➢ Kohaku had finally entered regions unknown to him. The luscious forests of the Fire Country suddenly faded from existence. The terrain around him had been replaced with rough rock. Ahead of him he could see mountainous stone structures that extended up into the clouds. He attempted to recall where he was, but no memory existed within his mind. He was walking into regions unknown to him that were potentially filled with unknown ninja. He just hoped that whomever he came across sided with Konohagakure. Otherwise he would potentially be walking to his death. He didn't want to fight right now. Kohaku was tired.

➢ His headband was still wrapped tightly around his forehead. Though it was more for protection rather than to show off what village he was aligned to. It was just only a few days ago that he called himself a ninja from Konohagakure. Now he was simply a wanderer, attempting to find a new home across the various shinobi lands. Though he did not have a chosen land that he was headed to. He simply walked forward. Kohaku was just looking for a place to call his home. He had never truly belonged within his previous village. As a warrior of the ROOT, he would bend his back at the word of his master. Times had changed now.

➢ He pulled a muesli bar from out of his back pouch. He had been walking for days now, stopping each night to acquire rest of course. But throughout the day, he just walked. Kohaku needed to find civilisation soon. He was slowly running out of food, originally being prepared to leave the village for a few days with his previous squad. All he had now were a few bars and his basic shinobi skills to keep him alive. Originally he thought it would have been needed enough. Sleeping in the forest each night had made him think otherwise. Now that he was in unknown lands, his life was now on the line. Who would he find?

He sure did look the like the man Eiichiro had been requested to look for. Pulling out a small scroll from his side-pouch, he would unravel the roll, looking at the contents which contained information on a man. Long-hair, dark eyes, and fine features - it had to be this man, and upon spotting the symbol that was embroiled on his headband he knew it had to be him. Eiichiro was positioned behind boulder-sized rock, one of many that littered this road of Kaminari no Kuni. His presence would be unknown to the stranger up ahead, his unmatched talent as a espionage spy making him the perfect, and perhaps, only person from the village who could confront this man.

Tch..maybe that's why the elders were so persistent.. he mused to himself as his fell hard-pressed against the cold stone. Kumogakure's intelligence division now expanded across the whole ninja world, with its fingers in many pies. Information on this Konohagakure man had entered their system only a week prior, with messages sent back to Kumo from the many "birds" that the division had in the Fire Country. But why would the Raikage be sent on such a mission? It was still a question that Eiichiro, himself, had not figured out yet. Despite his busy schedule the village Elders were persistent on the matter that he, and only he, would retrieve this shinobi. Without question Eiichiro would have to obey the orders of his council, it was his duty to do so.

Shuffling slightly to his left he would arch his head around allowing his eyes to gain a peripheral gaze upon his target. He was still in position, a mere twelve meters ahead of Eiichiro. As Eiichiro looked the man up and down his experienced and analytical eye would deduce the somatic facts that the stranger offered. He seemed tired, and lost - most likely travelling for days to get to Kaminari no Kuni, a country that he didn't seem familiar with. Turning back to originally position behind the boulder, his presence was once again, concealed. But not for long. Clearing his throat he would speak in a loud voice making sure the stranger would be able to hear him. With his visual presence still hidden it would most likely confuse the shinobi, putting him on guard and edge. But Eiichiro was not here to attack the man, it was actually quite the opposite.

"You must be the shinobi named..Yūhi Kohaku."

The journey had seemed endless. The road ahead of him continued to incline more and more upwards with each step. It was as if he was entering the heavens above. There had been many stages in which he had pondered on the idea of giving up. Death was the easy way out.

But he was stronger than that. He would persevere even if it brought him to the brink of exhaustion. Kohaku was a man on a mission. He would not rest until he had found what he sought after - even if he was still unaware as to what he was entirely looking for. As long as the road ahead continued, his journey would not end. He would walk to the end of the world if it meant that he could find a place to belong.

