(Ryu)Jogging pants cuffed just below the ankles, and standard Battle Armor covering the dark hoodie that masked his torso.

It was funny, I guess this guy was kinda strong after all, seeing as how I found myself jerking from the pulses of plasmid lightning that stretched underground and latched onto my form. Thankfully the battle armour (B ranked) and hooded robe (B rank) protected me from the full brunt of his lightnings power for the most part, but all of. It hadn't last long at all, but I was still stunned, but still able to move nonetheless. I emerged from the ground, adjacent to my hovering getaway bird that remained unharmed unlike its brothers which were getting shot down one after another a second a piece. I took this initiative to mount my bird despite the pain that coursed through my body while concurrently carrying me 60 meters into the air, even faster than the birds that distracted my opponent.

However, my hand mouths both clandestinely feasted upon my clay once more, finishing their molding process in just a mere 2 seconds, preceding my 10 meter ascent. By the time we ascended 15 meters my clay molded and spewed forth into my hands a portable hand held doll, one that brimmed with bakuton chakra, and one that heralded this uchiha's death. Given that all 10 of my birds precisely came in towards him a second apart, he'd have his hands full for several seconds, I was sure of this. As he diffused the last and final bird of the pack, I was already 60 meters above him, ready to unleash one of my most prodigious techniques.

Finally I dropped my handheld doll, watching it grow smaller and smaller as it plummeted aimlessly towards the ground itself. However, I wasn't that foolish, I wished not to get caught in its shock wave so as it left my hand I continued my ascent to 110 meters, which by then was a good time to allow my precious flower to blossom into a work of art as it. Finally, as it reached within a 20 meter range of the ground itself, a simple 'Katsu!' seal would beckon forth its power, spreading its shared hatred in the form of rustic flames over a distance of 50 meters. Unfortunately it had not ended there, a shock-wave followed the explosion itself, only furthering its ambit of swift death. It still wasn't over, adding insult to injury it carried the properties of a napalm, spreading sheets of fire across its range.

Was laying waste to one area worth killing a single many. . .

Kouguchi Bakuha (Evil Hand-Mouth Possession)

Special: Determines the power placed behind the clan member's clay explosions when a hand-mouth is molding clay in preparation for an explosion, as well as the range the bombs can travel away from the user before automatically detonation; explosion range varies by technique. When first learned, bombs can travel up to 10 meters away, plus 10 more with each new rank acquired.
Description: Said to be the clan member's most gross yet most fundamental power, the ability to control one's hand-mouths is the key towards victory or defeat on the battlefield. With the hand-mouth open and ready for clay, the user learns to feed it and near-instantly send their Bakuton chakra into their creation, carried by how well they can control Blast chakra. However, after a second or so, the hand-mouth spits out the user's full representation of explosive power within their clay creation, allowing the Kibaku-Nendo to proceed further with other clan techniques. As for detonation? Through the simple formation of 'Katsu' - the single seal that symbolizes standard explosive note blasts everywhere.

Special: Determines the speed at which the Kibaku-Nendo creates their explosive clay. When attempting to mold a creation of clay ranked higher than the user's highest rank in this technique, a creation time penalty is incurred in the form of a single turn for every rank the creation is above the user's highest 'Clay Infusion Point'.

Description: Though it is crucial the clan member awakens their hand-mouth in order to even have a shot at mastering the Kibaku-Nendo clan techniques, with time and practice, they can get faster and faster at making their explosions, regardless of the clay's size, shape, or rank of explosion. In the end, once the mouth grows comfortable chewing on a certain piece of ranked clay, it will surely create the next one in less time!

C3 explosions cover a 50 meter base radius. When first learned, a 10 meter shock-wave is delivered from the explosions edge, furthering the damage; each new rank attained increases the shock-wave by 10 more meters. Each new rank attained in this jutsu also determines bonus 'burning' damage delivered from blast, on top of the initial explosive power. Requires 15 standard clay blobs.
Description: The Kibaku-Nendo's most powerful large scale bomb, it is a terribly powerful use of Blast chakra that can decimate large areas almost instantly. After preparing the explosive clay for this attack into a more portable, handheld form, the miniature clay creation bares an appearance exactly the same as the larger version. Once activated, the bomb instantaneously increases its proportions before being subsequently dropped, where it extends both its "arms" outwards until they are completely horizontal. Upon contact or command, the explosion begins.

Special: Bird is two meters in wingspan. Only capable of sustaining the weight of one or two average sized people. Capable of flight. Explosion range of 5 meters in radius. Bomb can only move as far away from user as highest ranked 'Kouguchi Bakuha' known. Creation time is same as highest ranked 'Kibaku Iritsuku' known. Requires two standard clay blobs.
Description: Molding clay into a tiny bird about the size of a C1 bomb, the user can then perform a special handseal to make the the bird expand into a size in which it can hold one or two people and sustain flight. Just like C1, the user can control where the bird moves, but what differs this bird from what's created in C2, is the size and the inability to do anything other than support the user for flight and explode.

Though I remained focused and alert of the impeding threats, a fraction of my attention still remained on the boy.

