Fighting the Forest [Mission]

[Muu Yanagi]

This place looked, Great! Muu was having the time of his life just moments after arriving at the site designated that he was suppose to help a small team restore order to. The team consisted of 4 local herboligists and one guy who worked for the village and was responsible for making sure the job was done to the villages specifications and safety regulations and all that jazz. For Muu, he was just the hired hand to do the grunt work as most shinobi assigned to D ranking missions were.

But here Muu was having a blast in the over growth. What might seem like an overwhelming green jungle in a seldom, even less so in the recent fauna overgrowth, traveled area of Kusagakure. His eyes had grown big upon arrival and immediately sprang into action, climbing and scampering around the vines and massive plants. Sometimes he was completely submerged in the plat life and only his childish giggling could be heard, sometimes muffled by the green ocean he ran and played in.

Soon the supervisor grew tired of the mischievous little nut ball and yelled in frustration at him.
”Hey Rookie! Get the Hell over here now!”

To his surprise Muu erupted from a large bush like plat not far form him and landed before him, straitening up like a board. Leaves stuck out of his hair as well as a few small branches and a small rain of leaves fell around him form his movement out of the plants. A stupid grin faded quickly from his face and one of question replaced it.

He leaned forward until he was nearly nose to nose with the man who seemed quiet surprised by the boys sudden appearance and odd behavior. As Muu leaned forward he leaned back as Muu spoke.

”I… don’t think I like you very much. What do we do to get started Grumpy Face?”

CUTTING BACK THE FOREST
RANK: D
DESCRIPTION: Despite the fact that Kusagakure is widely known as a village that harbours all kinds of plants, not all of them are ones that citizens want to see in the village. Sometimes the plants get out of hand and they need cutting back in order to prevent them from growing over paths and becoming menaces, and because of that the village has requested shinobi to go out and cut back some of the plants that have started to become overgrown- cut them back by any means necessary, but don’t go overboard and destroy the plants!
OBJECTIVE: Prune some trees and bushes!
PAY: 25 EXP and 500 Ryo.

• Mission Begin!

The man blinked a few times before his angry face came back. He took a step back from the nut-job and gave a high class sort of snooty snort as he eyed the Green haired, “broccoli” haired boy.

”Well, If your finally ready to get down to business and stop goofing off… take this. You are to Use it to chop down all the over growth hanging over the street. Then move the mess off the road. Then your free to go.”

As he spoke he extending very worn machete, holding between two dainty fingers by the hilt as if it were a dirty and disgusting thing. Muu looked at him, at it, as the plants and nodded twice, still a confused look spread across his face. He then gave the rusty blade a sniff, and in a flash snatched it form the man’s hand and leapt into the air

Ignoring the man’s stunned and instantly scared and altogether angry face and insults/ threats he made against the boy fro nearly taking his hand off with the damned blade, Muu was fast a work. He loved interesting things and plants were surely interesting, but what he enjoyed even more was breaking and destroying things! So he.. played. Jumping and preforming miraculous double jumps as if he could leap off nothing more then air itself. At some point he drew his own tanto and began spinning and slashing with both the rusty machete and his own blade. A little green tornado of plant death.

He even began giggling in an odd fashion, leaving he team stunned and all they could do was watch as he quickly cleared the over hanging branches, vines and overall the highly over grown plants, letting eh sun burst in through the falling ceiling of brown and vibrant greens. Muu landed after a few minutes of this continuous assault on the plants.

When he was done Muu strolled up and handed the chipped and rusty blade back to the man, slipping his own blade back into it’s hidden sheathe behind his lower back and under his coat. Now all that was left was clearing the streets.

Over the course of the next hour, Muu was a lot less exciting. He did display some wondrous feat of strength and spend nearly 20 minutes “Talking” or at least seeming to talk to a flower sprouting form a vine. But mostly he worked to clear the rubble he had caused from his little dancing blades display earlier of randomly chopping things.

After a good while, the boy strolled over tot eh supervisor, sweating and tired looking and poked him in the head.
”Your trees are all gone and you can walk on your road again… Can I leave please?”

Muu was tired of this game now. It had been fun playing in the plants and even cutting them down. But he didn’t know how to fix them so they weren’t a problem anymore so it had just grown hot and hard and no fun at all. He whipped seat off his forehead with his sleeve as the man looked over the road. He had done a good job clearing the foliage and the street of the debris but as he was looking it over a branch fell blocking the street.

With an evil grin he turned and spoke with high class attitude.
”It seems you missed one. Get it and get out of my sight you filthy brat.”

Muu looked at the branch in the road with stunned eyes, as if the branch had fallen just to spite him. He inhaled deeply kneading his chakra and after some quick hand seals shot a rather large sphere of air at the branch, connecting and reducing it to splinters.

The noise of the blast made the supervisors body go rigid with freight and Muu happily walked past him, slapping him on the back and taking the mission completion form from his hand and went on his way.
”Later Grumpy Face?”
