The country of Kaminari no Kuni was so far proving to be full of wonders Hiruzen wouldn’t have before have guessed possible for one lone country. He had seen already the frozen, near desolate wasteland villages of the higher, snow capped mountain ranges, and now here he stood, as if such places didn’t even exist. For he was now looking at the Great Ocean, leaning over a small stone wall separating him from the edge of the cliff.

This sea side village was built upon the edge of a mountain that jutted out in to the ocean like a stone blade, and the waves could not only be heard, but seen crashing against the stone below. The vastness of the ocean was breathtaking by itself, but when paired next to that of the sky on a warm day like today, this place may seem to have no comparison. Surely not when compared to the last place he had stopped in kaminari.

The frozen little village of San Grino hadn’t been very inviting, but the food had proven exceptional and the company he’d stumbled upon had made the entire experience more then memorable. In fact it was the very meeting that drove him to remain in this country rather then moving onto to see what else the world held in store.

The Blue haired shinobi rose form his slouch, looking out to the sea, and tried to considered what else he’d find in this country. The little village to his back and the vast open ocean to his front, possibilities seemed endless.

"It's a long way down isn't it?" spoke a familiar voice to the young shinobi named Hiruzen. How curious it was to find him again and so soon. The dreamer of immortality, well the other dreamer, was there three of them now or just two. The other one Kotamaru still remained a mystery and she had not seen his like since they first met at the little restaurant in the frozen village of San Grino. Azula had wandered the remainder of that day and the next, her mind overflowing with ideas and plans. After a painstaking amount of thought she had slunk back to Kumogakure, content to remain in it's shadow whilst events in kaminari unfurled further.

Her absence had been noted however and had simply managed to sweet talk and bluff her way into making her parents and seniors think she had fought and been tracking Nukenin. This lie was sweetened with a little truth, an account of her time, a vague description of the Nukenin. Yet so far it seemed the Oinin were busy scratching their asses. Which is good to know. she thought to herself with a small triumphant smirk. The Kunoichi had been standing atop an old building, a small chapel for worship. With an aerial somersault she landed elegantly before Hiruzen before stretching her arms back like a cat.

"So how is kaminari treating you Hiruzen-kun, still alive i see." she chuckled in a good natured sense, the security of the country was obviously lacking in comparison to the days of the great flash where enemies and guards seemed placed every few meters. Striding over to join her old companion Azula lent with one arm on top of the old wall and spat. She watched it for awhile and soon her spittle was lost from sight. It is such a long way down. she thought to herself, such heights would no matter when she was free of deaths impossibly strong snare. And here was someone who sought the same prize, a fellow conspirator.

A voice, so familiar yet unknown caught His attention, and as he stepped back to turn and look for it’s origin, he saw her. For the second time he’d be graced with the presence of the girl who wished to live forever. A small smirk crossed his lips. He didn’t think he’d see her nor their third companion for quite some time. And now here they were, just a few days after their meeting, graced with each others company once more.

As she came his way Hiru gave a courteous nod to her. She was an interesting one indeed and he’d thought so since he first met her. A beauty in her own right, with a cold lurking presence about her he assumed came with being a shinobi. Beautiful yet fierce, a truly deadly combination. He briefly wondered what thoughts she may have of him but brushed the thought off. The more interesting thing about her was that they shared a dream. Their desire to live forever, to defy death and obtain great power in this world was shared.

Few he’d met shared these desires so to find one who did, and one he didn’t have to kill for uncovering his Nuke-nin title, was a welcomed and interesting companion indeed. She asked him a question, a simple one but one that played through his mind cause it correlated with a past conversation. Shinobi being deadly, and her having knowledge of him as a Nuke of Sunagakure she commented on his life, and that he still kept it.
”I thought you’d remember that I wish to live forever. Dying now would only defeat my goals and slap my dreams in the face. And I’d never give up so easily.”

He smiled a bit more, His gourd’s weight shifted on his back as he scratched the back of his head.
”Besides if I died, you’d no doubt hear about it. If I am to go out, might as well make it memorable no? Last forever in the pages of history at least haha”

She let out a long gentle laugh, Hiruzen had some spirit and a sense of humour, a rare quality in most shinobi let alone a Nukenin. His criminal status did not really bother the Kunoichi in the least, even if she were to subdue him and bring him back to questioning all that would happen is she would recieve a pat on the head. It seemed an unworthy reward for selling out good company and so she would ignore her duty to capture him and instead smile mischeviously. She enjoyed being a bit of a bad girl, the wind did as it pleased and so to would she. "Well it is good to see you havent had to go out with a bang just yet, I rather like having Nukenin friemds." she said in an ironic tone.

