From what I could see- There was quite some destruction, or at least I was sure that anyone could tell that something had been here, a large beast of some kind? A monster?- A bijuu?- No, the idea of it was simply.. insane. They had been wiped out years ago, right? Or so I had heard. During my time in Kusagakure she had been more fussed with my patients and my own problems rather than having time to think of not only the war, but the Bijuu too- Ancient beasts of supremacy, I did envy the amount of raw power that they had, but at the same time, they couldn’t be controlled and manipulated that easily unlike some people I’d met in the past. But- This destruction- it couldn’t have possibly been one.. right? [/ul][/ul]

With this puzzling on her mind, she’d simply tread among the wreckage, tip-toeing past the destruction that befell the area, the little trees there having been destroyed and the earth itself had seen better times. So she had come to Kaminari.. for this? It was bad of her to feel such emotions but she hoped that whatever beast or human had caused this power, they hadn’t attacked the village of Kumo- Not because she felt sorry for those within it but because she had important business there soon that she needed to take care of. This matter of this monster that had been here, human or animal, or bijuu, couldn’t get in her way that easily. Looking around her, she was sure that the village was fine- Although she didn’t know where the village was marked on the map, it was probably a fair distance away from this area or she would have seen Kumo shinobi on the way around.

So, simply walking around the place and examining with destruction had been made, I’d take in to consideration just how big this thing must have been- Its size was fearsome, and apparently, so was its means of attacks.

[/i] in my decisions back then and the way that I saw things- I had grown stronger through this, and seeing the wreckage around me couldn’t help but remind me quite vividly of my day to day life back in Kusagakure during the war itself as a medic within the hospital- The work was draining, but I was happy about the experience that I got through working there- Of course there was a darker element to it, but I dismissed it.[/ul][/ul]

FLASHBACK COMMENCING!

It had been a long day for the village, that was for sure. Break-ins had occurred at various points around the place, and the medics had the brunt of the damage in the shape of countless shinobi having wounds dealt to them by the attackers. Of course the village shinobi managed to apprehend them and some were killed right on the spot, but others had managed to get away. At the moment things weren’t going that well, and to make matters worse, the blonde medic in room #42 wasn’t feeling great at the moment- Known for her flaring temper, this was one of those times where she tried her best to contain it, but both the feeling of nausea and the number of patients spiralling out of control, there wasn’t a doubt that she was stressed at the moment.

If one was to enter, there would be slight panic, three patients in the room instead of the normal one, which enraged her a little bit. Of course it had to be done as they were getting a silly amount of patients because of the attacks, but they could have at least given them one more medic to make sure that things worked smoothly. With only the blonde and another medic of whom she was quite friendly with, they seemed to be getting stuff done quite smoothly but at the same time it was quite a challenge, and it was obvious to the both of them that they needed a little bit more help. Of course they weren’t exactly amateurs, but with the amount of patients and the severity of some of the wounds, it was hard to keep track of everyone- and even moreso with other medics running about like lost little children.

[/i] one”[/b][/color] I’d tell her in my usual soothing tone, indicating towards the only male in the room, who had injured his arm- It was time to start.[/ul][/ul]

[/i] bit slow with her work though, she was new to the job and I understood that, as I had been in the exact same position before. Of course currently having just turned 18 I had been in the hospital helping for years upon years- I couldn’t exactly remember the time when I hadn’t been a medical ninja, really. Despite my age, I was very intelligent.[/ul][/ul]

With healing hands induced in her hands she’d place my hands over the right leg of the female that she was healing, who seemed to have had several large shards of glass embedded within her skin- It wasn’t a very nice sight to see with all of the wounds that it had caused but it was cleaned up a little bit now, and all that needed to be done was heal it a bit more. Of course with her medical prowess it became much easier than Toriko would find it, the wounds closing up quite quickly unlike the work that she had done in her youth- Her skills managed to make the cuts on her leg disappear as the skin moulded back to its original form, there still being dried blood on the surface where they had been, but the wounds said blood had come from in the first place now nonexistent. It was magical, really, and Blanche found it especially so- She had been studying it all her life, after all.

So, with that patient done she’d then heal up any other little cuts that she may have had, and would then discharge her immediately- The woman had enough strength and energy that was for sure as she appeared to be quite relaxed during the whole process, just the glass in her leg had been a bother to her. A strong kunoichi she had only been hindered when it effected her movements, but now she was fine she could go. Stepping off the bed, Blanche would nod her head and wish her luck, before moving on to the next patient who seemed to be in a much worse state than the other- With a flack jacket stained with blood I’d remove it revealing the shirt underneath covered even more so in the same crimson liquid- It would take some time to heal this one, that was for sure. Using her healing hands again, the blonde would draw her palms over the place where the wounds were, helping usher her back to health.

Bringing my hand to my mouth quickly, dispelling the healing hands technique I’d contemplate whether to vomit or not, my back arching, before the feeling passed. ”Whew.” I’d release this happy sigh, before then snapping back to work as I’d lower my hands back down on the wounds, as the green light would shroud my movements again, healing the wounds that could be found on the body of the woman- I’d go to the restroom after this shift.[/ul][/ul]

FLASHBACK!

