[/justify][/blockquote]When Axcel placed his hand onto the rock he could already feel how wet, and consequently slippery, the damn stone was. The fact that he was about to climb up some twenty meters underneath the waterfall didn’t help much either. The task at hand would certainly be troublesome--even Axcel was aware of that, despite his person brimming with confidence. Regardless, he clutched the rock tightly and lifted himself off the ground, beginning the next level of his training.
As two hands gripped two separate rocks, the boy’s legs would struggle as they searched for footing. Immediately he felt the pressure of the waterfall on top of him. It was heavy, relentless, and certainly wouldn’t let up. With every passing moment, Axcel could feel his grip on the rock loosening. If he was struggling just to hold on, then how on earth was he supposed to advance?! Clearly he wasn’t going to make it at this rate, with his grip having fallen to just a few fingers.
No! His brows furrowed and his body tensed. Failure wasn’t an option--not here and not yet. With an iron resolve, Axcel’s left hand tightened what little grip it had on the rock and his right hand shot upwards, reaching for the next rock. His hand, somehow, found its target. Just as he did, his left hand had surrendered its hold over the first rock. If he had been any slower, Axcel would’ve fallen off the cliff and into the water below. It was no wonder that this, at first glance seemingly simple task, was considered advanced training for a Tenjouken user.
"Careful! I think it might be just a little slippery!"
“Huh?” Axcel couldn’t quite hear what Rin had to say so he turned his head slightly towards her direction. “What was that? I couldn’t hear yo--” his inquiry was interrupted by a sudden yell. His broken concentration on top of the constant pressure the waterfall put on him caused him to fall. Was he going to fail already? No--not quite yet. He was determined not too, lest he wanted to fail his training. Just as it appeared that he was going to fall to the bottom of the waterfall, Axcel managed to grab onto a small ledge in the waterfall’s cliff just as he fell. He was barely hanging on, though he had fallen even lower than the point where he begun at. If he wanted to succeed, he would need to climb up twenty five meters.