I was quite aware of where and what the boy was doing, despite also being focused on the birds of clay darting after my body. My lightning had indeed hit him fully - our connection was that strong, you see - and despite such he still managed to get onto a makeshift bird, also made of clay, and take off into the air. I was only vaguely aware of people like himself with such abilities, so my knowledge was quite limited; however, it was pretty clear, even with my ignorance, what the man was up to. Despite attacking me with his birds he kept on ascending in the air, gaining such height for some particular reason or purpose - whatever it was, I knew it could not be good.

Nevertheless, I continued to take out each of his birds until there were only one or two left in my way. Instead of continuing to blow them up I turned and ran in the opposite direction, my head turned and my eyes on both the birds and the increasingly distant boy as my hands once again ran through seals. I did this with increasing precision and speed, the adrenaline that fueled my body doing well to heighten my already peaked abilities. By now the birds which had to adjust their movements to pinpoint my moving frame would once again dart towards me, but to their dismay I'd avoid them both by changing my direction at the last second - this wouldn't cease their efforts, but it no longer mattered.

Instead of continuing to run I turned around to fully view where exactly my opponent had gone to, his body and his bird almost insignificant with their increased height in the sky. Fuck, I was right. Without even giving it a second thought, or even checking if my preparation were fully complete for the matter, I spun on my heel - and continued to spin as if my life depended on it. Just as the explosion from the boy's bird erupted I was struck with lightning from the sky, the moment - less than a moment, actually - that it took for the explosion to reach me (I was 35 meters away originally - 43 now) allowing for the lightning to not only overtake my entire body, but to also engulf me in a vortex of lightning and wind fueled my unwavering spin.

It's speed was equivalent to a lightning bolt, the head of a large dragon appearing in front of me almost instantaneously. The brunt of it's power was focused there to ensure I remained unharmed; however I could still feel the shock wave and heat as they both passed over me - burning my body and knocking me backwards a great deal. Because of the grand distance between us, not to mention the height in which the explosion had transpire at, I was on the edge of the explosion - allowing me to only receive the reduced power of the blast. Regardless, even as fire seemed to battle against the volatile nature of my lightning, my technique remained strong.

I was safe - still spinning, burned, and slightly tired - but safe, for now.

Rairyuu no Tatsumaki (Lightning Dragon Tornado)

Special: User is defended by the effects of Raigeki no Yoroi, and can even absorb enemy Raiton attacks to power the dragon and restore their chakra. User must be spinning to keep dragon active. Bolts in general do not distinguish between friend or foe, and the dragon can only attack one general target at a time. Can be used once per thread, plus once more each time retrained.
Description: Similar to the ‘Lightning Armor’ technique, this jutsu allows the user to be both defended and guarded by their own lightning. After a series of seals, lightning from the sky falls onto the user in a steady stream and the user begins to spin in place rapidly, suspended slightly in the air by their own chakra. During their spin, a vortex of lightning and raging winds comes forth, birthing from the top the head of a dragon comprised purely of lightning. The dragon can attack anything within its range, either directly with a snap of its maw, or indirectly by passing next to its target and sending smaller bolts from its side. It moves at frightening speeds, faster than most shinobi specializing in speed, just as long as the user keeps spinning…

A tornado? of all things that could have stopped my C3, it was merely a tornado. I felt ashamed and weak, surviving my most artistic and prodigious explosive technique, unforgivable! The anger that swelled and curdled inside me incremented boundlessly, causing me to grow desperate to claim the life of this uchiha. I figured that if one would just die right here and now I'd have done the world justice by purging it of the impurities that this Uchiha entailed. His tornado was ferocious to say the least, I couldn't deny its defensive capabilities, but it was the mere fact that such a marvelous technique was used to protect something so impure and unclean that vexed me.

("Screw it, I'm ending this now, I'll gladly give my life to wipe this piece of uchiha shit from the earth itself, if anything my soul will be untainted.")

Watching my opponent virulently spin while mounted up my getaway bird still suspended 110 meters in the air, I removed my shirt from my torso, discarding off to the side, revealing a large, horizontal assembly line of stitches across my very chest. My fingers uplifted to both ends of the stitches, curling about as I fervently pulled away, unraveling it all as my chest itself opened, drooling with endless hunger for clay. Digging into my packs for a abundant amount of clay, specifically 20 blobs worth in just one giant ball. Shoving it in my chest's mouth, its maw began its bestial meal, finishing in just a matter of 2 seconds. Kneading the blast chakra perfectly, it coursed through my veins themselves while my flesh evanesced, leaving nothing but black stems of what used to be my internal organs.

FUCK YOU AND HIRAISHIN YOU CRIMSON EYED DUMBASS!!!"

In seconds my body condensed, reducing itself onto a mere sphere, cracking and palpitating, as a unique, angel white explosion blossomed over the entire area, swallowing up everything withing 10 Kilometers!