Unfortunatley for me, there had been gallons upon gallons of blood pumping in the very area even after my shift had been done, the smell thick in the hospital- Or maybe it was just me imagining things. Nonetheless, on my way to the restroom I’d look outside, seeing a few damaged buildings from the recent attacks that had taken place- The hospital had been a bit trashed, but nothing of value had been taken, so we were fine for now. Shaking my head I’d then raise my right hand and push a thick strand of blonde hair from my face before then looking towards my destination as my steps hurried a little bit to reach the place- Of course I didn’t care seeing blood, it was the smell that turned me sick, and was my only bother with it. Having a nose peg would surely make me the laughing stock of the hospital- Perhaps I could make a technique that dealt with blocking the sense of smell..

Pushing through the doors, I could but wonder about what was happening outside the hospital- Of course I did get out, I had breaks and I didn’t sleep there of course- I went home every night and came back in the morning, but I hadn’t much information on what happened elsewhere- As far as I knew this escalating war was taking place in other villages rather than mine, but I was swiftly returned to reality each time I heard an explosion somewhere in the village; And then the bodies came in. Alive, dead, alive, dead- It didn’t matter what state they were in, it simply showed the effects the war was having on the small village. We hadn’t that many people in the first place, or not as much as other major villages.

Subtlety entering a cubicle, I’d soon approach the almost sterilized toilet that was in front of me, and I’d kneel down carefully before hovering my head slightly above the bowl, and wait- I had always had this problem with blood, I could have had any weakness in the world- Peanut allergy, athsmatic, but no- My head always lowered at certain scents- That was just me, though. I suddenly felt pressure in the bottom of my throat and I’d heave, others in the restroom probably thinking I had stuck two fingers down my throat or something on purpose, seeing how casually I had walked in.

Ignoring that I’d then, with my eyes having once been closed, open them once more to see the bowl not filled with vomit but instead- pure Blood.

My heart rate increasing I’d feel the thumping in my head, looking down at my hands to see them covered in flecks of red- I wasn’t scared of blood no- But the quick coming of it had disturbed me, causing me to heave once more, this time with less grace than I’d hoped. And then- Once all was done I’d look back down at my hands and the bowl to see- nothing. Not even the contents of my stomach- Just water. It was.. strange to say the least- I was sure that I had seen- Looking from my hands back to the bowl then back to my hands, I’d then shakily bring myself back to my feet using the walls as support, and I’d expel a single breath whilst pulling the chain, before exiting and coming back to the sink, rubbing my hands profusely with the liquid from the soap dispenser, before then washing them thoroughly, eyeing my appearance in the mirror-

I had paled quite notably, but that would change back to normal quite soon. Hurryingly making my exit, I’d leave with questions unanswered, and make my way back to the ward.

Walking across the hallways towards the room I had past been stationed in, I’d watch to see the other members of staff help wheel a few beds in to the once empty room- Elegantly shifting past the person who was standing in the middle of the door, I’d enter the room and look about to see Toriko begin healing, looking over at me with a puzzled expression, probably questioning why my face suddenly grew four shades whiter in the space of a few minutes. ”Are you alright? You look a bit pale.” the question would be asked, and I would reply to it as quickly as she had asked the question itself, with certainty towards the end of my words. I was alright- But whatever had caused that illusion back there had creeped me out a bit. ”I’m- I’m alright- Let’s get working, alright?” I’d tell her with a smile as my legs would bring me towards one of the first patients that the shift brought- I wouldn’t be too long with this one, seeing as on the papers by him it only spoke of a broken arm. Getting my healing hands out once more, I’d apply the technique to the arm in question, mending it within minutes.

Of course with so many people entering the hospital on stretchers, it amazed me that I hadn’t operated on anyone that I had known yet. It was quite a shock to me, really, as I had seen so many people during the past few years. Of course the matter of my father being in the hospital had been brought up a few weeks ago but with a sprained ankle there was little for me to cry about. He was back home now, having gone back moments after finishing healing him- He was alright. But of course there was a constant pang of fear in the back of my mind that instilled the fact that he was out there fighting outside the village and to say the least, many a time I had worked myself up, terrified that he’d be the next patient that I would have to tend to. With many shinobi dying every day it was up to medics like me and Toriko to save the lives of loved ones, and I did do my best to save people using the techniques I had.

But the fear still creeped up- Each time I’d enter a room to start a shift or even gaze in to a room I’d be reminded of the person that risked his life every day outside the village, wondering or not if he was alright and expecting to see his russet coloured hair covered by a sheet- Of course I would have rather fight with him, I was fully capable of doing so, but circumstances meant, and he had told me that he felt I’d be safer inside the confines of the hospital itself and the rest of the village. He had been true but- Like any other lover on earth I was concerned for him- I was concerned for us- A ring within my coat pocket, I was to get married at some point in the next year- In secret, and the glistening of the small gem reminded me of him greatly- Not that I didn’t think of him anyhow, of course. My mind spacing off, I’d soon drag myself back to reality, and continue my work.

