The Scwabble [Mission]

[Muu Yanagi]

The rundown went like this… One farmer hated another, and in his fury and to get back at his rival, the crazed farmer stole the other’s wife’s prized bird bath! It was her pride and joy in their garden and she greatly enjoyed watching the birds gather there. Without it she was left heart broken and in a state of mild depression. It was a silly prank but one not easily rectified unfortunately.

You see the problem was the birdbath was no locked away in the garden of the opposing farmer, lost to the other for the garden was guarded first by a large wooden wall surrounding the perimeter. Then by two vicious guard dogs who were seldom seen but often heard growling to those on the other side of the large fence and even fighting each other in furious fights.

Muu was the lucky soul tasked with the responsibility of sneaking into the garden, avoiding detection and retrieve the birdbath while either defeating or avoiding the rabid dogs who stood sentinel over the treasured garden piece. And he was up to the task.

Mission Begin!

DESCRIPTION: In a battle over land, two neighboring farmers have taken things much further than they should. One has taken the bird bath of the others’ wife, and placed it in his own yard, and the other farmer wants it back. The problem? The farm in question is protected by two guard dogs, and a gang of aggressive geese. Failure will not be tolerated and if you’re detected or caught while finding it.. you’ll have hell to pay, as the farmer doesn’t treat strangers kindly!
OBJECTIVE: Stealthily break in to the front yard of the other farmer and steal the birdbath back. Don’t get caught!
PAY: 25 EXP and 500 Ryo.

He moved under the cover of night, having heard the reports about the security of the garden Muu was aware that it’d give his mission a higher possibility of success if he went with the aid provided by the nigh rather then in open day light. He was trying to avoid detection after all. The high wooden wall that surrounded the garden was an obstacle, meant to keep all but the owners out, but then what was the understood entrance? The House. And this would be Muu’s entrance into the garden.

Form his perch he could see the guard, (dogs) prowling the grass, sniffing here and there as if they expected something disastrous to happen this night. But the wind was with him, blowing his scent away so if all went well they wouldn’t smell him until he was already gone. He knelt atop the roof of the house, watching the dimly lite yard and planning his assault.

With a body flicker he was on the back porch, and with a flick of a pebble, he struck the wooden wall acting as a border of the garden a distance away, alerting the dogs from the noise it made. The perked their heads instantly, giving low grumbling growls and took off for the far side of the garden to investigate.

With their absence, Muu dashed, using another body flicker to get next to the bird bath and hook his chain around it, and in an instant he threw it high and over the fence, preforming another and his final body flicker to get to the top of the fence, and leap off and home free of the garden prison.

Already done! This was the easiest yet! Or maybe it was because Muu actual took time to think out his attack strategy and approach instead of just showing up with no intent in mind. Whatever the case he was at the point that he hadn’t planned for, the catching of the birdbath.

Still holding the end of the chain that was attached to the stone bath, Muu looked up and locked eyes with it as gravity retook the object and tore it form the air. Then the lazy tired eyed boy watched the plummeting object. Then he suddenly realized something… this was going to Hurt.

The birdbath crashed down on top of the boy and a cloud of smoke and dust was kicked up around him. As the dust started to settle, the pounding of paws on the earth could be heard fast approaching, as the guard dogs made it to the wall border and barked ferociously. The noise had gotten heir attention and they had picked up Muu’s scent. The now battered boy got to his feet and lugged the birdbath over his shoulder and hustled away before the farmer was brought to the scene.

He had done it! But not without gaining few bumps along the way. But what mattered was the job was done and he was undiscovered. After returning he birdbath to the rightful owner, Muu was off to get some first aid and candy as a reward for himself, then tomorrow morning, BACK TO THE ATRIUM! It was slowly becoming his home away from home.
