a lot to do in the next few days in order to ensure and maintain a rhythm and pattern in which he could craft a finite amount of an item in a given time frame and then sell them for money, make a payment to an old buddy towards his debts and then repeat until everyone was paid off, no one debt and everyone was happy because everyone got what they wanted.

Hearing an owl in the night sky made the genin realize how long he'd been simply sweeping in the area and waiting for the last pill to finish hardening with the sweet blue coating. The stone bowl was more or less cool to the touch as always, it was impressive how much it resisted heat and bounced it back at the pill or whatever it was holding and/or covering. The chopsticks were used once again to pick up the pill and put in it another rigid and small container before putting it and the one he'd made earlier today in his packs. In the morning he'd head for the Item Shop in the other parts of Earth Country but for tonight it would be nothing but a paycheck from Yoko and then hitting his bed, sadly the latter would be without Yoko, much the genin's disappointment. He snatched up the remaining crafting tools and materials he had sprawled about and pack them in his backpack before casually walking back to the Tsuchikage's Tower. Now that all the actual work was done he was in no rush to get back. Especially now that he could craft pills that were worth sixty times the amount of Ryo he was being paid for D-rank missions. No way, the money wasn't going anywhere now.

Rolling out of bed the body of a 19-year old Genin hit the floor and immediately after raised. Then it hit the floor again and then once again, it raised. The rises in falls carried on in a persistent manner as the muscles in his arms extended and contracted in a rhythm that supported his weight. The genin was doing push ups. Following up with sit ups and a ten lap jog around the boundaries of his family's property. The lot of it took no more than half an hour and was his normal waking routine when on downtime from missions. Today, the only thing he had on his mind was lying under his bed, packed away neatly and screaming for him to put them to work.

The sun looked down with approval on Iwagakure's hidden gem of a craftsman as he began to set up shop for today in the allotted space behind his home. All of his siblings were away on missions or simply out socializing so he had both the manor and the modest space around it, to himself. He would skip putting on most the blacksmith gear that came along with his newest set of tools. Save for the apron which was cheekily labeled with an image and the words "Kiss the Craftsman", none of the other parts of the gear helped. The gloves and goggles would be of use at some point but probably not day. He wasn't sanding down a gourd or building a kanabo. He was making a flak jacket.

Although it was technically clothing it was also a handy tool in and of itself, offering the person using it a place to store excess secondary weapons like ninja wire and explosive tags. So useful of a tool it was that Sen would have kept one for himself if not the rule that genin were prohibited from wearing Flak Jackets. Perks aside he might have looked good in a Flak Jacket though that might have just been from the chuunin and jounin ranks associated with the jacket itself.

It was just as well... he needed the Ryo more than a place to hide extra smoke grenades and light bombs. From the corner of his eye could see youton clones that bore his face working on individual parts of the jacket that would come together later as one piece while Sen himself oversaw the project and supervised.

Supervising while his clones did the grunt work was a system which he'd learned to use quite well but only in cases where his crafting jobs required multiple pieces. The clones were elementally based and one stupid mistake from any of them would cause said clone to disperse and melt everything it was working. In turn, the timeline of the project's completion would be set back considerably. He knew that he was working on a deadline so there would be no excuses if he wasn't ready and if he wasn't allowed to make any excuses he refused to let himself fall into a situation in which he needed

[/b] to make one.

Once his plan unrolled he would be able to buy whatever extra tools he needed, despite the setbacks from 'updating' his tools. It was a shame that the company that made the universal crafting tools claimed "hazard" on their old gear and made recalls on all old crafting tools. He'd even heard rumors that merchandise made with out-dated tools wouldn't be accepted in stores and no one on the street would dare buy them.

Every craftsman who took their trade seriously took the hit and traded in all their things to get the up-to-date tools. Trading in was a costly thing when the shops only gave you half of what your things were worth but they weren't left with much a choice.

