It seemed that the young lad was prepared to go all out in order to win but his determination might have come too late to save him. His impatience would also play a role in the course of the skirmish and it was likely to aid Satsui. Due to the timing of Haru's attack, Satsui hadn't been able to come within five meters of the boy because of the slow and deliberate nature of his movement. The blast of chakra did indeed slam into his body but because of his distance from the attack's point of origin there wasn't sufficient power for the Hakke Kûshô to penetrate the vest which rested under Satsui's robes. In strength, it exceeded even the standard flak vest normally given out by the Hidden Villages and its sturdy construction served to keep Satsui's tenketsu safe from harm. He was still lifted off his feet but from a place of pure instinct both of his hands shot forward and released a small lightning bolt each. These would fly toward Haru from opposing angles at rapid speeds and if both struck it would either paralyze him momentarily or simply give him a mild shock. No great damage would be done either way but this spar might be decided if Satsui could keep whittling away at his opponent.
Satsui landed softly, the wooden floor surprisingly giving, and rolled to a stop some fifteen feet from the statue. The reality of the situation came readily enough yet his features revealed nothing about his inner thoughts. His doubts averted, the previous comparison to mice obliterated, there was now only one thing on Satsui's mind and that was which of the two Genin would emerge the victor of this battle. Had Haru not shown himself capable then the fight might have been ended as Satsui neither wished nor cared to face an inferior opponent. However, being b!%@# slapped through the air by a pre-pubescent child was not something that ever happened to him and his warrior code demanded that he increase his focus and application of might to crush this young man, . . . in the spirit of their brotherly conflict. He eyed the boy excitedly and once again began weaving his mysterious handseals.
