[atrb=border,0,true] The cave would rattle and shake violently as he proceeded down the path he had chosen. Behind him, piles of rock and spiked stone fell down from the ceilings and crashed on the ground. What could best be described as jogging was taking him through the passageways at an incredibly risky pace, his footwear frequently crashing down on puddles of water scattered about. Once or twice, he would nearly slip and fall. Fifteen meters into his chosen path, and the Hyuuga would notice the smell of fresh air growing even stronger still, this time accompanied by a soft and refreshing breeze. And as he continued, while the world around him literally fell to pieces and crashed down, a speck of clear sky in the distance. He had chosen the correct path, but would he make it in time to enjoy his victory before being crushed by a pile of stone? He would have to hurry. Should the young leaf ninja bother to look behind him, he would see the path he had crossed no longer. Everything was being consumed by rock, and the cave was now rumbling with epic proportion. Pebbles dropped on his shoulders and head as he continued, a rocky end to his life coming ever closer as time passed. Advancing would bring him near to the dead gray light at the end of the tunnel, and when he finally reached the end, he would find the rock slide that had been chasing him right at his heels. The Hyuuga would have to leap out for salvation before the cave-in consumed him, landing but not stopping on a downwards slope covered with rocks, patches of grass and tree branches. He would roll a few meters downwards as the sound of thunder above continued to rage, and as the cave he had just exited became non-accessible once and for all. When he came to a stop, rising with little more than a few cuts and bruises, he would find that he was face-to-face with the mountain scenery he had spotted in the distance earlier. Somehow, the cave had taken him westward, and the cliff he had emerged from lead straight to these mountains. The clouds hung low here, growling with thunder still. But he had left the threat of lighting strikes behind at last. The storm had moved on from this place. The smell of charred pine tree laid proof to that. The only clear way ahead, that wasn't barred by steep cliff sides and fallen pine trees, was the mountain path that cut towards the west. The road would be damp, the path would lead through tiring mountainous terrain and past several cave-like dwellings. And perhaps the Hyuuga would notice that there was something strange about this hidden place. Either way, the only path forward was through the mountains. As eerie as it might be. | [atrb=border,0,true] |