Kibaku Nendo • Kyuukyoyu Geijutsu • CO (Exploding Clay • Ultimate Art • CO)

Special: Explosion covers a ten kilometer region, killing the user and those around them almost instantly. Requires 20 standard clay blobs.
Description: The highest form of the Kibaku-Nendo's Exploding Clay, C0 is a suicide technique used as a last resort. After revealing the user's chest-mouth, which is stitched up, they undo them and feed it a large ball of clay. The mouth on the clab member's chest has a direct connection to their heart, so a large amount of chakra is built up near-instantly. In the process, the chest-mouth then kneads chakra directly from the meridians of the heart and keeps doing it without interruption until the moment of the explosion. Using their explosive Blast chakra manifesting itself in their veins, flowing through their body, the user condenses them into a sphere. The sphere then cracks open and detonates, producing a unique explosion that covers a ten kilometre radius. The ultimate sacrifice...

I remained spinning, yes, but my vortex of lightning no longer kept its form in front of me. Instead of continuing with it's defense it faltered and then fell completely not long after, my ability to maintain it weak in comparison to my will to survive. My predictions had been right about his abilities, as evidenced by the wide spread destruction just one of his attacks had done. However, contrary to his own assumption, I wasn't foolish enough to stick around and wait for a second attack that would probably be equivalent to the first - especially since I could no longer use my only means of defense due to the strain.

Because of that my movement ceased almost as instantly as my lightning did, the momentum of such rapid movement resulting in me losing my balance for but a moment. It wasn't enough to make me stick around though, for my body turned and took off in the opposite direction of the boy not even another moment later; his long monotone speech, though very thoughtful, wasting a good amount of time that I would be able to take advantage of. Nevertheless, as I turned my hands once again found each other, my digits intertwining as I swiftly and precisely ran through seals with utmost speed.

I could not afford to bring my body into a shunshin because of such, and even though I could already feel the chakra building within my tenketsu points, the seals were only just completed by the time I jumped after a meter or two of running. It wasn't a mere leap, nor was it chakra induced - quite simply, it was nothing more than a suicidal leap over a cliff; we were, afterall, ontop of a mountain with a drop of substantial amounts. Even with the odds of survival from such a fall near impossible, my body did not falter for even a split second as the decision was made, something I very well attributed to the adrenaline pouring through my body. It seemed to also have a profound effect on my vision for everything seemed slower, perhaps, even, clearer as well?

Even with the sudden change I still did not have even time to ponder it; instead, using the time to utilize a grand portion of the resources in my body to channel my chakra outward. It was during this time that I was hit by an explosion; its destruction power, for what it seemed, gargantuan as I could feel it even as I descended through the air like a rag doll. It wasn't the actual explosion that hit my body though; I was still hit, yes, but from the shockwave. The force of it completely amplified my descent, bringing me down to the earth even faster than I normally would have. If I hadn't prepared for this, perhaps if I hadn't anticipated such a thing, maybe then I would have been a goner. Fortunately to me, however, everything was going exactly how I wanted it to be.

All the chakra that I had gathered and focused even before I had begun running and then even jumped had been directed towards the ground. It all of it left my body instantaneously, the sheer exhaustion from it washing over me a split second before I was hit with the shockwave. Through such, my most powerful and most draining technique was birthed far below me, the features of a serpent become prominent despite it's 50 meter long body. It was fast, its ability to move not quite as swift as lightning itself, but still quite agile in it's own right. It was so large that it literally hovered over trees, allowing it to bring it's coiled body of gargantuan proportions into the air slightly to catch my descending body.

Due to it's flowing nature I was almost absorbed into it's body, the result - though better than crashing into the ground at deathly speed - resulting in me being inflicted by my own lightning. It was all my own chakra and my creation so I didn't receive the full power or brunt of it, however, it was enough to leave my body badly burned and perhaps even worse, completely unconscious. My serpent no longer needed me to sustain itself though, so I was safe - burned, unconscious and almost on the verge of death, but safe nevertheless

Just so you know I'm not pulling this mountain out of my ass:

Neither was it a large mountain and nor did it resemble any of the other ones around the place- If anything it was just a tall pedestal, there being around room to run about and fight on top of it, making it a desirable place to train, especially being this high up. However- Should you look over the edge, a drop of quite a substantial amount was clear- So you’d need to be careful not to accidentally hiraishin your way off the edge of the cliff-like border as well.

The cliff and mountain, as well as where/what it looked like, was never described so I took the liberty. Alot of sources say a piece of land has to be over 3000 ft to be considered a mountain, and considering this mountain was like a 'tall pedestal', I'd estimate the height to be a good amount over that.

Orochi Daija (Thunder Style – Zeus’ Leviathan)

Special: Summons a huge lightning serpent to destroy an area. Serpent size is determined by the user's highest 'Karain Shin' rank, and can be proportioned to the user's wish. It cannot be stopped by solid releases such as Doton due to the flowing nature of Raiton (the beast will simply reform), but releases of similar properties such as Suiton and Fuuton will easily put it down. Serpent lasts until destroyed, and can only be used once per thread, plus one more each time retrained. When destroyed, serpent explodes in a brilliant blinding flash and many small yet strong thunder bolts that shooting randomly, affecting ALL except the user for the serpent's total size.
Description: One of the strongest and hardest techniques within the Raiton series to create, this technique brings both onto the battlefield an awesomely large serpent like entity comprised of pure lightning. This colossal creature moves fast and can climb onto all forms of surfaces. The trick is that it is comprised of Raiton energy, so it doesn’t actually walk – it hovers ever so softly over anything it chooses to cross, temporarily changing the surface’s charge in order for it to be compatible with the beast. However, as large as it is, it’s rather dumb, and follows only the most basic of the user’s mental commands. Summon only at appropriate times!

