Bewilderment. No, that could not even fully grasp my emotion right now; I was beyond bewildered, far passed it. I had been wrong by focusing most of my attention on the other intruder, but my eyes had never - not even for a second - fully left the boy I had captured before him. It was almost through an innate shinobi sense that I realized that something was wrong, and even though I could see him through a peripheral vision, there was nothing I could do when I realized what was about to happen.
I couldn't react fast enough, so when the explosion took place instead of being inflicted I just poofed - a cloud of smoke trailing the location I had just stood upon before the child was flung through it due to the recoil of his own technique. If they hadn't realized it at that point, the smoke made it clear that the form of myself that had been there was nothing but a Shadow Clone. My real self was hundreds of miles away, but was instantly alerted of all my clone had just witnessed1. Though the distance would have been a problem for most people... that was nothing to a master of Hiraishin.
For me, as soon as my real body received all the information of what had just occurred, all it took was another mere thought to transport my real self to the location. With the disruption of my Shadow Clone, the elongated kunai in which it had held also vanished; as a result, I was forced to enter the location from my actual home. All those seals I had left within the base had proven far beneficial than I had anticipated, but were now mostly rendered useless with the destruction of the building.
By the time I had used Hiraishin to reach my home, the black flames that had manifested from what I assumed was the boy's eyes had spread across the expanse of my property. It took some careful maneuvering to travel through the ruble, but I soon appeared outside of the door he had just been sent flying out of. I had witnessed Kouketsu's power first hand and read of many of my clan's fables; these black flames... I knew what they were."GameTime."
I could already feel the lightning being generated from my body as of result of his words and my anger. My hands, too, were already bounding through a wide variety of hand seals2. He'd soon feel my wrath -- the wrath of the The Flying Thunder God.