A groan of pain being emitted from my current patient, a male of 46 who had suffered burns on his chest and face from a katon user, my words would be soothing; ”It’s alright- Don’t worry. You’re safe now.” I’d whisper in the softest of tones, my angelic appearance fitting what I had just said- Of course it would probably make them wonder whether or not they haddied and ascended to heavens with the angels, but, as long as it soothed them a little it would be alright- My hands held down softly over the figure, I’d keep healing, waiting until the burns disappeared, leaving his skin traceless of any signs of what had past been there.

I’d keep my hands over the burn patient as my healing hands would regress the injury and restore the condition of the skin in the manner it had originally been in, before I was soon done, the speed that I used rivalling no other medics within my division in the hospital- There were those better than me, that was for sure, but I aimed to be better than them soon. I wanted to make my name known as head of the medical field in Kusagakure- I had been told that I had enough potential and from my division I was probably the most suitable candidate once the current head retired from his place. I however took this with a grain of salt as of now- I knew I was good, but I wasn’t as good as a few other medics from other fields. Of course there was nothing like a bit of friendly rivalry, but my mind craved knowledge- I had always been like that.

Having finished with the next patient I’d soon go over to the next, placing my hands on the arm of the patient as I’d look down to see-

My hands covered in blood once more after making contact with the patient, the same scent would haunt me again, drowning all of my other senses ”..What’s wrong?” as I had the urge to heave once more, making it quite obvious to the other medic in the room that something was wrong as I arched back again, being unable to place my hands to my mouth due to the blood on my hands, so ”Answer me- Are you OK?” I simply bit down on my lip instead to refrain anything from happening. Looking down at the patient once more instead of the figure of the woman I was supposed to be healing- it had warped in to a man- ”….!” and a familiar one too, face unsettled and deathly pale with eyes rolled back and a gaping wound on his left cheek- Knowing full who the figure was I’d then stumble backwards in my heels as my face bore a horrified expression, tears flowing from my eyes.

Having suppressed the urge enough already, I soon broke the trend and found the feeling in my throat bubbling up once more as I simply looked at the figure, unable to say anything as I just kept walking backwards- "-I'm sorry..!" The eyes of the body once closed then opened fiercely with rancorous eyes of hazel and stared at me, and I struggled to contain myself- Darting out of the room I then hardly managed to make it to the rest room in time and unlike last time I didn’t care about losing the door- Almost wallowing in self pity I emptied the contents of my stomach and simply stayed there for a few more moments, scared to open my eyes just in case I was to be plagued with another twisted scene in front of me. Being there for a few more moments it allowed me to regain what little composure I had left before that incident, the eyes of all things haunting me, and the smell- Should someone had looked they’d see what little makeup I had on flowing down my face, but only before I’d then bring my hands up and wipe my eyes.

Of course this made it worse but I didn’t care- blindly moving my right arm to find a tissue from the dispenser I’d then rub it on my closed eyes, before then opening them, reality hitting me hard as I’d look around, my senses returning to me quite vividly- I had thrown up, that was for sure, and without even checking for visual proof, I’d then flush the chain, and simply sit in the cubicle for a further few minutes- I’d leave. That was the best to do- For today anyhow. I wasn’t well, and I had gotten ill of these.. sights that I was seeing. The last one had been the worst- my very nightmare having been played in some kind of sick drama manner, I only got to see him when his job as a fighter permitted it, which wasn’t very often- To see him in this condition back in the village was.. horrible. It made me physically sick, and seeing how there was a nasty scent in the washroom now, it proved it.

Rising up, I’d then wash my hands once more, and my face with some tissues, then making my way to the secretary of the hospital, explaining my leave- Not the part where I was sick of course, just that I didn’t feel well. Not wanting to spread any illnesses to the already sick patients that were within the safe walls of the building, the head was more than willing to let me take my short break, and I’d return home, on edge as I’d walk past alleyways and homes- I had to see him soon. I had to. I had things I needed to speak about and this profession as a medical ninja was slowly driving me insane- To just learn that he was safe and healthy would surely bring me back from the deranged and ailing person that I currently was. I could only think the worst at the current time.

I had been a fool back then.

Remembering back I let things like that effect me so much- Of course I could remember only certain parts of my past, partly because of the great flash, and for some other reason- I guess I had just forgotten, right? ”……..” shaking my head, I’d look back from the past and more towards the future itself- I had grown stronger, much stronger than the wussy prick that I had been back then. I rivalled the powers of the head medic in Kusagakure- No, I might as well be the head medic I was so skilled by now. I was just waiting for the day when he’d soon phone me up for some reason saying that I was to become the head and return back to Kusagakure as it had been rebuilt by the council or something- My ears yearned for such words, to rise to power if only by a few degrees, but having seen what came of the village- Having been there at the time, it seemed unlikely that I would be given an official title by them any time soon.