Of course, during your little rendezvous with what could once be described as one of the master’s students, the master himself? Where was he? Somewhere a good distance away probably getting a bite to eat or doing something totally irrelevant to the dangerous quest you were currently undertaking- Perhaps chilling out? However, being such a far distance away and his student’s technique having spanned such a distance, it was easy to hear the explosion, really- Knowing the abilities that his protégée had, it was best guesses that he was the cause of this, and due to the sheer size of the explosion, he sorely doubted that you would be alive. With his pace currently in a sprint, he’d make his way towards where the explosion seemed to be centred in the area itself, expecting to see your dead body in a tree somewhere not far off from where the explosion occurred.

By the time he’d get there, the explosion had ceased, and he’d be free to approach the place. Of course, due to the sheer size and being quite wary of his student, he knew what had happened- The man had surely detonated himself in a final attempt to rid the world of this male that threatened to take his place. The sound of electricity surging rife in the air as he’d approach, he’d decide to keep to that sound instead of moving up the pedestal-like formation. It wasn’t exactly the hardest of problems to solve as far as following sounds went, and as the sound of static simply increased in volume, he’d know that he was getting close- But nothing really could draw him off track as far as noticing a giant electric snake above the treetops was concerned- To be honest, you could see it from far off.

It was a bit informal, really- You weren’t going to have a master who approached you carefully with words of wisdom- Or not now at least. It wasn’t really his style, and from what he could see past the form of the giant electric snake, you seemed to be quite the state- ragdoll like in how you fell upon it, surely you’d need some patching up- ”Now is no time to be a victim- Come on!” surely you could be starved of your chakra reserves- Or perhaps, some degree of them, but he wanted you to push on- He had done the same in his youth of course, so why shouldn’t you? Keeping his eyes locked on you, arms crossed and his figure almost seething with authority, he’d wait for you to move your sorry ass.

But how would you get down from the trees?

You’d have to find that out yourself.

However- no more would be said upon him at this stage- The message was clear; He wanted you down from those trees and out of that snake now- But how would you make your descent? First you’d need to deactivate the snake then—fall..? And grab on to any tree that you could find yourself luckily falling upon? It was all quite a complicated process, and you’d need to sort out what you were going to do- seeing as you weren’t exactly in the best condition of your life, falling and potentially breaking limbs wouldn’t allow you to progress in this quest- He’d probably send you back to the inn for Dabora to take care of you. But as far as choosing how you’d descend back to earth- Could the electric snake help you travel back to the ground? It was all your moves from now on, and the master was very much keen on seeing what you would do.

I couldn't hear him, honestly. My mind, not only impacted by such a fall and the sudden collision of my body into my lightning serpent, completely shut off - leaving my thoughts raging, yet completely plunging myself into blackness. Even as much as I wanted to fight it I couldn't, the grasp that unconsciousness had over my body was too strong to resist. All the build up from fighting over the many years seemed to hit me all at once, there was nothing I could do about it even if I wanted to. I was pretty much about to completely give up when the voice of another rang through my mind. It wasn't scolding or intimidating, unlike the voices I was used to hearing due to my schizophrenia.

Soratsu! It seemed familiar, far too familiar despite it not being a result of my mental disease. Frankly, it very much could have been; however, there was something about it that seemed to re-energize me. It was only after my name was repeated several times that I finally realized who it was through all the darkness - it was my only remaining sibling still alive to this day, Youka. She was still calling for me, her voice and her appearance - once I finally got through all the blackness in my head - resembling that of her five year old self. Like her voice the memory was quite familiar; so familiar, in fact, that even through the years I had never once forgotten about this moment.

T'was because of that, and that alone, that I found myself regaining consciousness as my mind reeled to collect itself. I didn't know where I was or even what had happened, but I recognized the substance I remained within. "... What?" I was no longer unconscious but I still could not move, or even, for the matter, feel my body at all. Everything was just completely numb, a result most likely coming from the shock my body was still in as well as my technique. The only thing I could muster was but a simple command within my head, the lightning spitting out a bolt of lightning from it's maw in response. With careful precision it reshaped it's entire body, pushing me out from it's center as it lowered itself closer to the ground.

It was only after I hit the cold surface of the ground did I finally completely wake up; the movement of my arm, though slow and lagged, ascending to touch my face following suit. I couldn't quite explain it, but everything seemed different - both in appearance and actuality. Everything seemed.... clear.

Chakra: Very High, Low per turn
Special: Pierces Genjutsu (illusion control) and Taijutsu (movement prediction) 'A' rank and under. For avoiding incoming attacks, the Uchiha's speed and agility will greatly control whether they can move to avoid it.
Description: The final normal evolution to Sharingan, the third tomoe fits symmetrically with the rest by creating a perfect triangular existence around the pupil. An eye containing three tomoe will allow the ninja to see the image of an attacker’s next move from the slightest muscle tension in their body, in the form of a quickly processed mental premonition. This prevents wasteful movement and allows the Uchiha to conserve much needed chakra in battle. It allows them to synchronize their movement to strike at an area moments before their opponent is even in that spot, essentially allowing them to strike out and hit their opponent before they're even there. Best of all, three tomoe also grants the Uchiha the ability to cast unique genjutsu and incur deep hypnosis after locking eyes with an enemy. This can be used to cause their opponent to do an attack of the Uchiha's choosing, or simply to force them to endure endless torture.

