The journey had been rather quick for me. My mind had trailed as we headed up the mountain toward the village. I continued to ponder on what to expect of Kumogakure. Finally all the hinderances were over. I was now going to visit the place that I would call home from now on. It was a strange feeling, but also a good one. I simply followed the Raikage as he lead the way. He knew exactly where to go, which was good as Ranshi and I had no idea where we were. Soon enough however, the gates stood ahead of our position.
A simple yell from the Raikage and the doors opened for us. I looked up and took note of some of the stares from the gate guards. I was still wearing my Konohagakure headband. No doubt it was something that would be strange to see. Two Konohgakure ninja travelling alongside the Raikage to his village. But the guards did what they were told. As long as I stayed near the Raikage, I would be out of harms way.
The village was what I had expected, but also much more. It was extravagant as if we were in a village within the heavens. The clouds swirled just above our heads as the bright sun shone magnificently across the area. It was truly a beautiful village. I walked through the gates and felt that same feeling as I had felt before. This place was what I was supposed to call home from this time on. The more I looked around at the village, the more it enticed me. I wanted to explore the place and get to know what truly rested up here in the clouds. First however, we had proper formalities to go through.
The Raikage called out to both Ranshi and I as we entered the gates. I didn't even get to have a good inspection of the village yet. It was no bother. What we had planned was more important: initiation into the Kumogakure brotherhood. We would throw aside the ties of our past and take on a new future. The Raikage began to lead us through the village to where I assumed his office was located. No longer would I wear this insignia on my forehead. I would take on a new symbol. A symbol that represented glory and hope. A symbol of the sky itself. The symbol of the cloud. I was ready to wear it proud.