A voice. Something snapped the boy back into reality as he continued to walk along this endless road. The voice of an individual broke the silence that had filled the air for some time. He had missed the sound of another person's voice, only listening to his own voice as he mumbled to himself. It was the voice of hope. Something that could bring him back from the path of insanity that he was slowly falling down. Someone had shown up to bring him back from the darkness. Yet, he could not see his saviour.

"Hello? Can anyone hear me out there?" He spoke with a croaky voice. Dehydration was taking its toll on his body. His body required fluid but he had to maintain his supply. As one walked to an unknown destination, it could have been days before one was to come across a source of water. Judging from the terrain that he was now in, Kohaku would have a difficult time finding a pool of fresh water.

He rubbed his eyes as he looked around. Was he hearing things? Kohaku shook his head around. Who was out there? Kohaku flicked his hand onto his tantō. Drawing it to his front, he held it out in front of him in a firm guard. "Don't play around with me," he warned with his tired voice.

Eiichiro remained behind the boulder which concealed his presence, listening intently on the as he reacted to his quip. His voice was dry and croaking like a lakeside toad; and even as he projected warning his voice was noticeably tired. It seems his journey truly had been as long as his body expressed and by the looks of his rations it was a somewhat impromptu leave. Shifting his body forward off of the rocks surface he would turn around to the right, revealing his presence, as he walked into the open path. He didn't bother to disguise himself; instead he wore his usual attire - a dark shirt with a long grey overcoat covered his torso as his signature floral patterned pants rested over his hips and legs.

He would begin to walk toward the travelling Konohagakure shinobi with a leisure in his step; each sole of his footwear creating small clouds of dust in the dry path. His silky blonde hair would sit neatly as its tips danced around in the slight breeze. The sun was high in the sky; its heat radiated down upon the two shinobi stood in the middle of the dusty path, the slight breeze the only respite from encapsulating warmth. Kaminari no Kuni was heading into his dry season as the valleys between the giant mountains dry out, hollowing into canyons. Eiichiro could tell the man was thirsty and tired, had he been on the run or followed? Reaching his hand to his back he would reached into a pouch, pulling out a sealed bottle of water. Throwing it the distance to Kohaku it would land around chest height for the shinobi to catch, but he would have to drop the tanto to react in time. If he wanted the water - it would disarm him in the same process.

His walk continued as the distance between the two shinobi turned close to one meter. Eiichiro would square out his frame as he came to a stop, each heel of his feet sliding somewhat as gravel crunched beneath the pressure. Angling his head down a small amount it would allow his naked eye to gain a look through his rose-tinted sunglasses. He was confident it was him. Resting hand on his hip he would cock his head to the right as he began to speak. He was here to help Kohaku, to show him a new ninja-way and to find him a new purpose. But it wasn't wise for them to stand idly on the open road either; especially if Kohaku had been tracked. He would speak in a playful and confident tone - the sound in his voice compelling him that he was to be trusted.

"You must be thirsty Kohaku, drink up."

Eiichiro wasn't sure if the man knew of his identity, but he didn't try to mask it - the face of a kage was all too well-known these days. Eiichiro would look straight into the eye of the shinobi, his power and presence all shown through just a stare.

"Its not safe to stay on the open road, come with me - I can show you a new home. A new ninja way.."

Out from behind a nearby boulder came the man who had spoken before. Kohaku had not been hearing things after all. It was difficult to maintain ones sanity after long periods of isolation from the real world. A lack of civilisation and association with another human being had taken its toll on the ex-Konoha ninja. The man had unique leggings. It was what had caught Kohaku's eye the most as he edged closer to him. Well, that and his flowing blonde hair.

Kohaku watched the dust kick up from beneath the man's feet as he paced towards him. The dust accentuated the dehydrated feeling within his throat. It only made his thirst increase. The boy looked up as the movement was made with the unknown man's hands. The flying water bottle came a moment later. Kohaku shifted his tantō into his left hand as he caught the water bottle with his right. He would not be able to open the bottle whilst holding the weapon in his off-hand. The water was more important, for now.

