Me and the Beast

[Hiroshi]

Today was just another day on the job for most shinobi, this includes Hiroshi who was given the assignment of dispatching a beast for the entertainment of others. A side show within the confines of a large Colosseum while the larger and more experienced shinobi prepare to fight the even more grotesque creatures. It is also a good way to make the smaller crowd of genin better. Giving them a tough foe in a controlled area, though one is always subject to death. The young shinobi slowly entered the arena and the crowd cheered him on. It wasn't a huge cheer but one enough to warrant him to blush a bit and show his more timid side.

The arena itself was 100 meters wide, from end to end and took on a circular form. There was a gated area on the other side and behind it was Benji, the 10 year old silver horned Rhino that could kill him in one hit. Taking this beast down would be a long while. They say that it also has an aptitude to get back up after falling even while it's heart is barely beating. Taking down the foe at all costs along side them. A cold sweat beaded down his face as the announcer called out his name. The words that came out of his mouth made the crowd roar. Some of them holding up signs, wishing to see death of the ninja. While others gazed in fear. Some of these don't end well for the ninja.

"WELCOME ALL TO ANOTHER GORY FEST OF DEATH! OUR YOUNG SHIKIGAMI IS FIGHTING A BEAST OF EPIC GIRTH! THE RHINO!"

As the cloud's people cheered the gates slowly rose and against it's grate the rhino slammed into it with it's horn eager to get out and charge. Striking fear into his heart as it snorted and grunted. The gates finally opened and as soon as it reared it's face outside the gates, it peered at Hiroshi. 100 meters away still, it only took a few seconds for it after the stand off from many meters away for it to begin it's rage and hate filled run at him. It was way more than enough time to do so but his hands fluttered together creating 3 paper shuriken imbued with explosive chakra at the rhino. The distance closed in to about 20 meters apart when he did the seals and the shurken dove at the foe.

Though this would not fell the beast, only one of the shuriken hit it's mark only slicing it's ear and only then by an inch. It's pain was slight but it didn't phase it at all. Since his first technique failed the foe was able to get in close quarters. Hiroshi drew his sword and caught the horn head on, though his feet dug into the earth and he was pushed back a few meters. Once they met at a standstill the beast bucked his head tossing the little man to the side. The force of being thrown into the air was bad but an ukemi saved him some damage.

"Shit!"

The beast had power, though right now it would be something more of a dodge fest for him since he lost his footing when he was thrown. The rhino kept on his onslaught, each time his horn stabbed towards Hiroshi and met the blade creating a metal clashing sound. What kind of horn was this? Though it eventually tired the beast out to move so angrily like that. It gave him time to forge his own handseals and go on the offensive. After they were sifted through, his belly would extend and he'd suck in as much air as he could. After, Hiroshi would blow expel a 4 foot wide ball of wind at the beast. Since his body was positioned 5 meters away from it and it was flanked from the left it took the full brunt of it.

The skin off it's side ripped and blood gushed out making the crowd roar in a lust filled pleasure. Sick freaks. He hated having to kill for other's enjoyment but putting bread on the table was required to live. His life or mine, it came down to that. The beast was far from dead yet though, it could go on for a little while longer, though it's bloodshot eyes and drooling mouth would show that it was only more pissed off. It had enough strength to charge too, within time parameters allowed to defend against this attack the ninja would turn his arm into paper and nimbly get on it's back. It slapped 3 papers on it and hopped right off.

"I got you finally!"

The beast would scream in pain as the notes on it's back exploded. Being able to create exploding notes was a really good thing. It was over, finally. The crowd cheered and he held his hands up in triumphant victory. Though the crowd stopped quickly, he wondered why and when he turned around it was too late. The enemy knocked him back stabbing his shoulder slightly with his horn. Hiroshi screamed as the horn dug into his skin and he was flung back a few meters. The enemy wasn't strong enough to follow up though and it fell over barely breathing.

"Mother Fucker."

Hiroshi was angry, he no longer cared for it's life and walked up to it digging at it's head with his kunai. The horn was removed and the pain from it made the animal pass on. He left with the horn as his prize.
