Now with the permission of the Kage I moved out to complete the request at hand, apparently the people of the village who were not trained in the shinobi arts as he and the other Genin were had a rough time receiving their mail. A major downfall to anyone really, I wasn’t sure if I was really the one right for the job, but it put money that I didn’t have on the table.
With scroll in hand I pulled out from the mission area and followed the rocky path heading straight up, my raven black hair danced in the wind with each step I took, my mind was focusing on what he was actually going to do about this mission. I was well versed in the villages layout in theory that is, but I never really cared for the residential area of my home… I rarely stayed in my own home. “It’s all for the money. I just have to remember that.” It was true after all, I wanted to show some of my use to the people of this village so they would remember the man who would become the Crow king!
Before I knew it I was already at the top of the mountain. The view was always the same the clouds that covered the village was as white and beautiful as ever. The sky just seemed to calm the soul, these blue eyes of mine too k this scenery in whenever they could and always loved it. “Work.” A quick reminder to stop all my gazing and actually get a move on, and do the mission that was at hand, which sent the feet into motion throwing my body from the mountain soaring through the wind I got the chance to become one with the sky once again always an exciting moment, but short lived, a near by spire was my target which would be used to catapult myself once again into the sky. A brief moment to thank my teachers for training this Taijutsu enriched body so that it would support these crazy antics.
It would be a few more leaps of faith before I reached the post office of our dear village, the place looked as if it would have problems that or they were waiting for me with several stacks of mail outside by the door. Shoulders shrugged off those letters for now it was more important to show myself before I begun to do anything else, and with that thought I walked through the sliding doors. The owner turned to see my dark form stealth fully sinking into his shop. Messy black strands of silk lined over piercing blue eyes an entire torso cloaked under black fabric, he had yet the chance to take notice on the interesting black pants and wife-beater that lurked under. Moments passed as the post man and I continued to exchange glances, I think he was finally brought to ease when from under my cloak I flashed him the headband that proved I passed my Shinobi classes.
“A Genin eh? Appropriate. I need those letters to go out, alright champ?”
A odd nickname once again was placed upon me I honestly wished he would call me master, or maybe even his lord, but then again I am nothing more than a Genin in some eyes. I turned from him and gave a swift nod on my way out of those doors. I could hear the postman sigh on my way out apparently I must have scared him, but that was something normal. The letters were tied together with a map on top of the stack, hell it was more than I really wanted to carry, but I did lug those letters from the post office back to my original location that way I’d be given the chance to look at the residential area, I moved under a odd shaped rock that seemed to curve over shading small weeded are which looked safe enough for a human to sit there. “Now.. We’ll take care of the east side first.” I said placing three other stacks on my left side close to the rock surface so they wouldn’t float away, and with a Kunai I stuck the map into the wall above those letters so I would be able to navigate.
Hands danced so elegantly in my lap forming different seals which brought forth a mass of crows around me, with all eyes on me I flashed that murderous smile to them only to receive welcoming ‘caws’ in return. I removed the rope that was tied around the stack of papers and used a kunai to split it in half, from there I separated the stack of papers tying the two halves to two separate pair off crows and split m massive flock into halves. One crow was larger than the others though it would serve to fly between the two flocks and guide their progress and be the eyes for their master. I made sure all was stable and sent my murder to the skies easily becoming jealous of their ability to take flight the twenty birds separated and took the skies for themselves. I then prepared another set of hand seals and closed my eyes, it was a feeling that I had missed the crow that I sent for observation opened its eyes and the entire flock was now revealed to me. I was able to use my bond with them to send them into formation. Under my observation these birds would fly down to the home of the residents and a few of the crows would pull open their boxes while the others tightened the rope as one of the letters were pulled off. This continued for sometime proving the intelligence of crows was higher than most people thought.
I was content with the progression of the crows so I released the pull on the others and in this instant I flew through my hand seals again a flock of crows was born, but half of these crows formed into a image of me in fact this went three more times until there was four other images of me taking their place at my side staring out at the crows, all but the last crow who sat there. It was like a ballroom dance now the fingers of the clones all moved with complete synchronization by now the total of crows was uncountable, but it was enough I used the clones to tie the West, North, and South residents mails just as I did with the East and sent the crows off once they were gone I took on the responsibility of keeping the crows in flight up, only a single clone and I now sat at the edge of the cliff.
When the letters were each finished I used my observation crow would be used to create a flock of Crows to gain a letter of completion from the neighborhood leader and of course any sort of small rewards from the people (which lets be honest who would give something to a flock of crows?) before dispersing and returning to him, to my new clone I passed over to the clone who would take off running to the post office to drop off the letters of completion and have his scroll signed unless that Crow reports there is more that needs to be done.
While my clone made its way to the post office I journeyed to the mission office to rendezvous and return the scroll.
