Day I
High up amidst the vast foliage, a candle sat on a branch. It was lit and the oxygen around it provided its continued flickering. My eyes peered into it from a short distance, my legs resting horizontally on the branch with my back resting against the bunk of the tree. The flames danced as pieces of the wax oozed down the candle before hitting the wood of the branch. Emerald halcyon drifted off to the sky, watching the clouds move along in such a calm manner—as if there was nothing in the world that could indeed disturb the flow of such tranquility. Closing my eyes, I then reopened them as I peered into the flickering flames once more.
Below me, in far distance behind, two ninjas fought. I knew them both well. One was a teacher, and the other a student. The student had the blood of my ancestors running through his vein, albeit not quite my family, he was indeed part of my clan. I leaned my head back as the student and teacher blew massive fire at each other. It was widely known that the Uchihas were adept at the skill of learning fire. The ability to breathe fire was in me but I never cared to learn it. Growing up, I was never bothered by the society of the Uchiha clan to uptake the necessary techniques of Katon.
As a result, I was often envied by my peers and classmates. Some even degraded me below their level simply because I had no knowledge of the art of fire. I shrugged at these fools, for I had an art far greater than the skill of Katon. Considered a genius, I learned the arts of my clan quickly and advanced far greater than those who learned Katon. I was interested in the arts of lightning—intrigued by it actually. I was still learning but still, I had the goal of mastering this wondrous art. The roars of fire echoed again as I looked back to see the two at it again. Sighing, I extended my hand to douse the flame and whiskered away to that location. It was time to see what exactly was going on…