Continuing to walk across the destruction that overcame the area in what appeared to be such a short amount of time, Blanche would simply dwell within her thoughts and take in the appearance of the land at the same time- It wasn’t that far off but she was sure that there were place elsewhere that had been worse effected by whatever had hit it with so much might. And at the same time- She thought of other things- Hazel eyes, matching those of the man she had met in the bar days ago, matching those of the man that she had unconsciously felt safety near- It was strange, but she didn’t jump to conclusions. He was dead- She hadn’t seen him for a month or two, and he had died, just like that. There was little else that she could remember that effected her so badly- Mountains moved beneath the rage that built up since then, rage for herself, rage for it, rage for all of the things that had done her wrong in the past, and all of the things that had done her good. She embraced it.

Her feet gently strolling over large tree trunks of old having been knocked over with quite sufficient force, musing the past did bring a sense of.. insecurity for her. She had never liked to discuss it and instead of simply releasing her feelings of anguish and guilt over the losses in her life she simply contained it and built up the hate that she had, finding it better to respond to things in that way rather than smile through things. And where there had once been a lovely young woman approaching her twenties with confidence, a fiancé and more importantly, a family, she transformed in to a demon that hell itself couldn’t contain- she had been freed from years and years of suppression and now she blossomed in to full power, manipulating her daily in to doing things the old Blanche thought of as horrifying.

[/i], the beast soon returning after his death and growing ten times worse than it had been in the past. I couldn’t say that I missed being the old me of course- There was little I could remember about myself- There was little I could remember about him, only brief things came to the surface but I figured it was just a lie since I had no proof with me that it actually happened. My past life had all been a dream, and I truly awoke after deaths had struck my heart hard. My baby blue eyes innocently looked upon lands covered in death and destruction, and I seemed to be drawn to it like a moth to a flame- My life had already been corrupted from it as far as I could remember, so I simply turned, finding no problem with tolerating the twisted being that I had become- It was the closest thing that I had to me, so I had little else to do. Since then, my mind has deteriorated. And I am fully aware, and accepting of that. I’m unsure of what exactly happened to cause this, but whatever it was, I didn’t want to know.[/ul][/ul][/justify][/blockquote]

My state was a pathetic one: breathing heavily and covered in cold sweat, my head tilted back and my mouth open like a dog as if I could breath more easily looking upward. The ground around me was stained with scarlet--dried blood, though the flow had stopped recently, thanks to my makeshift tourniquets. And still, I was completely drained of chakra. There was simply nothing left, or I’d have already mended my own wounds long ago. This only contributed to my fatigue, and I found moving about simply to be a hard task. So I’d made my place against a fallen, singed tree, my back propped up against its rough bark for support. My arms were all but useless; the now-dead Hachibi’s chakra had just licked my skin, deteriorating the it down to my shoulders in moments. Though the pain now was horrendous, it was nothing compared to the agonizing pain in the first moments. So I gritted my teeth and bared with it, waiting it out until I was able to recover my chakra. I figured that was my only hope. Despite the pain, my mind was lost in a tempest of confusion. Primarily about myself, and what I felt. Who I was. What was right. What was wrong. What I should do, and where I should go. I knew what I wanted, that had never changed, and I knew that it never would. Peace. Not just for myself, but for everyone--everything. How was I supposed to obtain it? I didn’t even know what I felt was right anymore: before, I’d stood steadfast and adamant behind my own beliefs. Death was wrong, no matter what, and it was always possible to avoid. Then, I’d nearly met my own death. Not only that, but many, many other people had died just before, and another had died beneath my gaze--all crushed by the Hachibi and its wrath. I’d realized the only answer, then, was death. The death of the Hachibi. Only the destruction of the beast saved countless lives at that time, and there was no avoiding it. Was that wrong? I didn’t know. I couldn’t know. It wasn’t for me to decide, but it had to be for me to know. Groaning, I decided wasting my energy arguing with myself was far from what I needed. But there were too many other things to worry about, both for myself and others. Most immediately: my wounds; though they’d stopped bleeding so much thanks to my bandages, they were still at risk of getting infected. Hell, they could begin to bleed again if I moved the wrong way. My ashen gaze narrowed down onto my arms, still gritting my teeth as I just barely twisted my arm into a new position, sharp pain spider-webbing out through my body in reaction. Though I knew it was only a waste of my energy, I couldn’t help but worry about . . . well, the world itself. The Hachibi was killed by a group of samurai, though, according to what I’d been able to hear, it seemed the beast would revive. It made sense--the Bijuu were creatures of pure chakra, so for them to simply stop existing was a thought I found difficult to grasp. Even in death, they did not cease to exist. Then there was the case of my comrade. Masuerta, who had gone off, though I’d managed to sneak away. After all, I didn’t want to burden him because I’d been careless. He’d already saved me once, and in more than one way. If it hadn’t been for him, I’d either be dead, or absolutely insane. Shaking my head, I dismissed the images my imagination had conjured up. Neither were ends I wanted to meet. Still, despite having left Masuerta with the intention of helping myself, I hadn’t even managed to remove myself from the battlefield. I rested in a spot near where I’d first took a stand against the Bijuu, where I’d thrown it, and where my life had nearly ended. A shiver ran down my spine. I’d be laying on the cold, dark ground, just as lifeless as I could have been before, if I didn’t fix up my wounds. They were more serious than I wanted to believe. Sighing, I set my head back against the bark of the fallen tree I sat against and closed my eyes, delving into the deep obsidian of my subconscious. [/i] on the spot, but to do so at the moment wouldn’t exactly be of my best intents. Looking around, I’d keep wandering around the abandoned area, my eyes scanning the wooden debris and the rocks that littered the area like flowers would a garden- And yet with a slightly more sinister tone than your usual flora would be- Something had happened here, the smell in the air proved it to be so- And as my eyes soon lay upon a bruised and battered figure, my guesses would remain correct.[/ul][/ul]
And yet simply looking at him, she could already tell that he was the victim of whatever destruction had occurred in this area. Approaching him, her personality as a medic would seem to emerge beneath her icy eyes of blue, and yet- Unlike times where she surely did mean as much harm as possible to people, at this time, she was gentler if anything, and knew that she had to do something. ”You're safe now.” Her words, despite quick and sharp, had some degree of softness to them, which was quite.. strange, really, but it was seen most of the time when she healed others. Looking over at the white haired shinobi, his band proudly bearing the symbol of Konohagakure, she’d kneel by his frail form, her hands soon glowing with the beautiful aura of Shousen.

