A burden to her- Frankly she didn’t care as she had gotten things out of it, and being a medical shinobi was her life now, even if she wasn’t affiliated with any stable medical centre. Of course strangely she felt bad for saying that to him, but it was simply my kinder side pushing through to the surface- she didn’t care. ”You’re not a burden. Surely if the two were friends this other shinobi would have stuck by him and not just fucked off like that? It annoyed me to a certain degree that people were still willing to leave injured comrades even after the war but- That was my view on things of course, I knew that even if I was hell of a woman at times, there were probably people worse than me- Or, maybe not. But if I was anything, I wasn’t a person who would desert their friends in their time of need- If I knew them well. And the latter of which- I didn’t know that many people well- As I sat here with Kii, I knew that nothing more than acquaintances we would be- It disturbed me now to let people in further than that, really. The last person who I felt like I could actually trust was Hiroko. And he left me- Which said a lot, really.[/ul][/ul]

In the end, though, that hadn’t been enough--sure, I would have been able to heal myself easily, had I not been completely drained of chakra. I’d overestimated my own limits, I guess. [/i] and of course bitch- I had been called it upon many an occasion now, and to be honest I didn’t give a fuck about what they thought about me. My self-confidence was way above my head, and I was happy enough to admit that, because at least I didn’t have moments where I barely scraped the bottom of my personality due to having some kind of emotional breakdown- That wasn’t me- That couldn’t be me- My walls couldn’t be broken down, and I was a fucking beast- Women envied me, and men envied me- It was standard for me to be stared at.[/ul][/ul]

Taking her mind off herself for a few moments she’d then turn her head back towards Kii who had began to speak, saying that it was his own fault that his friend hadn’t followed him- He had snuck out, which, she didn’t really know what to say in response to, really. She did understand why he did it somehow but then it made her wonder whether his friend had gone looking for him or not after finding out that he had gone. Seeing as he wasn’t with him now she doubted it, but you couldn’t’ be too sure of the things that you didn’t know. ”I see- Fair enough then.” her voice would speak in its same disturbingly neutral tone, as she look up at the sky, then back at the Konohagakure shinobi- The time to leave was nigh.

”It’s time for me to leave-” she’d tell him, looking at his arms once more, scarred from the battle against the hachibi, then one good look over to make sure that she hadn’t missed out any cuts- Of course, not that she figured she’d missed some- It wasn’t like her to make mistakes, she was perfect. ”You should be alright. Rest for a little while longer and then you should be good to go. Don’t overwork yourself, and don’t get yourself in this condition again because another medic might not be here to heal you. Understand?” she’d ask him as her authorative personality shone through her corpse, her icy blue eyes gazing at his eyes of brown, before then looking in the direction she was headed.

[/b][/color] I’d say- Sure it was awkward, but I wasn’t one to be nice like that, even with him at his age. But although it was slightly discomfited, I did mean it. With the location of Konohagakure now on my map and a new technique to learn, I had come away from this land with good things- ”I might stop by sometime.” she’d tell him with a smirk- Of coure though, some may have mistaken it for her planning to destroy Konohagakure or something, but she had business there soon anyhow to do with the Hokage- So she might bump in to the shinobi once more, and she hoped that next time, it would be with him in a fit condition rather than sprawled on the floor like a bloody heap. But- On that note, she would then turn and make her leave, having enjoyed today’s pleasantries.[/ul][/ul]

Not becuase she’d saved my life--though I was certainly thankful for that--but because she was really quite the interesting person! A new friend was always welcome, at least for me. Now though, she had to leave, and I understood; she would have her own things to tend to, and soon, so would I. She instructed me to rest for a little while longer, and reminded me that I wouldn’t always be as fortunate as I was that she had been here. I nodded at her firmly, indicating that I understood the thought all too well. Hopefully she wouldn’t worry about me too much. When she thanked me for what little I’d given her in return for my life, I simply looked to her and smiled; then she noted that she might stop by sometime. ”I’d like that! Take care!” Then, I was alone. She’d gone, and I was left with my back against a broken tree, still completely exhausted, but altogether restless. Still, the distraction of conversation and come and gone, and now I was left only with myself, only to swim within my own thoughts. I took the time to examine one of my arms again, staring at it intently--curiously--turning it over, as if it was foreign to me. Yet, I wasn’t truly studying my arm; instead, I was struggling with myself. These scars were more than grotesque trophies from a struggle I’d survived. They were reminders of my naivete, and my weakness; reminders of the true nature of this world, and a testament to my newfound resolution. Things had changed, and I narrowed my eyes, staring at nothing as I pondered the thought. I wasn’t the same person anymore. I couldn’t be. Now, I had to grow up, had to abandon the childish dreams I’d had before of a perfect world. Peace couldn’t be obtained without death, no matter how badly I wanted it. If there was a way for me to accept that, then I was already moving forward. And I would always be moving forward, because I couldn’t let myself take the time to look back. My sorry state, deprived of chakra and only conscious due to my restless mind, was what happened when I held onto the ideals I’d had before. That was something I couldn’t allow. I couldn’t be the responsibility of others, and I couldn’t die, either. I had too many things to do. Where was it that I stood, then? With myself, and in this world, and where I wanted to go--they all had changed in an instant. And there were too many things to decide on, and too many factors. I wanted too many things. For now, though, it would all have to wait. Now I was looking at my arms--not just through them, but really taking it in--and I cringed. They were disgusting, not only in appearance, because of what the represented, for me. Using a bit of my remaining chakra, I began to create bandages from the materials I found around myself, and took the time to wrap my arms and hands as I always did.