Luckily for Sen he found that he had been sitting on enough tools and items the whole time to fund himself and get everything squared away with the new universal system. From his own records he came to the final conclusion that he traded in over one hundred and forty thousand ryo worth of old tools and excess items and weapons to get squared away with the new system and only got back a little over seventy thousand ryo to spend on all new stuff.

A tool box would enable him to take his tools with him on missions and a crafter's cradle would allow him that same mobility with a small collection of crafting materials. Obviously those two items were mandatory for him and had to be bought first. He was fortunate that with the measly four thousand ryo he had left over he could buy the starter D-rank crafting tools. He'd had to make other arrangements for ryo to fund the materials and higher quality tools he was short on at that moment but now he had everything he needed and his shop was set.[/justify][/blockquote]

As one of the youton clones pulled on a long stretch of material and began to sow it another piece of cloth he came to the startling conclusion that his clones had been this whole entire time working on one thing while he himself read the instructions for another.

As it would turn out despite telepathic links each clone and the original was so sure of what they were working on that no one noticed until right then that they weren't on the same thing at all.

Each of the clones moved with the intent and purpose he created them for. The only difference being that they working on something other than the Flak jacket. The pieces were actually part of something that was of a higher value than the jacket... a much

[/b] higher value. This item however, was one that Sen could keep if he so chose to but again, he needed the Ryo as did his benefactor. Pieces and parts of a cloth he couldn't readily distinguish were being looked at carefully. Protocol was to measure once, measure again and then cut. All pieces were to be put on the side for the next phase of the crafting.

As he took the lengths and shapes of the cloth thus far gathered up by his youton bunshin his thoughts went back to the company that made the recall on the old tools. His careful lines of questioning to the older takumi whom he bought his new tools from revealed that S-rank crafting tool kits would no longer be offered on the public market. It seemed the path of public access for their best and highest tier of crafting tools was no longer prudent for them.

With the old rules anyone with enough training and know how to use those tools and the ryo to afford the tools could have them. Now having both of those things weren't enough. He had no idea where those top of the line tools were going to end up but they had to be out there somewhere. Rubbing the non-existent stubble on his chin he could only seem to raise more questions for himself. If the highest caliber of tools were no longer available for public purchase... where could one go to find them?

...and once found what kind of things would one have to do to keep them?[/justify][/blockquote]

A telepathic call to attention came from one of his lava dopplegangers. He looked to see what the problem was only to see his clones looking back at him. Each of them wondering why the hell he was letting his thoughts get in the way of their work. Even though the clones were nothing more than masses of chakra imprinted with personality and looks he still felt the need to defend himself from their accusing glares. All of you can fuck off.

He thought to himself carefully stitching corners of cloth to other corners of cloth still unsure of what type of material the cloth was. It was a durable material that reminded him of leather but it lacked the sheen and texture leather always had, it was also much lighter and thinner. It made sense though; rucksacks allowed even a lowly genin like himself to carry more secondary items and tools into battle and on missions. It was useless if it was bulky and slowed someone down too much.

It had

[/b] to be lightweight to optimize mobility and it had[/b] to be durable because there was no telling what the hell a ninja would run into on a mission or at any random moment in their lives.

Once all the base parts were sown together to form the actual bag the rest of it was pretty straightforward. Clasps were used on both ends of the two lengths of material that would become it's shoulder straps. On the bag itself three holes were made, each once to occupy a object in it's void. The sides of the bag were fitted with metal rings that the strap's clasps could lock onto. The front of the bag and the top flap were fitted with their own locking mechanism. Nothing fancy but something to keep the things inside secure and not blowing away from a lack of covering during moments of high mobility. He was almost finished with the first rucksack and he had no lack of haste to finish the next one and pay off his aforementioned benefactor.