It wouldn’t be long until he’d be fine.
Her ego was too big just to let someone die.

As if blessed by an angel of the heavens she would descend in to his very world, her presence entering his eyesight fully with her bountiful blonde hair and innocent blue eyes, accompanied by taut yet blemish-free skin. Should he have wondered, his thoughts would perhaps include the idea that he was already dead and was in fact being escorted by one of the angels to the great land above- However it was incorrect, and she was all for dragging him back down to humanity itself and to heal him back to full health. With her gloved hands emitting a soft green light towards the areas of his body where he seemed the most dire, he would soon find his wounds dissipating almost immediately as the effects of the technique soon got to work- Being a medic second to no other in her own mind, no-one died on her watch. Or, not any more. Long had been the days that she had people dying in her presence.

[/b][/color] I’d ask this- Oh please, I knew he was a shinobi, but to get him talking I’d need to be soft and graceful, slowly opening him up to conversation when he felt that he could bring himself to do so- He had probably been through some traumatic experience to get this gory- And there was probably a good story behind it. With bated breath would I kneel beside him, my legs taking my weight as my blonde hair curled down my chest, the blonde hair even going so far as to reach the man himself- I was truly a sight to behold, an angel on earth- And this guy should be pretty damn thankful that I was here at the time. I felt it, like I felt the breeze against my skin--like I felt the pain rushing through my body. My arms were skinless, though bandaged by my blazer, ripped in half in a pitiful attempt to cover both arms. There were many other wounds all across my body, they littered my physique, though I hardly noticed any of them. My wounded arms were simply overwhelming and overpowering, consuming my senses like a deathly mask. Still, my eyelids shot open, revealing the soft, stern, but caring gray of my eyes, flashing across the landscape in order to locate whatever presence it was I felt. Like a shadow had come over me, I knew that it was nearby, and then I saw her--her golden hair and gentle features would have appeared to me as an angel, come to bring me away--or something like that--had I truly believed in anything of the sort. Instead, I only took in her impressive appearance with unaltered apathy, though the bliss shown on my face simply from finding another living being was undeniable. I wanted to speak, wanted to tell her how happy I was to see someone, but I only coughed, then my voice fleed my lips as nothing but a weak groan. Then, suddenly, I felt a familiar sensation. A relief, a relaxation, and, ultimately, a warmth. At first I didn’t realize it--didn’t understand what was happening, that her touch was revitalizing my body--until I recalled that familiar sensation. She was a medic! A shinobi, most likely, just like me, versed in the way of healing using her own chakra. Complete and utter content flooded over me, and I couldn’t help but sigh in relief; my body visibly released much of its tension, tension that I hadn’t realized I’d built up. The tension of an expected death. She spoke then, softly and, well, nothing but what I’d expected to hear from her; a soothing, relaxing tone, as if her voice itself was the cause of my sudden health. I hadn’t thought to look to her for a village symbol. After all, things like that had never mattered to me. Konoha, Kiri, Kumo, whatever, they were just labels--ones I wanted to eradicate. A segregation that we brought upon ourselves, igniting wars and conflict with nothing to reap but death itself. Still, I realized my headband was strapped around my left bicep as usual, and despite this, she asked if I were a shinobi. But I was a medic, too. I knew how these things went, and the purpose behind her questions. Swallowing hard, I nodded, preparing myself to speak a bit. ”Y-yeah; a medic-nin, actually,” I said, tapping at the metal of my headband and lowering my head. My eyes were filled with a mixture of emotion--relief, happiness, curiosity. ”I’m Kii; you?” I looked up at her, smiling like an idiot. It was simple: I wanted to know the name of my savior. After all, if she hadn’t stumbled upon me in this wrecked, scarred place, I would have died. Her hair fell down, cascading across my shoulder, and I couldn’t help but notice that it was surprisingly soft. In fact, it seemed to reinforce my safety, as if it were a shield or a blanket, protecting me from whatever might harm me. This woman was surprisingly fit to be a medic, I thought. ”A-ah, I’m sorr--” A fit of coughing overtook me, and I paused for a moment to wipe my mouth and swallow hard before continuing. ”Sorry to make you do this.” I altered my sitting position, though a sudden wave of pain flashed over me as I did and I cringed, nearly falling as I squirmed. ”I’m totally exhausted--my chakra’s completely gone, too.” Shaking my head, I frowned; I knew, unfortunately, that the scale of my wounds meant that she would have to continue healing me for a lot longer than normal. ” » and we're crashing like the waves in the sea, and we're movin' to your heart, this time « › Note: Woah! [/i] the answer to what I had been wondering over the past hour or so, and even moreso when I stumbled upon his pitiful frame- What had been here? Gazing over at his arms and body, I hadn’t taken the information in prior but it seemed that he attempted to make some kind of makeshift bandage from his clothing- Which was good in some situations but right now no homemade bandage could heal his scarred arms easily- It would take years upon years- Including the fact that he looked ready to greet death himself. So then I had come to save him- Angelic and pure, relishing in the experience that I was getting from this- I was a war doctor, that was for sure, but I had never, ever expected myself to come face to face with a victim of a Bijuu attack. It was unthinkable, even at this point. [/ul][/ul]

