description; During the war Kumogakure no Sato planted mines around various areas amongst the village so the enemies would be welcomed with a satisfactory treat. With those desolated times over it’s time we clear those mines before they backfire upon us. There are several areas with mines laying dormant waiting to be triggered. Remove them without triggering them, be cautious!

As Hirihi took her next assignment, there was a special request in the mission. She was to be the Chuunin that would be on point to help protect a Genin who wanted to help with the village restoration. She remembered when she had done this mission months ago with Johlin. He had been very helpful in helping her to be able to do this mission without losing a hand. She had remembered all of the tricks he had taught her, making her feel that much more prepared to help someone else do this particular mission. Picking up her assignment for one of the more dangerous districts, Hirihi wandered up the streets as she reviewed the routes.

There were a series of back alleys behind some of the nearby housing units. Because the areas were slightly more impoverish, no one had been sent to take care of the mines yet. It was an ongoing effort, and the village was a large place. Even now, there were still plenty of mines that had yet to be cleared. From the looks of it, there were a lot more in this area than she had planned for, because of its vicinity to one of the nearby barracks. It had been abandoned years ago, but it was still a high priority location for those that had sought to attack the village in the past.

Hirihi was nearing the area where the mines were located when she decided to stop and turn around, leaning her back against the wall. The pink tufts of hair behind her ears fell forward and cascaded down the side of her face and past her chin. Pushing the hair back, she turned her crimson eyes forward. This would be her first mission actually using her title as a Chuunin to be a leader. She only hoped she was as good at this as Johlin had been. He'd taught her quite a bit about leadership in the few missions they worked together.

As she waited, her eyes wandered up to the sky above, gazing at the different shapes of the clouds. It was interesting to watch them, how they slowly drifted away in the sky. One could watch them and they would seem to stand still. Even a glance away and you'd have to crane your neck to catch sight of the same cloud again. Just like a fast moving river, if not watched closely, one could lose track of a cloud as well as one's own life. Nature had a funny way of showing the symbolism of the world through such tiny things.

[Ho Chi Minch]

"Oh-Gosh...I'm late!"

Ho Chi Minch said in his head as he rushed though the streets of Kumogakure No Sato. He had almost forgot that he signed up for a mission- after all this was his first mission since becoming a Genin, and was slightly happy that finally he had something important to do than sit on his ass, and watch others go by. After making it past a couple of twists and turns Ho Chi Minch finally made it to a open field where it was cut off by grassland and it's and bits of dry crusty dead grass. As Ho Chi Minch dashed quickly as he could he seen a pink-haired female. Ho Chi Minch eyes glazed at the female he had not seen a female his age for quite some time, but than he thought to himself.

"A chick is going to lead me? What the hell..." He thought to himself closing the gap between them Ho Chi Minch pushed his hair back and began a long,but fast skid leading to the female,but in that moment Ho Chi Minch slid just a little bit to fast past her causing a bush of wind to push his air back and a sound of something ticking under him."What the fu-" Ho Chi Minch quickly performed several backfilps to land right next to the pink haired female suddenly a loud BOOOM! went off and smoke appear leaving a pretty well sized hole in the ground. Ho Chi Minch panted he almost lost his life he looked up turned to the female holding his hand outward."Nice to meet you...I'm Ho Chi Minch" he said still panting bending over trying to catch his breath.

Hirihi had zoned off, basically in her own world at this point. As the sound of pounding footsteps on the ground, heightened by her imagination running away, Hirihi turned to look at the source of the noise. When she saw the male running towards her, her brows furrowed at the sight of him. If this was her subordinate for the mission, she might very well be in trouble. He was not a punctual person, as he had left her waiting for several minutes now. Punctuality, though, was not her primary concern. The man was running through an area that was infested with mines. Did he have no sense at all? What if she had been standing in the middle of the field, slowly working her way out of the mine field?

This fear would only be heightened by the fact that he was now sliding to a stop. SLIDING! Sliding past her, as he seemed to misjudge his momentum, her worst fears of her first mission as a Chuunin had come true. He'd set off a mine, under her watch. Turning in an attempt to grab him by the shoulder, she barely missed him as he slid over a mine and went backflipping away from it, stoppingin front of her and acting as if what he had done had not been a big deal.