The form of the lightning snake having seemingly dissipated as it dropped you somewhat elegantly on the floor, the Hiraishin master, squatting down a little with his eyes staring at you, seemed to be at least a bit content that you had managed to make your way to the ground without having too much damage dealt to you. But despite this gentle return back to earth, you were surely broken, and although he was impressed with how much beatings you’d taken from him and from the creature you had created (As it must have been quite a feat in itself simply to form the snake) the matter that you were currently injured quite badly was something of importance, and continuing to lean over you and looking at your sorry corpse, he’d keep watching you murmur to yourself- Of course, standing the opposite way to your head, his shadow was over you slightly, but at this time of day and within a forest of this size, it would be hard to tell where his shadow begun and the trees’ started.

However, until you’d seem to cry out in silent agony over where he had gone, the master would roll his eyes, being strangely lax in a situation where you could potentially have broken each and every bone in your body along with having damaged nerves. ”Old? Geez, man, I’m only 28.” he’d say with a somewhat jokey tone, as if he was trying to turn this situation around from deadly serious to more.. light. However; He was unaware of the changes to your eyes and very being that had occurred during this fight, and to say the least, he was more than happy to leave you here really by yourself, but that would be cruel. ”He roughed you up a bit then, didn’t he- Can you move at all?” he’d ask- You had voiced the fact that you couldn’t move, but just to be sure- He didn’t really want to carry you back, but if worst came to worst, he’d have to.

And you had better be damn proud of being held in the arms of a man of his calibre.

But before he’d go ahead to do such a thing, he’d wait for you response, his right index finger going forwards and poking you on the arm a single time before drawing back again and waiting for you reaction- He was pretty sure that you were alive since you’d only spoken a moment or so ago, but whether or not you were capable to go on with this quest- That was another problem, he didn’t want to have to be looking after you for the next day or so since you had a little tumble- You had already shown your ability by making his last student resort to that technique, so what more were you capable of? Sadly for you, in these mountains there were no medical shinobi to help you, and he was pretty sure that you didn’t have the ability to do so or you would have healed yourself by now- So what more was there to do? His golden eyes staring down at you, waiting was the only thing right now.

”Sora- Get up.” he’d finally say after a further two minutes more of waiting- It was in his nature to have patience, but having only taught two people, you being the second (And right now, the master was doubting having even taken you on) he wasn’t used to.. this.

Anything older than me was old, even if he only preceded me by eight years. Still, though, it was a good thing to hear his voice - I would take his over his suicidal previous prodigy's any day. Even though I still couldn't feel a single thing on my body - though I was still aware that I was most likely critically injured - I forced my head to turn as I looked at the ol' man. Indirectly, he had been the cause of all this even happening, but I still did not hold any ill-will towards him; afterall, that narrow escape from such a grand scale explosion did much to further my resolve in learning the master's art.

Oh how it would have been handy had I learned it beforehand! "This would not have happened if he wasn't so obsessed with you." I answered in response to his comment about the boy 'roughing' me up. The fight had only lasted half a minute at most, and yet the boy had found it fit to completely detonate himself in an attempt to stop me from taking his place. It was jealousy at it's finest - what did the ol' man really see in him, anyways? "Anyways, I'm as good as done for now. My chakra pool is completely empty, I'm not sure how I'm even conscious right now."

Even with my words I attempted to move my body, the outcome being nothing but pure pain running along my spine. How shitty this was. The last time I was this injured I was hospitalized for a good two weeks; it was, arguably, the worst two weeks of my life. "Thats easier said than done, I can barely move my head." I paused, deactivating my sharingan which I hadn't even realized had been active until I looked at the old man. It didn't do so much as to give me back my previously wasted chakra, but it relieved the stress that was being put on my brain.

"Use your little.... trick to get me out of here, you never did show me how it worked anyways."

It did make him somewhat more content that you were actually replying to him, but it didn’t avoid the fact that you probably needed to heal up for a while before you could do much more. But, you weren’t dead, and that was always a good thing, really. Right now he wasn’t really in the mood to drag a body along the forest until he could find a suitable place to put it- He had never been in a situation like that before, and seeing as his last student seemingly destroyed himself, there was little that the master could do to find all of the bits of his body- Or, he couldn’t really be bothered. It might seem as if he was being disrespectful to him, but in all honesty, the guy creeped him out a bit with how forwards he was with learning Hiraishin- Sure enough you were the same, but time had turned Ishi in to a monster, and one, really, that he was glad he was now rid of. But; he daren’t say that to you, or he’d seem like a bit of a prick.

