The land of Hi no kuni had been utterly dull for the last few days Kurutteru had spent venturing about it the inimagineably huge and confusing forest. There had been the odd passer by and the occasional run in with Konoha patrols, such mild distractions however wore off quickly and once again Kurutteru was found facing an overwhelming sense of meaningless, when there was nothing to destroy, kill or cause misery she was lost. For awhile as she did she lost herself in thought, and in memories of the past.
Then with inexcplicable timing a sign was delivered to her, the next part of the game had finally revealed itself. Whilst the young kunoichi was shading in the cover of a large pine a robust looking crow landed close by with a caw. Though that was the only animal noise it emitted after that it called for a gathering, in the tongue of man. This meant a number of things, there were more survivors than thought, someone knew of Kurutteru and someone was going about the trouble after all this time to bring the clan together.
Neatly jumping to her feeet and smiling wickedly Kuru turned to face the corw messenger, bowing low in a mocking form she signalled it to lead the way. Looking at her indifferently for a moment or two before shaking it's head the bird took flight and began to ascend higher, Kuru keeping a sharp eye on it followed from the ground though Kuru got the felling this would be a long journey. 'Such fucking hassle, i wonder who's left..'
As the hours went past that so did the miles, by evening Kurutteru had followed the crow to the far edge of Hi no kuni, the direction of which led to the land of lightning, a place which Kurutteru had never personally visited but which was held with great respect in the shinobi world as one of the most powerful of the great five. No doubt there would be entertaining events there to keep her busy, not to mention it seemed a family reunion.
Nightfall came and Kurutteru having made her swiftest pace had entered the lands of kami no kuni, the moon was bright in the sky and overhead calling down to her the messenger crow cawed once more, it's call ripping through the silence of the night. Yet the night was young and Kuru had a feeling she was getting closer to her destination, soon things would be brought to life. Who knew, maybe somebody worthwhile had managed to last as long as she had, maybe he was alive still after all.