Oh the fun she was going to have with this one. "Rinji Hirihi." Hirihi said, giving his hand a firm shake before turning her attention to the giant hole in the ground that had once been a nice bit of field. "Rule number one, You don't go more than ten feet away from me." She said, shaking her head and turning back to face him. "Now, before we go on..." Hirihi said, turning around and going to the crater he had made. "I'd like you to see what we are dealing with." She said. Taking a mine out of her pack, one of the ones she had removed herself, Hirihi held it up for him to see. It looked like nothing more than a crude metal object, a single button on the top about the size of a human foot.

"This is the mine you just set off. How do you propose we take these out of the ground here?" She asked, feeling the need to be strict, as Johlin had been on her during her early missions.

[Ho Chi Minch]

Ho Chi Minch stopped his panting, he had worked some stamina up to shake the female's hand. She introduced herself as Ho Chi Minch looked at the damage that he had caused. She also looked she seemed a bit disappointed with Ho Chi Minch, but how? He only a Genin he didn't know any better. Plus he likes causing problems for people anyway so she has a long road in front of her. As she looked at Ho Chi Minch she gave him a rule. Stay within ten feet of her. Little did the female known as; Hirihi knew that Ho Chi Minch don't listen to rules quite well.

As the drama of the damage that Ho Chi Minch caused died down slowly she turned to Ho Chi Minch and reached into her backpack she pulled out what Ho Chi Minch believe to be was a Mine. Ho Chi Minch eyes glared in shocked at the site of one of the mines. He had never seen something that was so great he thought many years ago someone would have stepped on this and died. These things are the cause of Kumogakure of being safe back in the old days. After eyeing it for a while Hirihi asked Ho Chi Minch how could we disarm these bombs Ho Chi Minch looked at the bomb before scratching his head.

"Hirihi-Chan, if you are a Doton user can't you just use you're skill to somehow connect all the bombs at once thus making each and everyone go off at once?" Ho Chi Minch said dumbfounded at the answer he gave her,but it was an answer nevertheless.

[Hirihi]

Hirihi was mildly surprised at the answer that she had gotten. Turning around, she looked at the hole and shook her head. "Not while they are in the ground. The purpose of this mission was to save the environment as little damage as possible while also getting the mines out. Children could wander here one day and we don't want them falling in a giant hole as much as we don't want them to end up getting blown up." Hirihi said. "If you are a doton user, though, then you could fill those holes back in. So, tell me, are you a doton user?" Hirihi asked.

Reaching her hand around the side of the mine, Hirihi began to disassemble it to get him a view of what the insides looked like. Inside of the case was the basics of a kunai grenade. It contained an exploding note and shrapnel, the tag set to explode when there was pressure applied to the button at the top and released. Hearing the click alone was enough to send someone for the hills, but that was the triggering mechanism.

"This is what makes up that mine you stepped on. Simple design, but trying to disarm it is too dangerous to do in the field. You never know when you might set another off in the process and start a chain reaction." Hirihi said. "Luckily, I was given this dummy model to help show you how they work." Piecing the mine back together, she pocketed the dummy mine and waited for his reply on whether he was able to do the plan he had mentioned.

[Ho Chi Minch]

Ho Chi Minch scratched his head again waiting for the Chuunin to respond, all of a sudden she looked at the hole again before explaining something important to me. Ho Chi Minch nodded before looking at her. "I'm not a Doton user,but I am an Raiton user". Ho Chi Minch watched as the female began to break the dummy mine down even more. Ho Chi Minch looked at it again eyes even glared more as he seen the basic parts of the mine. Ho Chi Minch shook his head before letting out a huge "I GOT IT!"as she placed the mine back into her bag.

"Well Hirihi-San, bare with me I got a plan for those mines. You see I'm a lighting user,correct?,okay. I understand that the mines are underground; the ground is just Doton.So according to the elements I learned at school I've learned that Light beats Doton which means if it came down to it what if I pressed my palm using my Raiton style and channel the charka and my nature into the earth thus nullifying all the bombs and traps without setting them off or in the future ever going off again? Is that possible? Or is that too far fetched?"

Ho Chi Minch uttered to the female before looking outward towards the field and shaking his head wildly."But...Who known my raiton style might not be strong enough for that chain of reactions anyway. He said to himself before turning back to the pink-haired female waiting for her answer.

[Hirihi]

The idea was a decent one, and it was showing that he was thinking with his head. Regardless, though, the risk of an electrical current surging through the ground would half a 50/50 chance of setting off the mines and causing more damage than she wanted to sign her name to. "Electricity was brought into the picture when they manufactured these mines. Any electrical current would only set them off. Because of their crude design, they don't function like a normal electrical device. They are a crude mechanical device that would be set off by such measures. Besides, we want to harvest the mines to be re-used in the future. We can manufacture our own weapons from them if we do ti right." She said.