Of course this was just a guess. But- From the way he was responding his voice seemed filled with pain, but there was no damage to his voicebox or throat as it seemed- Shock and the damage to his body was the only thing making him stutter, so, she might as well have a small, easy conversation with him to make sure that he kept to reality. He introduced himself as Kii, a medic shinobi of his village. She had no idea how good he was, but this placed the fact that he was surely at the gates of death in concrete- Despite being a medic, he neither had the chakra, nor the energy to heal himself, which was quite a bad thing- Luckily for herself she had only been placed in that situation once, but had escaped with her life, and with an overwhelming sense of guilt.

”My name is Blanche.” I’d tell him simply in my same saintly tone as my hands bearing the aura of shousen glided across his form, his arms becoming to take shape as the skin mended. She was amazing- And it wouldn’t take too long for this guy to be healed. Having not seen wounds like this since the shinobi war, it was quite a change to seeing grazed knees and minor injuries- This was full scale damage, and deep down, she relished seeing and smelling the blood that laced his broken body as of now, the urge to see it flowing down her hands so, so tantalizing. The way that the crimson liquid poured out of wounds was beautiful, to her at least, and as these thoughts manifested, Blanche would simply shake her head and focus on her healing, disregarding what was past thought by whomever plagued her head.

[/b][/color] I’d tell him this in the sweetest of tones- Of course I didn’t mind at all, what bloody carcass he had turned in to simply was a challenge for me to heal- And I loved every minute of it, twisted as it seems. ”I’ll have you done up in no time. Kii, what caused all this destruction?” I’d ask as my head would motion to both all of the wreckage that surrounded the area, and of course to the state of his own body. My guesses; A bijuu- But those were of old stories long gone- Had one resurfaced? I was unsure, but right now my mind couldn’t afford to be thinking of other things, as I needed to keep my work up and get this man back to a stable condition.

”I’ll heal you up first and then take a look at your blood, and a few other things.” these words said, the procedure would go on, as she awaited answers to her past questions asked.

