☯PERSONALITY
When people speak to Midori, there tends to be a lot of confusion over which half is being spoken to. But he wouldn’t have it any other way. Being born into a clan with an exclusive Kekkei Genkai, he isn’t just one person. In fact, there is two of him, and when both halves are together they make one person. Even so, they still refer to each other as another person. It’s as if they were brothers, although in reality they aren’t.
The black half is more passive, and patient, yet intolerant, and rather does things the easy way. He’ll do whatever he has to do to gain information. For him, lying, cheating, and stealing is the best weapon a shinobi can have. He doesn’t like fighting, and, instead, let’s the other half take care of it. However, he will observe from the sidelines, and provide assistance where it is needed. Spying is where is really comes in handy.
The white half is more aggressive, and tolerant, yet impatient, and rather does things the hard way. If he can’t get what he wants, he’ll take it from whoever has it. He isn’t the type to speak, so conversations with him tend to be short. People are there to test his strength. There isn’t a battle he will turn down. His main concern is whether or not the actions he makes will benefit him, and his ulterior motive.
☯APPEARANCE
Although his form is considered grotesque by most of the people he encounters, he tends to dress rather elegantly. Starting from the top, he has vibrant, green hair. It matches this color of his eyes, which are covered by sleek, square glasses. They aren’t, and are only worn to compliment his style. The rest of his body is covered, but his face is the color of his skin tone, and the representation of his two halves: black, and white.
Heading down, around his neck, is a green scarf. Much like his hair, and his eyes, the scarf evens out his complexion. It’s long enough to trail down his back, and slightly covers up the venus fly trap that surrounds his neck. His shirt is that of a white, long sleeve. The fabric that it’s made of is light, allowing him plenty of mobility without the worry of being sweated out. It also allows him to keep the obscurity of any weapons he may have concealed.
On the back of his shirt is the yin-yang symbol. It symbolizes the harmony between his two halves. He wears all black pants, which come down to his ankles. Where his pants stop is where his ankles meet. But they, too, are covered by the standard shinobi sandals that he wears on his feet. They’re green, to match his eyes, hair, and scarf. The front of his belt has his headband tied around it. Across it is a slash, displaying the separation from his village.
☯HISTORY
The world had been a lonely place for those without friends. But who needed them when you had yourself? Midori was the prime example of somebody who had nobody. Since the beginning, his family had abandoned him. He had grown up living by his own means. Having already been shunned by the people around him, there wasn’t anything he could do. But when the time came, he took initiative to improve himself.
At the age of six, he had been enrolled into the ninja academy. It was there that he would learn everything there is to know about being a shinobi. The basics, that is. It didn’t take him long to grasp the simple concepts that the institution had been drilling into his head. The three techniques that determine the status of Genin had become pastime for him. Constantly training them, by the time his test came, he passed it with flying colors.
By the time he reached twelve, he had graduated, and been promoted to Genin. Unlike the rest of his classmates who were assigned partners to work with, he didn’t need them. He had already begun exploring the abilities granted to him by his clan. Instead of giving him the conventional missions, he had been sent on special ones that allowed the power he had deep within to shine. The days of espionage for him had begun.
However, he didn’t want to be a lackey forever. And the village had only been using them for their own selfish reasons. He had known that if he wanted something, he had to get it himself. There wasn’t any relying on others to do it for him. The place he had called home was hindering him, and what held him back from gaining the real knowledge he desired. After four years, he had finally decided to cut his ties.
Scratching the headband that tied him to Kusagakure, he would defect, and within the coming days, he would officially be branded a nukenin. But that was the least of his worries. Aiming to reach the pinnacle of his power, he wanted to know everything. If he could gather all the information in the world, perhaps he could become the strongest mortal alive. A being that everybody fears. From this point forth, he’d walk the path solo.

Special: Case can hold up to 5 vials any given time. Each case takes up one (1) accessory slot. Finally, when a filled vial is secured and locked within a case, its current decay stops, as the vial is properly maintained within the confines of the case.
Description: This small case, resembling a perfect square and measuring no more than twelve inches on all sides, holds vials in securely through several straps and locks, so that the vials are kept in place perfectly at all times during travel. The inside of the case is made of a very soft black material, with internal cut-out shapes of each vial for maximum holding capacity. When locked, it is secured by two latches on either side of a small carrying handle in the middle of the case.