Even now he sat in Sen's store, patiently waiting for the return on his investment. Probably with those Hyorougan in his pocket, the very same ones Sen himself had made for the Uchiha during a previous arrangement which ended up very fruitful for both parties involved. Ryu put sixty-thousand ryo in the hands of a good friend and that friend not much later put ninety-thousand ryo's worth of solider pills back in Ryu's hand. It wasn't a stretch to assume the konoha-nin still had all three of them since he doubted he had come across any situation turbulent enough to require more than energy Ryu naturally possessed on a daily basis.[/justify][/blockquote]

Once more the genin turned out to be lucky that he had allies he could call on. Not just allies he could call on, but allies he could call on with their own resources who also knew the Iwa-nin well enough to trust in his word and ability to deliver.

Not like Sen was complaining, with the new layout of his tools and shop it would take a while before he would be able to make Hyourougan again. If Ryu ran out of pills and he wasn't able to reload his customer then it wouldn't look good on his standing as a craftsman. Plus there was the issue of himself needing to have a stash of pills as well. The one he kept for emergencies had been sold to help cover the costs of the his new tools and materials. It served it him right though for hoarding and now on the bright side he was burning to get back to crafting and replace all that he'd had to sell. A temporary setback was only that, temporary.

It would be sometime before he could make pills but for the moment as long as he could make rucksacks he could just buy pills. The things were damned easy to put together had a really high value in shops. Plus there was the fact that they were useful as hell so Sen could eventually make one for himself to keep.

With the two shoulder straps attached the genin made sure to use generous amounts of treatment glaze and give the materials a finish that would be resistant and durable to many natural occurrences in nature such as rain, snow, hail, intense heat and airborne debris. Hell, with enough of the treatment sitting in it the cloth the rucksack was made of it could even repel small amounts of fire. The whole point of the rucksack was keeping the contents inside safe and untouched and this modest sized item got the job done.

Setting his creation down on a tray he left it to cook in the sun. The glaze applied would need time to set in and Sen himself would need to change into some proper clothes and make a run to the closest item shop in the village.

First he would take his finished product to the store for a sale and then he would pay off his debt to Ryu who was still waiting back at the store and he would cap it all off with a nice little strange piece of change in his pocket to do with whatever he needed later. Of course he still had one more sack to make before he could do all those other things.

As tired as he was from the uncertainty of having to craft a new item and then sit through the grueling process of having a shop owner critique his work he knew he couldn't rest until he'd used up that other piece of crafting material he'd bought from his visit to the shops yesterday. The guy couldn't argue with convenience and with the new system he didn't have to wait until he was already handling business outside the village to visit an item shop.

If he needed kunai at two in the afternoon, the shop was open in the village. If he needed a Hyourougan at three in the morning, the shop was open in the village. If he needed to sell two rucksack's he'd spent his whole morning crafting.... guess what?

The shop in the village was open.

It didn't much matter how long it took it to get the job done since the shop would be open in the village rain or snow. Still he couldn't imagine selling the two sacks in a store, making his profit, paying off Ryu spending fifty-thousand ryo on five new pieces to make five new sacks and then coming back home to make those five new sacks. Once this second crafting job was done he would have enough ryo in his pocket to do all the things he needed to do with his ryo all in one transaction. Selling the rucksacks would yield him a hefty and useful one hundred and eighty-thousand ryo, which was more than enough to take care of the modest list of tasks he had to fulfill with that same ryo.

With any business arrangement there were unique arrangements and circumstances but usually if the benefactor was not the same person as the worker the benefactor wanted their ryo. That wasn't to say Ryu wouldn't give him an extension on repaying the loan if he needed one, but it was to say that Sen, as a craftsman and businessman wanted his benefactor paid off first and foremost. That would only improve their business relationship. The next time Sen asked his Uchiha ally for seed money the first thing he would remember was how fast Sen took his fifty-thousand ryo and turned it into sixty-thousand ryo.

He was building names for himself in both the ninja and crafting worlds simultaneously. Though his pride held more on the latter than the former. He would rather have been recognized as the world's best craftsman than the world's most powerful ninja. With a steady hand and sharp eyes the young man continued to cut and shape pieces together to form the 'sack' part of the rucksack.