”You had a worthy opponent.” Of course, it didn’t meant that he wasn’t good at fighting- the master knew the abilities of his past student well, and although he had, somewhere inside him assumed that he’d use that technique some day, he would have never guessed that it was in a situation such as this one. ”We’ll go back to our camp- Or I could leave you here for the animals.” he’d say, his words almost sounding as if he was serious for a few minutes- Of course, he could be a bit of a dick at times but the man was injured, and if it was something that was strong within the master, it was his morals when it came to helping injured people, never before had he left someone in such a condition as Sora’s at the moment, and never was he hoping to do so. And so on that note, and yet without caring if he was hurting him or not, the black haired male would pick you up with both of his arms- You’d be too weak to go against this.

But why should you? He was taking you back after all.

And of course, with the knowledge of Hiraishin imbued in his mind and tags laying on top of the mountain, that spot having been a constant place of training for both himself and his students- Or, student as it was now, travelling would be easy. With but a burst of chakra from the master himself as the technique would take place, you’d soon find yourself out of the treatcherous forest of Kaminari no kuni, and up on the top of the mountain once more, the breeze flowing through your hair- You did look like a mess after all, and right now luckily for you he didn’t care all that much about appearances, but whether or not you were capable of going on- Now that was a question that he was interested in hearing the answer about. You being injured at the moment, he didn’t want to have to take you back, so surely your training would take place even with broken bones in your body.

”So are you still ready to move on?” he’d ask you in regards to the training and the fact that you were pretty much fucked at the moment as far as your able body was concerned. ”I’ll give you until tomorrow morning to heal up. We’re starting then, no matter if you have blood pouring out of your mouth or open wounds on your back.” he’d tell you with a voice of authority- Having demanded this he was now expecting you to go on and get up at least- Pushing yourself was something that you’d have to do in order to learn Hiraishin, and he wanted to see you do it now, even if it meant more strain on your body. On the small pedestal, some 60 meters away, surprisingly undamaged by the explosion lay three tents, one white, one black, and the other yellow, although all three looked weather-worn. Would you continue on this quest? Or was this poor little fight of yours too much for you to handle what was in store for you next? ”Either get in the black tent and rest up, or leave. Your decision.” he had spoken, his word was law;

I really did not like how light the old man seemed to be, especially considering I almost died fighting a boy that seemed head over heels for him. I didn't retort his comment though, I was far too weak and mentally exhausted to muster the needed words for such. Instead, I allowed him to pick up my near dead body, cringing at the pain that resulted from such. He hadn't answered me in regards of whether or not he would actually use his fabled art with me tagging along, but I didn't have to wait that long for me to find out. I could feel as his body tensed up - from what I assumed was him forcing his chakra out - and then as the scenery changed completely.

It was like being thrown through a warp hole, my insides reeling at the sudden pressure from what seemed like reality itself. It only lasted a moment for the technique was instantaneous; one second we were below on ground level, the next we were back on top of the mountain. Even though several minutes had passed since the explosion it was still quite difficult to see through the mass of smoke, the smell of gun power of sorts, which was mostly mixed with the smell of the boy's non-existent, catching me off guard as I coughed suddenly and hard. Fortunately for me, despite all my injuries, my cough was clean of blood.

"Move on now? Really?" To say I was surprised at his impatient words would be lie, I quite expected him to push me past my limits - even if those said limits had already been pushed by a six mile long explosion. No matter, I would be fine regardless; I'd have plenty of time resting once I was equally as proficient in the Hiraishin art as he was. "Tch. You won't be getting rid of me that easy, old man." I would have scoffed but it hurt too much to even think about it. "Let me down here, I'll be fine." A lie of course, but I refused to be further helped by another such as himself. Carrying me this far was enough, if he carried me all the way to the tent that would be downright disrespectful.

Assuming he would oblige, as well as further assuming he'd let me down and still offer some sort of support at first, I'd attempt to walk on my own. I failed at first, falling face first into the debris left by the explosion. However, without even breaking a thought I found myself getting up, and I forged my own path forward not long after. I couldn't walk to my best ability, stumbling here and there as I tried to make it through the 60 meters without thinking, but I finally made it after a lot of wasted effort. After all the trouble I went into the black tent just as he had instructed, opening it fully before fully diving head first into the make shift bed that awaited me.

I didn't bother checking my wounds or even cleaning myself up, instead, I passed out almost instantly. Never before in my life had I welcomed sleep as earnestly as I did right now. Frankly, I'd even be surprised if I woke up by the next day.

"So close."

And I was gone - out like a fuse box in the midst of a lightning storm. How befitting.

[TIMESKIP TO MORNING]

ALERT: ..Had something shifted in to your tent in the middle of the night? You’d have been too shattered from the fight to notice..

You would soon be awoken, not to the sound of some kind of alarm or the smell of frying bacon, but instead, the chirping of birds, which were annoyingly close to your tent. If you were to open your eyes, you’d notice a faint light behind the black of the tent that you were currently sleeping in- or, passed out in. Of course with no kind of clock in the tent itself it would be impossible to tell what the time was, so your best bet would be to get up out of the tent and take a look outside. You were far away from home comforts here- With only the clothes on your back and no other amenities that the majority of people take for granted, it was sure that once you stepped off this mountain, if you didn’t do so with the ability of Hiraishin in your mind, you’d have a newly found respect for the basic things that the majority of people had.