Sliding the weapon away, Kohaku ripped open the seal of the water bottle. He immediately then proceeded to gulp down the water as if he had not had a drink in days. A sudden gush of rejuvenation filled his body as he could feel the cold water slip down his insides. By the time he had come back into realisation of the events that were currently beholding him, the man had moved himself to be at least one step away. He realised suddenly that he had let his guard down. His weapon was sheathed away and his hands were preoccupied with a water bottle. If he was to be attacked right now, he would have a hard time trying to defend.

The man spoke with a charismatic tone. It enticed Kohaku to listen intently to what he had to say. He had not introduced himself, yet Kohaku had seen the face of this man before. Perhaps he had studied him in the past. Under the guidance of the ROOT, Lord Au had made sure that all members were up-to-date with the current shinobi world and the leading figureheads. Though it had been quite some time ago, Kohaku felt as if he had already identified who this man was.

His words appealed to the young ex-Konoha ninja. It was all he sought after. How was this man so on point with what Kohaku was thinking? Perhaps this was truly a miracle from the heavens above. It was where he would have come from, as the land behind him ascended toward the clouds above. After re-sealing the lid on the bottle of water, Kohaku posed a few questions to the man before they would move on.

"How can I trust you? And also, how do you know my name?"

His body was weakened as the movements of the boy became somewhat sluggish and unmotivated. He had been travelling for days -most likely- on the run with limited supplies. Achingly; he would snatch the bottle of water from the air proceed to let the liquid enter through his arid throat. The sensation of fresh water would all but consume him for a moment as he struggled to regain hydration. Eiichiro could only imagine how this young shinobi felt, opting to leave everything he had ever known behind for a fresh start. It was something Eiichiro could relate to, personally, as his mind wandered back to the time when he himself left the Fire Country.

He didn't know it was a selfish feeling wanting to help the boy. Was he drawn to protect this boy because of his own past? or was it merely because of the order he was given? Regardless, there was some sort of emotion here - and the longer the two shinobi stood out openly the less likely Eiichiro would find his answers. Sealing the cap on his bottle of water, Kohaku would begin to speak as he wondered about the mysterious appearance of Eiichiro. The golden-haired Kage would pause a moment before replying as he closed his eyes allowing his Mind's Eye to expand in a flurry of chakra. Mapping out in a one-hundred meter radius from Eiichiro at the epicenter his ability would locate any trackers or foreign shinobi.

Zing! Just as he had thought. Through his extended vision he had located a small party of four ninja, there chakra trails notifying him that they would be of approximate chuunin-level and ninety meters away from the pair. They have to be after Kohaku, no question Eiichiro would think to himself as he opened his eyes once again - allowing his emerald stare to reach Kohaku once again. He would have no time to explain the full situation to the boy; with the impending group most likely Konoha shinobi and a part of the ROOT organisation - Eiichiro was certain they would have at least a single skilled tracker in their group. In a single flash of a step Eiichiro would be at the boys side near-instantly, his left arm slipping underneath and circling around Kohaku's right.

"You are being followed Kohaku. If you want to survive long enough to live a new life, then follow me. As the Third Lightning Shadow you have my word. You can trust me.."

His words were urgent but softly spoken into the ear of the boy. His warning sounded simultaneously as his armed hooked around Kohaku's, and before he would even realise, the Raikage had pulled him off of his feet and into the air. Kohaku's tired and fatigued body would effortlessly succumb to his strength with their immediate destination being the cover of the trees that lined either side of the dirt path. However, their eventual location was something much more grand. The great village of Kumogakure.

Many day’s and many nights had passed through the sky’s above me as I traveled without destination, only thing I had to guide me was one star that seemed to always be around. I had been traveling from land of Hi no kuni a land that I once called my home, the place where I was a part of their shinobi forces. It was obvious that I couldn’t go back to konoha after I left with Momo-san which why I fled, it was shortly after the root meeting where I found myself at a crossroad. A path had to be chosen, I had the choice to live in brother shadow or create one for him to live under. The path that I had chosen was the reason I had find myself in foreign lands wandering aimlessly for days.