Iryo Sakuka (Organic Preservation Vial)

Special: Vials are designed to hold blood, and carry a one-time use needle which springs out of the bottom and lets it be filled; once the vial is filled, the flow automatically stops and the vial and the needle detach. Each vial can hold roughly 5% of a human body's entire current blood supply. Without this, blood belonging to a Player Character can only last the thread in which the victim died before it loses its effectiveness for transplanting purposes. Blood in vial lasts a total of 25 consecutive IC posts, starting right after the part is secured in the vial, before it begins to decay and loses its integrity. Each vial takes up half (1/2) an accessory slot.
Description: A metallic and glass vial approximately 5 inches long, it protects a crystalline test tube ideal for holding small body parts, such as eyes, ears, noses, fingers, etc. Once secured, the capsule auto-fills with a small preservation fluid, keeping whatever is within in mint condition until it is ready for its use. Used primarily to hold a specific amount of blood for certain medical procedures.

Description: A shuriken, like kunai, is one of the more basic weapons employed by ninja of all classes. They are sharpened, four-pronged metal stars, no more than a few inches long, and are extremely useful for throwing. Although small, they can be used to distract, or, if accurate enough, to kill. They have an open circle in the center, used for grabbing with a finger, to avoid cutting oneself, or to put thread through. The circle is also a benefit in aerodynamics, as it ensures more accurate trajectories.

Special: Dominion extends 10 meters around the user and increases by 10 meters every rank. Kuro-Shiro members are not required to learn 'Mokuton Ryouuken (Wood Dominion)' because this acts as a substitute. The wood created by Kuro-Shiro are pumped full of chakra, unlike their natural counterparts. Therefore, their creations have more endurance, giving them a natural defense against any single attack of equal or lower rank.
Description: Kuro-Shiro members are far more adept at controlling wood than the average Mokuton user. They are able to use their chakra to strengthen and control natural wood and can even create it from pure chakra. However, their bond with Mokuton goes even further: they are capable of becoming one with it. This has earned them the nickname Wooden Demons.

Description: The Kuro-Shiro's body is, essentially, made from the plant-like organic material that they so often use in their techniques. This material then molds around the wound, patching up the damage based on the skill level of the user.

Description: After performing a set of handseals, the Kuro-Shiro channels their chakra into a piece of wood. The wood molds itself into a replica of a Ninja Info Card, although it appears to be made from a papyrus-like material instead of the normal material. Their chakra remains concealed inside, so that they can only be activated by that specific user. The user may transfer memories of a particular person, including a recent picture and important facts such as their abilities, bloodline, alliances, etc. The perfect tool for recconaissance!

When first learned, this technique can only be used 1 time per thread, plus 1 more time with each retraining. However, can only be used 4 times maximum per thread.
Description: The Kuro-Shiro is adept at mimicking the effects of various plants, which is where this technique originated from. After performing a set of handseals, the user inhales and then exhales a dense, yellow cloud of tiny particles. If breathed in by an opponent, these spores will cause muscular paralysis. The Kuro-Shiro should avoid heavy winds at all costs when utilizing this technique.

Description: Kagerou allows the user to merge their body with the ground (or sand) and any plant or tree large enough to conceal their size. They have the option to be fully submerged in the substance or only partially submerged. Then, using a network of organic matter they can travel through it at fast speeds.

Description: After having learned Ne Tsuiseki, when the Kuro-Shiro submerges themself with the use of Kagerou they are given the ability to sense those around them. With a simple thought, their chakra leeches out around them and combines with organic material, which turns into roots. These roots spread out close to the surface of the substance, picking up on physical vibrations that run through. This is especially helpful when underground, as the Kuro-Shiro will be able to pinpoint the location of a living being that walks across the ground in their range. The downside, however, is that they will not be able to tell if that being is a person or animal without help.

This chakra manipulates various organic materials in the earth, which create a false ceiling above their head that blends in with the terrain around it, whether that means growing new grass or being muddy. Roots run all through this chakra-infused area, giving it a latch on one side that effectively turns it into a trap door.