With the sound of birds chirping still close to you, it was obvious that no-one was awake since surely they would have flown away if there was any detectable movement. Five minutes would pass, and after that time, the sudden frantic sound of birds wings flapping away would be heard as the sound of their call growing fainter and fainter in to the distance, as steps could be heard outside- Someone was awake, that was for sure, and seeing as the other guy sort of did a kamikaze move that failed bitterly, the only other available option was that it was the Hiraishin master himself; Unnamed at the moment, you had come to call him Old man, a name which he wasn’t too fond of, but he had been called worse things in the past.

Walking about some more, should you exit the tent you’d see him on the ground, doing what would appear to be a spot of meditation before whatever training regime that you were going to face. Of course, although he was used to teaching things by now, meditating was a keen pastime of his, and he was a believer that it did help balance both the body and the soul. It might have been a load of rubbish, but it was nice that people did believe in things thesedays. Staying silent, he’d keep his position by meditating, before swiftly taking out a average kunai from his weapons belt; Should you not have exited the tent by then, his hand would draw back, and throw it with supreme speed towards the fabric of the tent, it surely going straight past the first layer before embedding itself within the back of it, above where your head would have been laying. It was just a way to say wake up, really.

Sleep hadn't felt so grand until today. I hadn't awakened or even stirred throughout the entire night, rather I had remained in the same position I had collapsed in - weary of the fact that I was virtually defenseless due to everything that had happened. I was so far into my sleep that I could completely recall what was happening in my dreams. Much like I had when I had been unconscious within my lightning serpent, I dreamed about my family and everything revolving around us in the past. We were happy, within a time of peace, and most importantly together - now, everyone was dead aside from myself and Youka.

I could still hear her vaguely yelling my name on her first day at the Academy within Sungakure. She was around five years old whilst I was eight, too cool - so I thought - to be hanging around my little sister. All I could remember was me turning my back on her as her sensei's took her inside, not even offering her a good bye hug on one of the most important days of her life. Now she was the Kazekage of one of the most powerful nations - or so I thought - and I was nothing but a vagabond; look how well that turned out. As everything faded to black once more, the sound of chirping birds became evident within my mind. Was I going crazy?

"Shit." I awoke with a start, the sweat the occupied every inch of my body lingering to my clothing as I forced myself into an upwards position. The pain wasn't as bad as it had been last night, but it nothing less than cringe worthy. Still, I found myself standing within the tent not long after - my eyes searching for any extra clothing as I sought something to hold my body up. Luckily enough there was an extra pair of pants within the corner of the tent, and without even thinking about whether or not they were mine, I put them on in exchanged for my own burned ones.

Once that was done, using bandages I had kept within my pouch for safe keeping, I wrapped them around my entire frame - sparing only my countenance. Truthfully, I looked like a mummy, but I honestly did not care even remotely. "Yo, old man." I'd speak upon leaving the tent, the kunai found within his finger tips not failing to be missed. It was clear what he intended to do with it, so I shuddered at the thought. "I'm guessing we will start where we left off" In truth, they hadn't gotten anywhere when that boy had interrupted them both; however, I thought it was best to never mention what had occurred yesterday again.

"I'm ready when you are."

I sat down with that, fighting through the pain as I crossed my legs and mimicked him. It was obvious then, after my mind actually thought it over, that I wouldn't be leaving here anytime soon. Awesome.

With his figure, almost the same as yesterday except for the fact that he had obviously changed his clothes, he being in some kind of a formal suit now, a white shirt with black trousers and jacket and a matching black tie, he’d look on at you with the kunai twirling around his index finger as he’d wait for you to fully come out of the tent, your appearance similar to that of a mummy- In all truths you looked like a jackass but he wasn’t that prude to tell you that you did- It really did seem as if you’d been beaten up quite badly from the fight, but to say the least it was all that he expected from one of his longest students. He had been up on the mountain for months- Almost a year, although his ability with Hiraishin hadn’t blossomed as he hoped your own ability would bloom. All the waiting had taken a toll on him, and obviously he had been thinking some negative thoughts to learn that technique.

As you called him old man, he couldn’t help but respond with a sarcastic comment in order to flatten the terrain between you to and make sure that you knew that he was on a higher level. ”You look like a tool.” he’d say simply as he’d gaze over at you, one eye closed as he’d do so, although his tone appeared not to be annoyed, but instead somewhat entertained by the amount of damage that you had received as he attempted to gauge the amount of harm you had suffered through that single battle. Of course, it seemed that the determination to survive was strong within you, so that was always a good thing, seeing as you both were seated upon a cliff- However, to make things a bit more interesting, the master would rise just as you’d sit down just to piss you off, and he’d walk towards the cliff edge, sitting down on it, cross legged as he had done so before.

Surely he’d ask you to do the same.

”If you were to assume what we were going to do- What would your answer be?” he’d ask curiously, wondering what he thought they were going to do first before they could even start. With a slight pause, the master’s mouth still open somewhat between the words that he spoke, he’d add on some more; ”I’m going to teach you in the same way that I was taught.” he’d say, giving the fact that he was teaching you a little bit more depth than well, just teaching you. The method he was going to use had been one that was used for generations of hiraishin users, and surely, if you managed to pass the trials which were in front of you, you’d be able to claim victory and be known as the newest generation of users as well- Which was quite interesting really.