On the fourteenth day of my travels I had found myself in a land covered by mountains, it was a totally different terrain than the one I was familiar with back home in hi no kuni. There wasn’t very much grass nor was there to much water, It was different but for some reason it had seemed kind familiar it felt as if I had passed through here once before. But the memories defiantly weren’t potent enough to pinpoint my exact location, but I did have a small sense of direction. I would continue to move through the forest remaining as alert as possible, it had been a couple day’s sense I had last had human interaction that didn’t really go to well.

“Seems like I just can’t run into good people, I wish brother hadn’t been so reckless.”

I would say to myself as I moved swiftly into what seemed like a lightly wooded area, it hadn’t seemed like it was the right way to go. As I entered the area I would notice the lack of wildlife in the woods, it was pretty weird because there was tons of wildlife wandering the open plains. But I wouldn’t let my mind focus much on that as I would refocus myself to be more aware of my surroundings.

“sigh”

I’d let a small sign of fatigue, it had been awhile since I took a break. My body was beginning to feel the wear and tear of the countless days of travel, as I stopped at one of the larger trees in the light forest. My eyes would begin to wander left and right as I would hear the sound of someone else moving through the forest, my eyes would dart all around until I caught a small glimpse of someone. I wasn’t sure if they were aware of my own presents, so I would use that to my advantage as I moved towards them. As I got close enough I would notice one of the men, the one that had seemed to be exhausted particularly.

“Oh, wow.”

I’d say to myself as my interest heightened quite a bit, I would move towards them hoping not to appear as a hostile with about 10 meters of space between us I would call out to them.

My suspicions had been correct, it seemed. How could I have been so ignorant? I was running away from the leader of the ROOT. Of course I was being followed. The organisation itself had to be protected. Those who defected, were ultimately tracked down and killed for their treachery. I thought I could escape though. Perhaps I needed to wake up to myself. Was it really possible to escape from something that had lingered over you throughout your entire life? Perhaps I was living in a dreamland.

The embrace of the Raikage, as I had just discovered, changed me slightly. I could feel warmth in his grasp as he held his right arm around me. Perhaps there was a future with him in Kumogakure. It all made sense to me now, where we currently were. The mountainous land edging up into the clouds. This was Kaminari no Kuni. How could I have forgotten? I had studied it numerous times in the past, readying myself for the day that I would come across an enemy Kumogakure ninja. But now the times had changed. I was no longer the boy I once was. And these so called enemies of the past; they had become my hope. Hope for a new future where I was no longer haunted by the corruption of the ROOT. A future where I could finally find friends, family... and acceptance.

However something else would occur right before we would make our leave. Another presence would join us. His voice was recognisable, as if I had heard it in the past. I turned my head to see the boy, Ran-Chi. He was Lord Au's younger brother. Perhaps he had been the one sent to kill me. I didn't have the strength to do much, but perhaps I could at least distract him so that the Raikage could finish him off. Anything was worth a shot. I was so close to finding something that I truly desired. I wasn't going to let some assassin take it away from me, especially if they were from the ROOT. This would also send a message to Au. I was no longer a puppet to his reign. I was my own self now.

"This is the brother of the leader of ROOT. His name is Chiatsuki Ranshi," I mumbled to the Raikage whilst I was still up close to him. I didn't know what Ranshi wanted, and why he had followed me here. But if my suspicions were correct, he was here to kill me on behalf of his brother.

"Why are you here Ranshi? If you're here to kill me, ready yourself for a fight," I demanded whilst edging away from the Raikage. I quickly turned around to assure my newfound friend. "Please allow me to fight this one Raikage. I must prove to myself, and the ROOT, that they can no longer control my life." After speaking I moved two metres toward the other ROOT member. I reached for my tantō and removed it from its sheath. There was no way I was going to go down without a fight. Upon pointing the blade's tip toward Ranshi, I waited for him to draw his own weapon. That was of course if he was here for a fight. Maybe I had missed something.