Special: While using Kagerou to meld with the ground or tree, the Kuro-Shiro can use Mokusei Yokuatsu to suppress their chakra so that they cannot be detected. Can be activated at will and ended at will, however, it requires a cooldown of 1 turn before it can be reused.
Description: When the Kuro-Shiro feels that they need to hide more fully than just being within a substance can provide them, they can mentally activate Mokusei Yokuatsu. The organic material around them forms a special barrier with their chakra, almost like a caccoon, that prevents their chakra from being detected. If used correctly, this technique can be a highly effective reconnaissance tactic.

Special: The split takes 1 entire post to complete. The user's chakra is divided equally between Black and White, and each are able to use any jutsu that the user knows. The only way for the halves to recombine is to meet up, however the collective Kuro-Shiro member regains all chakra and knowledge from both halves. Because Black and White are physical beings, they are able to travel as far away from each other as they like; the user is permitted double RP thread count so long as half is Black and half is White. The downside to this is that if either side dies, it is gone forever! The user will only have the remaining side to RP with and will be stuck with only half of their total chakra pool.
Description: Karada Bunkatsu is a keystone technique of the Kuro-Shiro bloodline. The user focuses chakra throughout their body. Slowly, the black half and the white half split down the middle and pull apart from one another. Each half regrows a leg, arm, and missing body mass out of white substance. However, this regrown area appears slightly disfigured and is incapable of creating finer details like eyes and ears. Black and White each keep a half of the venus flytrap growth on their body. These two halves act independently from one another, and to fit with the ying-yang symbolism of their clan each has a different aspect of the whole's personality.

Special: The branch arm can grow to a maximum of 1 meter in length and is 0.5 meter in girth. It can withstand up to 1 'B' rank attack or lower before breaking. Each retraining of the jutsu will allow the arm to withstand one more attack. However, for every 3 times learned the chakra consumption goes up by one.
Description: Kuro-Shiro are well-known for their stealthy tactics and mid- to long-range techniques. But every now and then their position may be compromised or an opponent manages to get closer than they like. In that case, Ibara is a technique that helps save the day. After performing a set of handseals the deformed arm begins to mutate, growing into a long and thick tree branch. The branch is stiff, but the shoulder joint remains intact, allowing for a range of movement similar to an arm. It can be used to block attacks long enough for the Kuro-Shiro to escape from close range. If, however, they are feeling mischievous, the sharp thorns growing along the branch give it the ability to double as a blunt weapon.

Special: Up to one clone can be made at a time, plus one more each time retrained. Can be relearned up to four times for a maximum of five clones. They can withstand a single attack one rank less than the user's 'Mokusei Akuryou'. When they are defeated, these clones do not disperse, but fall 'dead' to the ground until the user releases the technique, where they decompose into plant matter. They have the ability to travel great distances from the user, however maximum RP threads allowed remain the same. These special clones can use any Kuro-Shiro or Mokuton technique the user knows, but whatever attacks they perform will draw chakra from the user's pool. Finally, this technique can be used by Black or White but not the combination form.
Description: The split persona of the Kuro-Shiro must perform a set of handseals, channeling their chakra throughout their body. This chakra combines with plant material, either natural or created, to form an exact copy down to every last detail - except for the venus flytrap growth. Unlike most clone techniques, these clones are controlled remotely by the user and do not act on their own.

Special: This technique allows the Kuro-Shiro to morph into an exact copy of anyone, simply by touching them. The transformation happens as soon as the user touches the target. They possess chakra identical to that of the one they are impersonating, but cannot use that person's techniques. The user can remain in this form for as long as they please, so long as they have the chakra to hold it. If a Parasite Clone has used this technique, even when they 'die' they will retain the appearance until the original releases it. Once the user returns to their normal form they are unable to turn back into the other person without touching them again, unless they use a technique to memorize the transformation.
Description: The Kuro-Shiro (or Parasite Clone) is required to touch the person they want to duplicate. From that touch, they draw a small portion of the person's chakra; this mingles with their own as they use plant matter to transform their body into an exact copy. Narikawari can even duplicate the person's doujutsu, at least in appearance - they cannot be used. The chakra they have taken is used as a signature to tinge their form, covering up their own chakra so that even the most skilled sensor could not tell they are not the person they appear to be.