But how easy would this be? Surely, when you first met the guy he seemed like a bit of wimp perhaps but now that you were in his territory, his smirks were wider, and his confidence extremely high as far as teaching went- Sitting on the edge of the cliff, it was easy to say that he had done this dozens of times in the past, or he had no fear at all. Did you have either of those qualities? He was unsure as of now, but as a start to the quest he was still waiting your answer on what you thought you’d do during the training regime in order to learn this fabled technique. ”So he really went ahead and blew it, didn’t he.” oh, he was speaking about his last student.. W-was he trying to be funny? Or was he just innocently saying it without knowing what he had just said? With his tone it steered more towards the latter- ”He set the bar. I want you to rise above it.” with a grin after his words, both of his eyes would then close, sitting on the edge-

That was... blunt, to say the least. I really didn't expect anything less from the old man, even after seeing me on the verge of death after falling down the full scale of a mountain, he didn't falter not even slightly. He remained aloof, almost as if nothing surprised him anymore. Nevertheless, he was right: I refused to die by such an insignificant means without completing my goals. T'was really the only thing that kept my resolve so strong, honestly. "I'd rather be a tool than old." I'd retort, laughing while completely knowing how much he hated being described as such.

Frankly, if he had just told me his name from the beginning I would have never adopted it from his former pupil. Regardless, I would get up just as fast as a sat down, following him as he ventured towards the cliff and once again sat down. I know he was doing this out of pure enjoyment of my pain, but I didn't bother indulging his entertainment by actually reacting to it. "Honestly, I still have no idea how exactly you do what you do. Makin' assumptions now would just be premature." I spoke, my hands falling behind my head as my fingers fumbled through my hair. "Though if I was to really guess, I'd assume this cliff and the large fall has something to do with the training."

That was obvious, at least. However, knowing the old man and his tendencies to laugh at my pain, there was probably a hidden agenda. "If this is some exercise to prove if my mind and body can handle such a fall, that ship has long since sailed." Even though the fall yesterday had left me in such bad shape, I wasn't afraid to make it again if it meant learning Hiraishin. That was the only thing that was important now, everything else was just secondary.

”Heset the bar. I want you to rise above it.”

Dismissing your banter, you should count yourself lucky that you had a young master who was willing to see jokes as jokes and nothing more than that. Should ti have been someone more.. serious, then surely he would have kicked you out of this whole thing right now. His relaxed attitude surely allowed you to get away with many a thing, but the thing was; Due to his lax nature, it was hard to tell where the line was- And for that reason, who knew what he acted like when he was annoyed? Surely something terrifying. ”So you have no guesses? Not even a little guess? Well that’s disappointing.” he’d tell you by shaking his head as he stared down the great drop that was on the side of the cliff edge, as he awaited for you to sit down next to him to begin whatever training that he had in mind for today. Of course, seeing as you were currently situated on quite a dangerous cliff, who knew what could happen.

However- Your next response seemed to make him nod his head, as it seemed that you had gotten at least something right already- The drop indeed, was quite a vital part to what he was going to teach you, and with both of your legs dangling down the side, should you fall- Your body would be broken in to pieces. Of course not the same could be said for his own as he surely had a way out based on the innate ability that he held and you so craved to have. ”We’re going to speak about speed- If I was to say; Push you off the side of this cliff, assuming you hadn’t known beforehand, how quickly would you be able to sort out the situation to assure that you didn’t plummet to your death?” he’d ask; Basically, if he pushed you off, how fast would you react to make sure that you didn’t hit the floor? It was important to work on your strengths, that was sure, but reaction time was vital in regards to Hiraishin- Without it, it wouldn’t be that.. impressive in battle.

”As you know, Hiraishin is both to do with speed in appearance, but the way you use it in and outside battles- Reaction time is imperative. So if I pushed you off this cliff; Would you flail about and get yourself crushed or would you instantly, upon noticing that you were falling, plan on a way to save yourself?” of course, the drop was pretty steep, the trees almost like little blades of grass from the height that you both were currently at- And yet at the moment, your life potentially lay on the line as you stood so frightfully close to the edge, although the black haired master showed no signs of being scared of what might happen should he fall. Were you? With his head turned towards you and his yellow eyes peering at you, he’d wonder the same.

A pause would occur before he’d then begin to speak once more as he’d just listen to you speak; ”It’s not exactly that, but moreso the idea that it’s both the technique and your mind you need to take in to accordance when learning this technique. You can’t just depend on skills; You need brains too. Although, seeing as you lived past him, I’m sure you’ve got plenty.” he’d say, although with some kind of a doubting tone at the end, as if he was simply messing with you- Although in all seriousness, he wasn’t expecting you to be that intelligent- Not that he thought he was better than you, but he was older, hence why he believed that be had more experience as a shinobi, and as a person. Looking back down at the drop and leaning over a little bit to get a better look, he’d then turn his head back at you;

”So- As I was meaning to ask before Ishi stepped in- Do you have experience with Shunshin techniques?”
