Hirihi was quick to run down the street. Her primary concern at this point was a patient who had been working on rebuilding the village. In his rush to complete the work, he had managed to hook a wrench around an electrical wire that was live. The current had been enough to stop his heart. This had happened half an hour ago, and the younger medics had made their attempt to get his heart going again. Hirihi, being one of the most expierneced medics in the hospital, had been called entirely too late to get to this man in time.
It would almost be a miracle if she were able to save his life that day. If she did, she would be more than happy to see him up and walking about once again. Dashing down the street, using the occasional shunshin to quickly move around groups of people that didn't seem to pay any attention to the Jounin running full speed down the path, Hirihi eventually came upon two Chuunin medics in white coats, standing over a man who had been laid under a blanket, his face covered. Her heart sank. Had she been too late to come and help the man?
"Did you manage to get his heart started at least?" Hirihi asked, the medics looking at her surprised. They knew her vaguely, but she was rarely talking between her trips in the hospital. "U-Umm, not exactly. I barely got it to pump again, but I had to keep it pumping manually so that his brain would not be lost due to oxygen deprivation." The male said, the black haired medic seeming entirely too unsure of himself. "Move. Now." She said, stern as she spoke and pushed forward.
"How long ago had you stopped manually pumping his heart?" Hirihi asked, forming the necessary seals and placing her hands against the top of the sheet. With her hands over his chest, Hirihi attempted to maintain her focus between the task of trying to restart the man's heart and hearing the inexperienced medic. "Just about a minute ago." He said. Hirihi had time. She might be able to save this man today, if she just got his heart going again. If she didn't, the man would surely lose all brain function and be in a coma the remainder of his life, if you called living on machines a life.
