▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
With one of the mission slips that she had requested held quite tightly in her right hand, the young female would walk through Kumogakure, moving lower down in the village towards where she was to meet her leader for this particular mission- She was to catch some fish. She wasn’t too fond of missions that required harsh physical feats because of her limited strength but things like this she could do easily- It was almost relaxing, although she would never really consider fishing as a hobby that she would take up- It was nice and all, lazing around on a nice summers day until you hooked something but, she had too many things to do to go out and spend the day fishing. She was pretty sure that she could recall doing so with one of her brothers in the past, but the memory was hazy by now, although, knowing her brothers, she probably had.
Walking down a little bit she would soon come to what she could but describe as a large pond- It was a fishery, build on someone’s land. They had placed the water in there themselves and also stocked it with fish, although, chances were they probably bred them specially for eating. Even from a little distance away she could see a few of the fish jumping up and down excitedly from the water- If they only knew their fate after being caught. She did feel a bit sorry for them but, they were delicious. There was enough of them anyway. Continuing to move towards the fishery she would soon approach the rock-build hut that was near it, as an old man came out with a jolly grin upon his face as he held a fishing rod, and a bucket of what she could but describe as worms, after peering in curiously.
”Here you go- You’ve been asked ‘ta catch four, yes?
It should be plenty easy for ‘ya young’un. Here, take this bucket ‘ta put the fish in afterwards.”
It should be plenty easy for ‘ya young’un. Here, take this bucket ‘ta put the fish in afterwards.”
The elder man would speak, handing her the fishing rod and bucket which she took, and then carrying the other bucket to hold the caught fish in, as he’d walk over to the edge of the pond, setting the bucket down. Near it there had already been a sort of foldable seat, it having probably been sat in earlier in the day from other mission goers. But, she had no problem with that of course. Nodding her head she would return his words with a grin, as she would then get to work with catching the fish- She hadn’t done this in a while now, so she took her steps carefully to prevent mucking it all up- She didn’t want to have to buy the man a few fishing rod. She could scarcely afford enough money for tools these days anyway.
So, taking the rod in one hand, her fingers carefully holding the hook, she would remove the glove on the other hand, and would pick up one of the worms, it wriggling strangely beneath her touch. Despite this she would keep a firm yet gentle grip on it, and then—She’d spear it upon the hook of the line, it flailing wildly for a few moments, before its movements finally died down. It was dead, but it would soon be fed to some fish, yum yum yum! Having done so, she would then, praying that she would do it right, take the rod, swish it back and then PLOP! the line would hit the water in front of her, the float bobbing up and down on the surface. With the hard part done and dusted, now the only thing left to do was wait. And thankfully enough for her, she was quite good at that.