"Instead of using our energies to explode the mines, I have a thought for you. You gave an idea, now here mine." She said, hoping that he would, indeed, hear her out. "There is a slight surge of chakra that is necessary to set off these Mines. That energy is stored in the actual exploding note themselves. I have the ability to sense chakra. Rather than a hit-and-miss strategy, I can walk the field and find the mines, marking them with a circle. We dig them out and I show you how to dismantle them so you can do the same."

It was a very simple idea. She had done the very same thing herself. It was not a hard task, it just required that you be paying attention. "How does that sound to you?" Hirihi asked, curious to see if he might have anything he could add to it. Though he was a new Genin in her eyes, she'd give him the benefit of the doubt that he might have something to contribute to the plan.

[Ho Chi Minch]

"Hirihi-Chan...Thats a pretty good idea!"

The young Genin said to the female before looking outward towards the field. It seems that his plan would have a major drawbacks. So since she is a sensor ninja she would have a huge chance of finding the plans,plus Ho Chi Minch would have learned another skill. How to disarm a land mine. He pushed his hair back to get it from covering his hair and stared at the female for the next set of steps.

"Let's go Hirihi- Chan" the genin yell'd outward to her.

[Hirihi]

Hirihi nodded her head as he accepted her plan without any kind of argument or addition. He was young. He'd learn to have an original thought of his own, formulate his own plans. She'd give him the room to learn on his own, too. When he ran forward, she was quick to grab his arm and glare at him with those deathly cold crimson eyes. "Did you not learn your lesson the first time? Running off without me is death." She said. Though she was slightly taller than him, it didn't hep it was only by about half a foot. The age difference between the two, from what she could assume, was embarrassing to say the least.

Rolling her eyes, she let go of his shoulder and formed a set of handseals. Filtering the twenty meters of range she could see through her ability to see as a sensor, Hirihi began to see a mixture of things in the area. There was plenty of mines for them to worry about, and he had been stepping rather close to one. "Follow my lead, directly behind me." Hirihi said. Taking a kunai from her pack, she drug a small circle in the dirt over where the mine had been and glanced up at him, her eyes seeming distance as she looked at him through the Mind's Eye.

"Any further forward, and you would have triggered yet another mine." Hirihi said. "Stay where you are and I will map out any mines within the general vicinity. DO NOT MOVE." She said, adding a stern tone to her voice as she turned back to her task and began to walk slowly. A few steps forward, drawing another circle. Walking 90 degrees another way, marking another mine. This was the cake part of the deal. The hard part was getting them dug up without tripping them. She could do it, but she had her doubts about this kid.

Fresh out of the academy, though, she had to take a bit of slack on the boy. He was just being himself. When she had marked what looked to be ten mines in the general area, Hirihi turned her eyes back to him, letting the jutsu fall that was keeping her eyes able to see the realm of chakra around them. "That is every mine within the nearest area. You step in the circle, you are dead." She said. Maybe, if he could behave, she might teach him to see as she did. If he was able to learn it, that was.

Kagura Shingan (Kagura Mind's Eye)

Range: 0 - 50 meters
Special: When first learned, the Sensor can extend their Mind's Eye up to 10 meters in any direction. Each new rank extends the range by 10 more meters, for a maximum of 50 meters. Upon learing the 'S' ranked version, the user will no longer have to close their eyes nor form handseals to activate.
Description: Kagura Shingan is an advanced Sensory Ninjutsu technique used by all sensors, and serves as the root to the entire sensory tree. After a series of handseals, the sensor closes their eyes and uses their inate ability to detect chakra in order to determine the location of their opponent by the faintest of chakra trails, as well as discerning the size of an approaching unseen force, and even their chakra capacity.

[Ho Chi Minch]

The bright eye'd boy attempted to rush in and start to pick at the mines at where they were,but a all of a sudden jerk of his clothing brought him back towards the female; Hirihi. Had grabbed the young male and turned him around to face her. Ho Chi Minch heard her words as of now she was a bit serious and Ho Chi Minch had to listen she a Chuunin for the right reasons. Ho Chi Minch had already forgotten that he nearly got blown up the short-memory boy only nodd'd before turning to see what the female had in store next.

He watched as Hirihi had formed a set of handseals; Ho Chi Minch watched closely as each of the handseals that she had form. In a instant she began to zone out,but before she could walk away she told Ho Chi Minch to DO NOT MOVE., and that what Ho Chi Minch did he stood in the spot he was was suppose too.

