[LENA?!]

Lena heaved a soft sigh as she made her way around the village, jumping from rooftop to rooftop. Her blue eyes look around carefully, darting from side to side as she began to mentally prepare an attack plan. She had sighed up for the mission the previous day, but it had been so late that she really had just decided it would be better to do it the next day when she was fully awake and all of her motor senses were working- it was a tedious task, after all, and would require precision and hard work to complete- it wasn't everyday, afterall, that rapid dogs escaped from Kumogakure's Veterinary Hospital. Lena would try to complete the task without being bitten- it she was, she would probably be screwed, at least for the day- she would have to go to the vet immediately and get treated to make sure she didn't get infected with rabies, which was a very serious disease- at least if you didn't get it treated, or didn't get it treated correctly.

Then sun was shining brightly in the sky, so she would have a good amount of time to complete the task that she was handed- it was only around noon and she would search until she became weary and knew she couldn't take down a full grown- rabid, dog. She stopped for a minute and scanned the horizon- there were so many places that a fully grown dog could hide around Kumogakure, but she thought the dogs would prefer to go into somewhere dark and dank, at least during the day, and then come out during the night to hunt any unsuspecting civilians and even young shinobi, so she turned her course toward Kumogakure's run-down section, which was still in the process of being rebuilt. It seemed like, in her mind, the perfect place for the dogs to hide if they didn't want to be found, plus most of the civilians there were still very weak and weary, so they would be very easy targets for the dogs to hunt down. Lena wouldn't let them hurt any of her civilians though- it was her job to protect them and she damned if any dog was going to stop her from doing so.

[LENA?!]

It took Lena about fourty-five minutes, but she finally made it into what is normally called 'Kumogakure's Ghetto". The area around Lena was not a place that she liked to frequent herself with and between the trash and seeing so many hurt and starving people just made her insides twist and turn. She wished there was something she could really do to help them, but so far she had not really had an opportunity to help out much, though she would be back in the ghetto soon to help reconstruct some of the buildings. It was a very dank and dark places, as to where the rest of Kumogakure seemed to sunny and warm, just being in the ghetto chilled your bones to the core and as soon as you entered it felt about twenty degrees cooler than it did in the rest of Kumogakure. Buildings were stained with scarlet blood and ugly green mold. It was horrible to look at and even more horrible for Lena, as she actually lived in Kumogakure and seeing such a place made her stomach churn.

She was on a mission though, so she needed to go find out whether or not the dogs were around here and needed to really get her head in the game. She jumped from rooftop to rooftop again, sometimes almost falling because most of them were just small wooden planks from the rebuilding. She traveled an hour and still saw no sign of the dogs that had been described to her. After a few minutes she spotted a tail and turned herself. She looked at the dog than the descriptions she had been given- this one matched one of them, as the dog was a very mottled brown color and missing a piece of his left ear. He also had a slight limp, but she could see the foam dripping from his mouth, so she moved in to act- it was time that someone did, after all.

[LENA?!]

Lena jumped from the building and wrapped her arms tightly around the dogs neck, grunting as it fought and struggled. She reached for a syringe that the vet had given her- they had given her 5, just incase she messed up with one- and she struggled to grasp it as the dog bucked underneath her, trying to bite her sensative flesh. One she grasped it, she pulled it out quickly and stabbed the dog in the neck with it, putting it in. She held the dog until his motion stopped- he was asleep, so she found a nice little hole in the wall and put him in it- he would be asleep for at least a day, so she wasn't too worried about him running away- now she just needed to find the rest of the dogs, so she hopped back up and onto the building she had just been on and followed the road, wondering if the group had ended up staying together in a pack- if that were the case, than she would have a bit more trouble wrestling them down, though it would be a lot easier to find them than it would have normally been for her.

[LENA?!]

Lena followed the road until she was met with a y-shaped junction that cut into it. She had a 50-50 chance of picking the right way, so she looked down each of the roads. One seemed a bit more desolate than the other, so she chose that one and continued to hop from rooftop to rooftop, her feat barely touching the hard, gray stone of the buildings. After a few minutes of travel, she heard a loud,piercing shriek and quickly headed in the direction the noise was coming from. When she got there, sweat almost literally dropped down her brow. A little girl stood before her, her blonde hair dirty and looking very similar to what you would see on a mop. Her blue eyes were staring wide as the three dogs began their descent upon her young body and she feebly backed up, as it was the only thing she really could do. Lena had not been planning to take on the other three rabid canines all at one time, but it would have to be done- to protect the little girl and all other citizens. Lena sighed and she watched for a moment before springing into the heat of the deadly battle.

Lena found herself right in between the little,cowering girl and the three ferocious dogs. One of them was a pure white dog, making even the white foam coming from it's mouth look dark. Another was a dark brown color and his claws and teeth were extremely sharp. Then there was the leader with his dark, ebony black eyes and his equally dark fur- he blended in well with a place like this. He yapped at Lena, but she stood her ground, glaring at him. The white one took a step foreward and Lena jumped into action, jumping underneath his body. He tried to step on her with his paw to hold her down, but he failed and she was able to come up behind him and jump on his back. He bucked her off, however, and she narrowly missed a bite right to her neck. His paw swiped her cheek and blood began to trickle out as she dodged his paw and jumped onto his back, holding on for dear life as she pulled a syringe out and stabbed him in his neck, jumping off as his body tumbled down- one down, two more to go.

The two other dogs growled at Lena ferociously, but the leader decided it was not his time to enter the battle yet, so he sent his other follower, the brown one. The brown one was huge, though still smaller than the leader, so Lena would have to be careful to dodge him so he did not crush her under his weight. She dodged one attack and rolled underneath him, grabbing his tail to jump on his body, She clung to him for dear life, trying desperately to reach one of the syringes. He was bucking like a bull and Lena could not get it in her grasp. Once she finally did, however, she pulled it out and slammed it hard into his neck, injesting the syringe. It took a minute before he fell and allowed her to get off of him. Almost immediately the leader jumped her from behind, pushing her body down to the ground. She managed to turn over and dodged his teeth, which bared for her throat. She tried to wriggle from under him which was a very hard task, and she knew she would die, at least until the little girl hit the beast in the head with a rock, causing his attention to go to the little girl. Lena quickly grabbed a syringe and injected it into his neck, though he barely staggered, so she was forced to grab the second one and hit him with that too before he passed out.

Lena sighed as she laid for a minute before standing up. She turned to look, however the little girl had disappeared. Lena used a nearby cart to tug the three dogs where the fourth was and put him on aswell, dragging the dogs back to the vet and getting her cut healed before it was finally time for her to go home and get a good nights rest.