I took the name to heart, because, quite frankly, I owed my life to her. The healing was a slow process, but it was surely happening. Still, no matter her level of expertise (which was quite high, I could tell), I knew that I wouldn’t be the same. My arms would be inescapably, irreversibly scarred--marked forever by my own naivete. Branded by hatred. And image of reddened, twisted and gnarled limbs flooded into my mind, and I frowned. With a sigh, the thought was dismissed. When she assured me, telling me not to worry, I smiled lightly and nodded. I knew in the end, though, I would have to find a way to repay her, even if it was never enough to repay the value of a life. If I didn’t try, I wouldn’t forgive myself. Again, I swallowed hard, struggling a bit--my throat ached, dry and raw from my heavy breathing, nodding as she confirmed with me the procedures she’d be taking. And despite the woman’s skillful Shousen healing technique, there was still immense pain pulsing through my body. It was unavoidable, unthinkable that I would be alleviated completely so fast, and I knew that, so I only mustered up the will to ignore it. It wasn’t caused by my physical wounds. ”This place . . .” I paused, both to ease my way into speaking, and to gather up the will to think back on the event without boiling over with anger. ”Just earlier, this place was a village. A town. It had people--lives, and homes, and peace, and memories, and--” I’d gotten too worked up, and in my small burst of emotion I was overcome with another fit of coughing. Gritting my teeth and scowling at the pain that rocketed through me with each cough, I shook my head. ”S-sorry . . . it was a Bijuu. The Hachibi--I couldn’t help it, I fought as hard as I could.” Then I looked up to her, eyes burning with indescribable emotion. ”I tried so hard, and still--still, I couldn’t save someone. I couldn’t do it,” I looked down at my hands, lifting them so that I could view them entirely. I knew I was talking too much--I was too worked up, I knew that, but I just couldn’t help it. I was angry at so many different things that I wasn’t even sure who to blame. I took the moment to pause, regaining my composure and resting for just a moment. Lowering my hands gently to my legs, I closed my eyes for a moment, then looked to my left, to the spot where the Hachibi had met its temporary end. ”It . . . they killed it. A group of men--samurai--they came and killed it. Only, they said it would return, and that the death of a Bijuu was only temporary.” It was slowly becoming easier and easier to speak, and I knew it was thanks to Blanche’s healing techniques. [/i], I had heard the name before in a book she had read in my youth but I couldn’t help but feel slightly intimidated that such a powerful being existed- One even more uncontrollable than I was, I wanted to harness that power for my own- At the moment being I was getting slightly tired from the effects of using such a powerful technique on this guy but I knew my limits- I was only meaning to heal him until he was healthy enough to make his own way- And yet a small part of me urged myself to stay and heal him fully, to nurture- Onwards came the clashing thoughts in my mind, and as my face bore a generally apathetic expression towards Kii as he spoke, within the battle raged on.[/ul][/ul]

As he blurted out words signifying that he was quite angry at the attack and the disastrous path that the Bijuu had created across this country, she would simply close in to him and shake her head, whispering; ”Shush now- As hard as it seems, time cannot be rewritten.” she would tell him in the quietest and sweetest of tones, alike a mother comforting their child after they had grazed their knee after playing. ”You escaped with your life- Be thankful of that, as I’m sure the Hachibi has claimed hundreds of victims by now.” her words were meaningful, although harsh in some ways. But she simply spoke her mind as her nicer persona enveloped her very being- It was easy to tell in both her actions, and the way that she spoke to him.

Continuing to heal him her green glowing hands would keep working on the wounds that he had- He had suffered quite a lot, but even now her healing ability was working away at the worst, wearing them down until they became nothing but clear, unmarked skin- A few flaws lay underneath of course, scarring, but it would prove no pain to him- It was simply a superficial problem. Leaning in towards the Konohagakure shinobi he would find her and her long, flowing blonde hair to embrace him in a comforting manner, meant only to soothe. Her arms wrapping around his form as her hands continued to heal his arms especially, she would then whisper; ”..You’re alright now..” she’d tell him as then, her right hand raising, it would gently touch the tip of his forehead as her hand glowed an ethereal white, using one of the techniques she had produced over the past few years in conclusion to her own suffering.

[/i] could then rest- Of course, my motherly instincts having kicked in, the boy being much younger than I was, I couldn’t help but feel protective, he being alike the runt of the litter as so to say, the weakest- I hated this about myself as these feelings were meant to be long gone but- When healing, especially with children, I cared. It was strange- And wasn’t a feeling that I welcomed with open arms. With the glow soon fading from my hands I'd remove them from the boy- He'd be fine now, there were a few things I needd to patch up but- He'd be fine. Mentally (For the time being) and physically.

But this Bijuu- It did stir me that it was out there- somewhere, ready to claim more victims and harm the innocent- I could be one of those victims, Hiroko, the man whom I was still to beat the shit out of could become one of them- I needed to get to him first before that beast does. Chances were he wouldn’t face it but- She was concerned.

Special: Disrupts and blocks out the sense of fear, shock, anger and trauma or any similar feelings within the mind of the target, causing them to fall in to a deep trance of tranquillity, allowing the medic to go on and heal them. Lasts for one turn, plus one more each time retrained. Due to the nature of the technique (Nulling the feelings of fear and terror) the user can use it to dispell genjutsu B-Rank or lower which deal with fear. Should the user feel a large wave of fear washing upon them, they can simply use this technique, meaning that knowing the genjutsu is applied on them isn't necessarily needed.
Description: Once to often do medical patients find themselves at great shock whilst on the operating table- Some may have a fear of needles, and others may have just had such an amount of trauma from whatever caused them to be on the operating table that they may not be able to respond to the orders of the medic or stay still- It’s because of this that a technique has been developed by a medic who has seen this too many times, the squirming of the patients having interfered in many a medical process. By enveloping their dominant hand with a white glow and then extending it so that his or her index finger points at the forehead of the patient, they can disperse their chakra in to the brain of the target and distorting it so effectively, calming them down. This doesn’t prevent them from moving, but instead simply makes them feel.. weightless, and at peace with the world, their mind temporarily forgetting what was once terrorizing them. Like many other techniques, this can be used on oneself in times of despair to get temporary freedom, and it can be used on foes on the battlefield, should the technique land- In this case, the foe will take on the same qualities brought on with other victims of this technique, and will be put off their fighting by some degrees due to a sudden sense of peace overwhelming them.