The entrance of another individual into the frey had not gone unnoticed. Where some relied on their ocular prowess - Eiichiro had his Mind's Eye. His chakra sensory had picked up on the stranger as he made his way through the same forest. His attention had been focussed on the group further back that approached from a different direction - their impending presence making in-roads on Eiichiro and Kohaku. They just didn't have time for this. The golden-haired shinobi's face was still with calm and resolution - however, his heart was beating quickly. He knew he had to dissolve the situation quickly without allowing the tracking party to gain more ground on their current location. Picking up on the unknown presence twenty meters back he had time to adjust, but now that he was within ten meters the situation would become more pressing.

A sound would emanated from the strangers mouth, a simple "Yo!" would signal his arrival in their immediate area as Eiichiro darted across each branch with Kohaku close. As the stranger spoke it gave Eiichiro the opportunity to react as he broadened¹ his Mind's Eye. Was this stranger a friend or foe? The Raikage would leap to one more branch before seizing, as both he and Kohaku turned to meet their new guest. Kohaku would react as he spoke into Eiichiro's ear, his body seeming tense and readied. Chiatsuki Ranshi, the brother of the ROOT leader. Interesting... Eiichiro would muse to himself as Kohaku voiced threats to his ROOT companion. Kohaku sure felt hostility and with reason enough. If Ranshi was the brother of the ROOT leader than his attendance in Kaminari no Kuni woodlands would be suspicious. With a tracking party approaching - was this guy here to confront us? to allow the approaching group to catch up?

Gripping his fist slightly Eiichiro mulled the situation over in his mind as Kohaku just forward slightly, drawing his weapon in anticipation for a fight. He was tired, his body weak from days of travel, but he wanted to prove himself to Eiichiro. Turning his head to Kohaku he could see the emotion that flowed from him, like a river bursting its banks - it wouldn't take much for him to muster strength for a battle as adrenaline would flood his system. Eiichiro would loosen his body as he took a deep breath, his foot launching off of his branch as his body glided forward three meters just ahead of Kohaku. The duty of keeping his comrade safe was in his hands and after years of protecting a whole village and country it came second nature to him. His poise and strength would instantly emanate forward towards Ranshi as the surrounding leaves reacted vehemently to his jester of strength. He was not someone to be messed with.

Turning to Kohaku he would speak to him before once again looking at Ranshi - his visage firmly fixed on the new arrival. He could sense no hostility in the voice and chakra of the new arrival - but with an approaching tracking group from ROOT, Eiichiro couldn't rely on their chakra fluctuation and emotional reaction. He knew they were trained to guard against such things.

"You do not have to prove yourself to ROOT, Kohaku, you don't owe them anything. Nor do you have to prove yourself to me, I should be proving myself to you - convincing you that there is another way."

"Ranshi, is it? What is your purpose here as a ROOT member. This is Kumogakure's territory and Kohaku is now under the derestriction and protect of the village. You will have to get through me if you wish to lay a hand on him.."

His words would cut through the air like sword, stoic and tempered, he didn't have enough time to beat around the bush.

Ranshi made no response to me. It did not matter for I did not care for what he had to say. The ROOT was merely a speck of my past now. I had a new future ahead of me and this golden light in front of me, the Raikage, would guide me along the way. I slowly slid away my tantō. If Ranshi was going to do something he would have done it by now. The boy had done nothing to me in the past. He, like I, had just followed whatever order that was given. I wished we could have become friends. He was too close to Au though. It was something that I had once craved myself. No more.

I was now free from the chains of my past. It was time for me to go to my new home. Standing out in the countryside only made me more and more tired as each minute past. I decided to speak up to the Raikage concerning my current feelings. "He's not going to say why he's truly here. Perhaps you have scared him, my lord. I think we should just go and leave him here. Kumogakure awaits." I wondered what the Raikage would think of my proposition. I hoped he wasn't a man fuelled by bloodshed. Then again, if he were then I would not be standing where I was right now. This man was different to the last leadership that I had been under. I wondered how I would adapt to it. It was strange thinking that every breath I made would no longer be overlooked by my superior. Was this freedom? It felt good.



