|| Entry log #6-Day 7 "Explosive Deja vu"

Silent footsteps landed effortlessly upon the rooftops of the opulent edifices that made up Kumogakure as he snapped into existence from the shadows of night. The moon had shone resplendently, but as it did its ambit of shadows reached around most of Kumogakure, Kumo himself was truly in his element. Though he had not been hiding from anything his frame seemed to be veiled or grew completely invisible each time he stepped into the salacious mouth of darkness. It was to be expected with his black hair, black bandages, and black samurai pants, Kumo was the perfect stealth ninja. "Clearing mines? A troublesome task indeed, but it will become hazardous now that times have seemed to return to their normal state. I must persevere, my art will show me the path " His thoughts coursed on as he made his way to the mines one leap after another; his mind gave life to cerebrations as he needed a way to remove the mines successfully without triggering them.

BOOM!!!

Sounds of crumpling earth and rock filled the surrounding atmosphere without warn, reaching great heights as it echoed throughout Kumogakure, alarming all within the vicinity. Kumo's a hand reflexively rose pull the bangs from his eyes as his body burst with intensity hurrying to glance over the opposite edge of the edifice he stood upon only to see a gathering of one...two.. three, yes, three civilians. A mother and a father trying to restrain their child from sprinting into the cloud smoke caused by the explosion. Tears flowed from the boys eyes lavishing the earthen floor they stood on, crying out to his dog who'd ran and activated a land-mine.

"This isn't good, I have to step in...i shall let the power of art guide me on my path." And as his words gave clarity to his approach he knew what he would do. With senses wide open, he surveyed the surrounding area with godlike observation. The smoke began to clear giving sight to the scattered dog, the parents restraint wouldn't hold the boy for much longer and they were at least 6 meters away from the dog. Though he couldn't see the other active mines he knew that they remained veiled under earths influence. Being a child who'd been held in frustration grief, he freed himself from his parents caring grasp, naively running to what little was left of his dog.

As if to be blessed with an eagles eye he caught sight of the very moment when he broke free, and in that split moment Kumo's plan became clear. With calm, heavy speeds his hands constituted a succession of seals. His chakra flared, eyes locked on the dogs remains, and so the genjutsu had been successfully deployed. The dog remained dismembered, however, to the boys eyes it seemingly rose from the hands of death and ran happily of too the side arcing around to circle back towards the boys parents. And as he intended the boy watched the dog run back behind his parents and soon followed. His parents were shocked at his sudden change of direction but paid no mind to it as they were just happy to get their son back. They swiftly picked him up and carried him off, Kumo making the illusionary dog follow behind. With haste his parents fled the area, and so the dog faded as they removed themselves from the range of his genjutsu.

|| Entry log#7- Day 7 "Explosive Art"

With civilian's removed from the surrounding, Kumo began his hunt with the land-mines being his inferior prey. His bare toes curled about the edge of the edifice, clutching it as he launch himself masterfully toward the felled dog. He landed in a low crouch without noise or vibration, letting the mines continue to slumber below the earthen floor so he could continue his mine extraction. "This area is filled with mine chemicals *Sniff, sniff* dinitrotoluene, trinitrotoluene, and dinitrobenzene. Seems that they are all in one single area, hard to determine where they are individually." The flux of chemical signatures from intact land mines swam effortlessly into Kumo's nose, the easy part in locating them was pretty easy to say the least, now finding and uprooting them from the earth will be the difficult task. "Hmm I'll have to be careful considering I lack the speed of shunshin"

His fingers slowly reached for the soils of Kumogakure, as if to feel whatever vibrations would travel through. He could see a couplel land mines protruding from the surface from the concussion blast from the previously detonated on, poor dog. Slowly and gently he retrieved the two mines and as he did he noticed the quantitive smell of explosive chemicals diminish significantly. This was good, very good in fact, the decrease in chemicals would obviously lead to more specific locations, however, there was still too much in the air to depict their exact location. "Sigh this is a very troublesome task. I would detonate these things all at once were it not for them being in a area close to civilians."

And then he had an idea. His brush, he would use it to dust off just enough of earths surface to give sight to the mines. He chuckled as this ingenious idea attacked his mind, "Just like always, the arts always prevail" Though the process itself was time consume and required extensive amounts of precision and patience, it was necessary given the circumstances.

|| Entry log#8-Day 7 "All good things come in threes"

Spending nearly the entire night trying to locate and uproot nearby landmines he only managed to retrieve two more and could feel himself gravitating towards the third. With a sleight of hand and masterful artistic precision he continued to brush off the surrounding earth and finally a gleam of metal shone into Kumo's line of vision. With long gentle strokes his brush he continued to 'dust' the mine off until 80% of its surface could be seen, from there he equipped himself with a kunai to use it as if it were a shovel, digging around the sides of the mine. Excavating the earth just enough to peel the mine and uproot it he would grab it and place it into his bag where all the others lay quietly.

A reflexive hand came across his forehead, wiping away whatever sweat seemed to surface from the pores of his flesh. Removing the black bandages that covered his nose he caught a faint scent of what could be the last mine (indicated by the small scent of DNT). Turning to his perfect east with a determined gaze he slowly walked and with each step, and just like a metal detector his nose twitched rapidly as the DNT crept into his nostrils. Yes it was here, most definitely.

left, right, left, right, left, right. Kumo repeated this tactic until he could say the surface of the mine just as he had done with the others, and with little time he dug up the mine and gently placed it into the bag.

"Sigh. Finally I'm done. I don't think I've ever been that nervous in my entire life."

Sealing the back and coming to a perfect stand, he would begin his walk towards his home, he had to walk, had he not something could go boom. "I could possibly use these later on" Dropping off the land mines to his room he then headed for the Missions compound to give his report.
