With the briskness in her step, Hirihi hurried down the various trails that surrounded the Country of Iron. As she ran, she fished out the map in her pocket and marked down the location of the samurai's base. She was fairly certain she would need it one day, as knowing the location of the samurai could prove useful to her in the future. She thought of nothing further, though, as she tucked the map neatly into her pack and vanished down a snowy trail.
As she ran, her thoughts would return again to the fight in the exams that had cost her her ability to be considered a Chuunin. She knew that she had been ready. She was certain that she had done fairly well in the exams on paper and in simulation. It all just came down to her ability to be prepared when it came to a real fight, when she was utterly alone. She wasn't ready. This was their way of weeding out the weaklings, only reserving the title for the strong. This was why she hated it so much. The weakness of herself, her inability to fight back from inside of that sphere of water, left her sad and wondering whether she would bounce back from such a defeat.
Her thoughts would be forced down as she wound down the various curves and bends, avoiding snow banks and keeping pace with her injuries in mind. They had all been forcefully healed through her own chakra related talents, but her muscles still had the memories of the pain. She couldn't shake the mental portion, though she knew that her body was perfectly fine.
Hours would pass, the feelings of weakness and doubt washing over her and smoldering that inner fire that much higher. She knew things were changing. She just wondered if it was for the better or the worse?