She began to take a kunai outward from her backpack and began to jamming it into the ground Ho Chi Minch stared as his eyes watered as if he was about to cry,but he was really happy. "Oh- Hirihi-Sensei...How could you do that! Without blowing something up?" Ho Chi Minch wanted to know how he had not seen something like this done before. She walked back over to him and told him what the circles were for. Ho Chi Minch smiled and began to walk towards where the first mine was circled he bent over and-

"LET'S DO THIS HIRIHI-SAN!" He shouted hoping she would teach him how to dig this out without setting it off. And hoping she would teach him that useful trick she used.

[Hirihi]

Well, he was an eager little thing. He'd just seen her walk blind to the world through the minefield and mark almost a dozen mines, and he was eager to dig one up. Logically, if one of the ones she had marked went off, they'd end up all detonating. These had been placed especially close since it seemed to be a tactical location for invasions. Walking forward, Hirihi placed her hand on the ground and pointed her finger towards the circle. "First, this is where the mine is. If you press against the ground anywhere in this circle, we get blown up. So, what you need to do is dig around it." Hirihi said, starting her own methodically digging.

She was not a dainty girl. She appeared to be almost like a porcelain doll, standing at a mere 5' 3", but she was nowhere near as fragile as she appeared. Her genetics just liked to mock her. When she had dug deep enough to get to the mine, Hirihi looked up towards him with her crimson eyes. "This is going to be a little difficult for you to watch, given that I am working partially blind myself, but the mine's have a flaw in their design. They won't detect chakra around them. So, what you do is place your hands on the side of the mine and create a layer of chakra on the mine to prevent the pressure plate from being triggered." Hirihi said.

As she spoke, she began to recall Johlin's words flowing through her mind on how to do this very thing. "Once you completely encase the mine in your chakra, you gently pull it out from its spot and out through the hole that you dug..." Hirihi said, demonstrating the very same thing as she spoke, removing a mine that seemed to be glowing a light blue color from the chakra she had placed around it.

"With it above ground, you have the chance to disarm it. Opening the casing as I had done before, all you have to do is remove the exploding note and it's done." Hirihi said. This was easily done as she undid the fastenings and removed the exploding note right before his very eyes. "I don't know if I'm going to let you disarm one, seeing as failure would equal death, My biggest concern is just getting them out of the ground. Once they are out, the threat is mostly neutralized." Hirihi felt that she was entirely too long winded for this, but she placed the diffused mine aside inside of the large bag she had been given to store them before dropping them off for storage.

[Ho Chi Minch]

Ho Chi Minch watched as the mine glowed blue with huge eyes glazed on as Hirihi disarmed the bomb Ho Chi Minch was ready to do so to,but Hirihi said not to disarm them only take them from the ground. Ho Chi Minch stood up and ran for the next land mine.


Ho Chi Minch sat down close to where the dirt was circled from Hirihi before. Ho Chi Minch forced chakra into his hands and began to dig underground. As he dug he could feel the cold metal object and the dirt that was surrounding it almost come off the moment Ho Chi Minch touched the thing. As it glowed blue it was time to pull it from the ground. Slowly but steady Ho Chi Minch pulled the mind from underground and sat it right next to the hole so Hirihi could come and pick it up. "HIIIIIIIRRRIIIHIII-SAN, I GOT MY FIRST ONE!!!!!!!!!!!" Ho Chi Minch said as he repeated this process two more times.

With the two of them working this way, Hirihi began to disassemble the mines as he would expertly pull them out of the ground. There were times that, as she was pulling the explosive note from the metal casing, she would see him seem to fumble with the live explosive in his hand, but she was thankful that it had merely been a small slip. As the two would continue to work over the mine field, they would clear all of the mines out and be left with the minor holes that were left in the wake of the mines being removed.

"With that, we are, indeed, finished with our task here. You work very well for a fresh Genin, and maybe we can do some work together in the future. The rest of the mines are far out of place, and they are outside of the zone that we were set to come clear out." Hirihi said. Glancing to the sun above, she shouldered the leather pack she was using to carrying the mines in. "Go turn in your mission to the mission compound, stating that the job is complete and they will pay you for your work." Hirihi said. With the deactivated mines settled on her shoulder, Hirihi turned and vanished from sight, running through the various alleyways and going to drop off the mines that they had collected before turning in the mission for credit.

The mission was done and it was time to head off...He watched as Hirihi left; Ho Chi Minch shook his head before leaping off heading towards the inner city of Kumogakure No Sato.