I readied myself to move off with the Raikage once he was ready. Whether Ranshi would survive out here alone would be up to the Raikage. Leaving him out here to die would serve as a much harder punishment than killing him on the spot. But it made me wonder. Why was Ranshi really here? He had not made a move, and the fact that he had alerted the both of us of his arrival made things more suspicious. Either Ranshi simply sucked at assassination or he was here for another reason. Maybe I was thinking too hard into it. Surely if he was here for something else he would have voiced it by now. Why the boy remained quiet beat me.

The excitement of a new place overwhelmed my thoughts soon after. I stopped thinking about why Ranshi was on my tail and began imagining of what awaited me. It was said that the village was based high up in the clouds. Something that was truly amazing in my mind. And what of the ninja that were there? Would they accept me as one of their own? I hoped that they were as warm as their Raikage was. Settling in would be difficult without the aid of a local. I knew it was for the best though. Things would work out for me in the end.

A look of disbelief would cross my face as Kohaku made his own assumptions on why I was in the lightning country, he was under the impression I was sent here to retrieve him from orders of the ROOT organization. He had been too paranoid while also being poorly informed; I had no foul intentions towards my comrade someone from the country I was born in. So as Kohaku grabbed his weapon I would take a step back, but before I would even be able to speak the man that had been accompanying him had leapt forward landing on a branch not far from me. As he spoke he would introduce himself as the third Raikage, I would recognize the man from one of the many books brother had made me read.

As he began to speak I had to take a second to think, why was I here as a ROOT member? I couldn’t think of anything, ROOT wasn’t even on my mind once I had left brother’s side that night. He had said he was going off to do something and never returned, I don’t even know what’s supposed to happen to the organization. But the reason I was here was one of self-discovery, I hadn’t planned anything specific but I had heard I had family in this country. Once I could finally muster up the words Kohaku had been ready to leave, as he moved of I would begin to speak.

“Well, I’m honestly not here as a member of the ROOT organization… Since that night you left I haven’t even seen my brother. I left Konoha to find myself; I have been living in my brother’s shadow for so long that I had no true objectives for myself. This reunion with one another is a coincidence, a good one I might add because I think I might have had a family member that was a part of your village I was hoping to catch up with… Bit Kuroso, isn’t he a Kumogakure Shinobi?”

Eiichiro's head would tilt slightly as his jaw cock-down, mouth open in a playful gesture of surprise. Looking through his rose-tinted lens his eyes would be masked from any other, but he knew different. An Uchiha 'eh...and the name that left his lips; Bit Kuroso. An amalgamation of past memories would converge on the golden-haired man in a flurry of heighten sense, his cognition taking back to the time they had first meet. Crossing the lake in rough weather would be the first memory to flash - on their first mission together as they were assigned to be partners, their destination was the dam ... ... He and Bit had to stop the dam from flooding through the countryside of kaminari as it had sustained damage. Memories of the yonbi would then flash as he went back to kusa as his friend fought by his side. The heat, devastation - but they both survived then. So why now?

In the split second that had gone Eiichiro could come too, lucid - and staring at the young uchiha that stood in front of him. Casting his emerald gaze over Ranshi he would think; ]an Uchiha from Konoha, the resemblance is there. In a darting fashion his hand would swiftly move behind his pouch to grab out a small pouch containing his cigarettes. Slender fingers would reach in to grab one, before he placed the pouch back behind him. Lighting its tip, the grey smoke would enter the air around him at speed as he sucked down on its end. Turning his head quickly around he would look at Kohaku for moment, before turning back to Ranshi. His Mind's Eye was in constant surveillance, scouting the surrounding area, keeping tabs on the group that quickly approached their position. The calming rush of the cigarette brought him back to his normal self, as he pursed his lips, he would speak to Ranshi.

"Interesting ther' boy. But theres a tracker group that is about to descend on our location in about...twenty seconds, so we have to move, now."

"Come Kohaku!"

He would say as his body was now turned. If this boy was truly a cousin of Bit then Eiichiro had to know more about him, after all, if wouldn't be right any other way. Taking another long drag on his cigarette a plume of smoke would drift off into the wind as he bend his knees slightly, with chakra charged feet. Knowing that Kohaku and Ranshi were tired he had no other choice, it would be a test for them. Jumping four meters high into the air he would aim to collide with another branch and leap-off his direction Kumogakure. He had to set a quick pace and he could only hope they would keep up - the group approached fast, faster than they both knew. His his body in the air he would speak out to Ranshi.