Turning and leaning against the stone wall she took in the measure of the missing nin, his eyes were a beautiful blue and through them she sensed a joyful and strong spirit. One thing had bugged the Kunoichi for sometime, one of those small details that most people lost interest in compared to the scale of more important matters, but she had to ask. "So what's in the gourd Hiruzen-kun, water?" She knew it wasn't likely to be water. Firstly Hiruzen was from Sunagakure and there was no sloshing noises when he moved which was the most common way of knowing when one kept water inside a gourd. If it was water she'd feel like a total tool and now she needed to know to prove herself right.

A gentle but firm breeze would roll in from the bay as seagulls gave their call and flew overhead, the small bells of the chapel nearby would begin to ring sending a flock of crows rising from the steeple. This was one of Azula's favourite spots in the country, it had been given the nickname cloud falls. Indeed the clouds were fewer in the area the sun shone lazily through a clear blue sky, a perfect day to enjoy some outdoor conversation.

He came over to the wall with her, resting both his hands on top of it as she spoke. He stole a look out to the sea, enjoying the breeze that’d roll from it, the hint of salt ever present in the air. He thought it interesting she didn’t mind his nuke-nin status, and wondered if there was another reason behind it. But he brushed it off, she was like the wind after all.

Then she asked a question concerning his gourd. He smirked, it was after all, large and was often the cause of many looks he got. Yet it’s purpose was unique in that his abilities were rarely seen. Even more so outside of a certain famous clan. Glancing at her he would give what was close to a sly smile.
”No, not water. But if I am to tell you one of my secrets you must share one of yours Azula-can.”

Truly they were both interesting individuals, he with his quiet outward appearance, most of the time, and her with her wild nature and personality. However they were both so similar in their desires. Could it be Hiruzen had found a friend in this world? Not just a rival or someone to struggle against to reach his goals, but someone to help him and for his to help reach higher as well? All of that would come to be known in time. For now they would play this little game. They would discover what power each other held, and how they could use each other, nay help one another reach for their own immortality.

I posted a thread AFK section, check it to see why i've been off so long. I'll try to keep a steady pace on this man.

'Secrets....' Azula thought to herself with a lazy smile. Secrets were dangerous things, they could get you killed, get you in all sorts of trouble. There was a lot of risk with secrets yes but also a great deal of power. Azula could play this game all day long, for the few secrets she kept were close to her heart and would only be given at a heavy price. Of course she would happily toss the Suna nuke a little something, it would be worth it. "My chakra nature is Fuuton. I told you i was like the wind." she would simply say a gentle breeze blowing over them as if to support her claim, raven locks shifted in the wind like dark liquid silk.

"So, whats in the gourd" she repeated in an eager tone. A secret for a secret, finally her curiosity would be sated. She still never got the idea of gourds, far too heavy when moving even if it gave you an elemental advantage. That's why she treasured her Fuuton, she could manipulate it anywhere. Her breath could become a gale, with further training and increasing her strength she was confident her dedication to it would carry her far.

Her powers lay on the winds that she emulated then. He supposed that would have been more apparent if he’d considered it. But then again nothing was as it appeared in the shinobi world. As the wind blew across them to emphasize her power, he inhaled the sweet breeze.

The winds could be loving and gentle, but it could also shift and become deadly in a moments passing. Was his new companion like this as well? Who could be certain. She had shared and he could at least do her the courtesy of doing the same.
”I see, well I suppose I could simply tell you.. But you probably wouldn’t believe me. So I’ll show you.”

Extending his left hand and raising it a bit, as if he were holding something invisible in his hand to his side, the motion and surge of his own power triggered his control. The cork of his gourd popped out and sand spilled form the light grey gourd on his back, falling, no flowing as if it were living, to the ground and encircling Hiruzen’s feet.

The display of his sand manipulation had seldom been seen by those he didn’t intend to use against them, so he was curious to hear her thoughts of his abilities. He’d only known a few with the same grasps as he, and most of them were…. Different then he was. The Sunagami were quite popular for their control over his element, and in fact many if not most people with even knew of the ability probably thought they alone held the domain.

While he considered them powerful for their manipulation of his own element, fewer were like he was. He wasn’t a Sunagami, but a true man. His release came from the manipulation of two elements to create this power, but that was another of his secrets. For now, he wished to see his companions reactions to his revelation.