I knew the level of my wounds were disastrous, and that the amount of energy she would have to expend in order to completely restore my broken body was immense. Still, I felt my skin returning--it was a sensation I’d never felt before, combined with the familiar aura of Shousen. The pain coursing through my body was slowly fading, but my mind continued to rage on, consumed by emotion. I was frustrated--frustrated with myself, with my own confusion and naivete, with the Hachibi and the carnage it wrought. Frustrated that I couldn’t save a life. Then Blanche spoke, quieting me, and I knew she was right. But the words she spoke were hard to swallow, and I looked away from her and cringed. ”Tch . . .” I knew it. I knew that I had to be thankful that I was still alive, because some people didn’t even have that. But it didn’t help. For a while I only looked away from her, eyes narrowed and trying hard to take in what she said. Claimed hundreds . . . I thought, biting my lip at the thought. Why did this have to happen? What gave birth to something so destructive--why did we have to go through this? People died for no reason. I supposed I was still just a kid. Was this all really so unavoidable? Was this the conclusion that this world had come to--that innocent deaths are simply unavoidable, and as bad as they are, we have to get over it and move on? That it’s okay? Then she leaned down, and her hair smothered me. It was gentle--soft. Or perhaps that was something else. My mind began to spiral downwards, slowing and slowing, and I welcomed it completely. The thoughts of the Hachibi--at least, my anger, my frustration, my confusion--they all began to fade, and at first I was scared. At first, I didn’t know what was going on, didn’t know what it was Blanche’s doing. That she was helping me. Yet, I allowed utter contentment to fall over me completely. It was wonderful, and the sorrow I wore previously upon my face began to fade away. Then, she lifted away, and I looked up toward her with my ashen gaze. I didn’t know exactly what she did--it wasn’t something I knew how to do, at least, but she’d managed to erase all of my negative emotions. I knew that it was temporary, and that I would eventually return to my confusion, but that was for another time. For when I was ready to deal with myself. ”Thanks--a lot,” I said, smiling wide and chuckling just a little bit. By now, she was probably growing tired, unless I was underestimating her completely. But I was in infinitely better shape than I had been not too long ago, and I owed it completely to this woman. Curiously, I looked down at my hands, and realized that my skin was completely healed on my hands. [/u]. I needed to rise- To learn more, extend my abilities so that I could perform such things without getting tired at all. Although- I had successfully healed Kii as it seemed, and I was glad- I had more experience of healing such wounds as he had now under my belt, and deep, deep down, I had a small sense of satisfaction from having saved his life. It was simply the softer part of me going to work, and at the moment, I wasn’t in any position to stop it, unfortunately for myself. I was growing tired- But I was almost done- Just done more thing and he’d be fine, able to make his own way back to wherever he was off to- I however planned to stay in this area for if but a little bit more.[/ul][/ul]

Staying seated on the ground she’d begin another process- The last one perhaps that she was going to do- When she had found him the boy had been a bloody heap, so bloodloss was probably one of the problems that he had suffered- Even if it hadn’t been, it was better safe than sorry, and, even with all the techniques she had used, she was still able to cling on to the very last of her chakra to allow herself consciousness. ”…..” My silence would ring thorough the area as I’d raise my hands towards his body once more and gently hover it above his skin, her hands glowing a soft red colour- Blood. What was lost would now be made up for using this technique, and he’d soon feel much better than he had been in the past- With her hands continuing to hover over him, it wouldn’t be long until her duty as a medic would be fulfilled, and she’d be able to discharge from from her makeshift hospital.

And then- He’d speak, and she would do the same in return after catching her breath. ”That’s correct- You do owe me your life.” she would say with a little bit of a smirk in her words, although it wasn’t meant to look intimidating or anything like that- If anything it was her sense of humour. Removing her hands from his body as the glow would then fade, she’d take a moment to catch her breath, closing her eyes in the meantime, before then looking back at Kii- She was done, and now, the both of them could rest. The matter of him with little chakra she could help with, but at the same time she wasn’t in any position to do so at the moment. ”Now rest- You’ve been through a lot, and you have to restore your chakra supply before you head off again. Wounds may be fatal but chakra loss can be, too.” she would tell him- Surely as a medic he would know this, but there was nothing wrong with making sure, her motherly instincts kicking in once more.

And then, with my right hand raising and flicking the hair which was in the middle of my face towards my ear, I’d look on at his scarred figure on the floor- I would have offered to make him some bandage, but my ability regarding the creation of it was quite slim, surprisingly. Description: The user channels chakra through their hands and into the patient, a soft red light enveloping the user's hands. The chakra, once inside of the patient's body, begins to rapidly produce red blood cells, saturating and thickening the current blood to allow for quick repair of blood loss.