I noticed that the Raikage and Ranshi had one thing in common: they both knew this 'Bit' person. But who was he? I had no idea myself and wasn't too concerned to learn more. All I really wanted to do was to just get out of this rugged area. It seemed to the only thing keeping me here was Ranshi. Yet I had realised something. I was indeed right before with my second guess. Ranshi was here for another reason. He too was looking for a new future, just like I was. Perhaps we both could unite under the banner of Kumogakure. Take what we've learned from the ROOT... and move forward.

The Raikage had surprised me with what he said. Ranshi wasn't the only one that was following me. Perhaps they weren't even after me. I thought about it, and it made sense that Au would no doubt be angered by his own brother's defect. It made sense that these trackers were perhaps after the running Ranshi instead of me. That was a little more weight off my shoulders. But now that Ranshi was technically in our unit, we were back in the risk zone. It was time for us to move.

The Raikage called my name and I would follow. Since Ranshi had already lead the trackers to us, it was best that we stuck together and got out of her as soon as possible. Kumogakure would be the safe haven for all of our threats. It was key that we got back onto our journey. I watched as the Raikage suddenly lept up onto a tree branch. This was the sign to get going. I would then leap up to follow before turning around to look down at Ranshi.



"You coming?" After Ranshi would answer the question, I would then move off in the direction of the Raikage. Next stop: Kumogakure.

The tense air that had once clouded the air had seemed to disperse as I explained my reasons for being in Kami, my assumptions about the blonde head fellow were true he did know of my cousin. Because as I said his name his facial expression had looked as if I caught his attention, I figured it had to be a good thing as my statement were finishing up he would take a pull of his smoke. As he exhaled the smoke he began to speak of a group that could be potentially pursing Kohaku, though I found that less likely than them pursing myself I just gave a simple head nod before the Raikage turned to Kohaku.

As he told Kohaku to follow him he would turn to before asking if I would be coming along, I would look at him for just a second as the Raikage took into trees. I would hear his voice once more as he leapt from one branch to the next; he would give me the go ahead to follow him. A slight grin would cross my grin as I looked towards Kohaku.

“Of course I am.”

I’d say before taking off behind the Raikage, it had seemed like my plans were coming together piece by piece. Though I still had the thought of the Hidden Leaf in the back of my head, I wouldn’t second guess the choices I had made.

The heel of each foot would touch down on the solid timber branch for only a moment before lifting off once again. Their visage would escape the focus of the naked eye, their speed increasing enabling the group to attempt to gain distance between themselves and the tracking group. However, Eiichiro was confident in the situation as a whole, there was a not an instance where he had put himself or the others in danger, his powerful Mind's Eye keeping an omnipresent target on their head. And, on top of that, they were close to the village now - its smell and feel all too familiar to its leader.

The blur of green and brown would soon fade as their made their way to the edge of the forest as it met with a rocky path once again. Leaping up the Raikage would turn and somersault before guiding both of his long legs safely to the ground below. Picking up instantly he wouldn't stop, only looking back briefly to keep an eye on his two younger guests who trailed his position. Gliding across the dry dirt path the large boulders which scattered the terrain now also stopped as a steep trail would appear before them. In a few moment after travelling on the path they would see the beginnings of the villages main gate, as their location wrapped seamlessly around the mountains side.

"Ohoi!"

The Raikage would yell out as he approached the gates. The guards would notice him by a mere look as the powerful dull creak of the gates began to ring. The party that trailed them would most likely stop meters back; their willingness to enter main gates of a Great Nation seeming small in Eiichiro's eye. As they moved ever closer, Eiichiro would look back at his two guests - this being their first time witnesses the entrance of Kumogakure. Its large stone structure dominated the mountainous terrain signposting it being the only entrance to a Great Nation. As the clouds slowly rolled down the hills to either-side it was a true representative day of the villages namesake.

"Come with me boys - we have much to discuss."