Kawarimi no Jutsu (Body Replacement Technique)

Special: Switch is near-instantaneous. Kawarimi can only be used once per thread, plus one more each time retrained. However, the technique itself can only be used once per turn, regardless of retraining. Requires the user to switch with objects that range from equal in size to as small as half their size. Cannot switch with other living people or animals.
Description: This jutsu lets the user quickly switch places with another nearby object, such as a plant (normally a section of a log) the moment an attack hits. This creates an optical illusion, making the enemy think the attack was successful. The user can then use this confusion to escape or launch a counter-attack - i.e. exploding tags can be attached to the replacement for an added surprise.

Description: Bunshin no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique which every ninja learns at the Ninja Academy. The Bunshin technique creates a copy of the ninja without substance that, although easily seen through by those with doujutsu, can fool the normal eye easily. Why? Simply because although without substance, the copy resembles the ninja in every way. This clone can function as a distraction or as means to confuse one's opponent, though no real damage can be done by it. Finally, as soon the Bunshin gets attacked or comes into contact with an opponent, it will disperse.

Special: Despite popular belief, this is not an ability that allows an individual to teleport, or even move incomprehensibly fast. It simply combines high mobility with some disruption of visibility to conceal those movements. That in mind, if you can conceal your movement, it is common for this technique to allow very long-distance dashes before enemies may notice you.
Description: Shunshin no Jutsu is a basic ninjutsu technique used across the shinobi world by all, ranging from the most basic shinobi to the legends of lore. Considered is a high-speed movement technique - to an observer caught in the optical illusion, it appears as if the user has teleported. This allows the user to escape or attack suddenly, should they need to. However, while a high-speed movement, if used in broad daylight, one will still be quite visible and as such, easier to be defended against. In order to achieve maximum effect, the user must to combine it with a distraction.

Special: Direct physical contact by White is required to plant the spores. The spores are virtually indetectable by standard shinobi sensory techniques because they do not contain chakra. To activate the spores, White must be in the same thread as the host. However, they cannot be activated immediately and need at least 5 turns from planting to establish a position in the host's body. The copies can only be removed through force, which will injure the host since they have grown from the inside out. If the Kuro-Shiro does not activate the spores by the time the host has posted 50 times - starting with the post after the time they are planted - the spores will be die.
Description: By touching the opponent, White Kuro-Shiro is capable of planting spores inside their body, unknown to the opponent themself. These spores activate only when White commands them to by issuing forth a pulse of chakra. Once they are, they rapidly grow out of the host into copies of White, similar to Parasite Clones. These copies proceed to restrict the target's movements by covering their body in the plant material they are made out of and absorb the victim's chakra. The absorbed chakra can be transferred to another individual if the copies are able to make contact with them - even if it is not White.

Special: Allows the user to expand their flytrap, trap somebody inside and then digest them. Strength of the user's Fly Trap is equal to one B-Rank strike and will be destroyed if sufficient force is applied. Digestion takes three turns, including the initial capture of the opponent.
Description: As Kuro-Shiro are widely considered to be some of the most advanced infiltrators, this technique goes hand in hand with remaining undetected, or disposing of evidence once they are ready to leave. By expanding their fly trap to fit the size of the target, the Kuro-Shiro will quickly spread the inside and form a membrane, which protects the users head, shoulders and body. Upon doing this, the fly trap will fully encapsulate the opponent, living or dead, and begin to flood the makeshift coffin with digestive fluids, with burn and begin to assimilate their corpse with the user. Once done, the Kuro-Shiro will reabsorb the liquid and then shrink their fly trap to the original size, leaving them looking perfectly normal.

Description: The penultimate form of transformation; the assimilation of a body, living or otherwise, allows the user to permanently remember their victim's vital information, such as their appearance, chakra signature, voice and even their memories. While powerful in of itself, the technique truly shines when used with Narikawari no Jutsu, which lets them use their already useful skill of transformation for no chakra cost, meaning that whenever somebody is absorbed in this fashion, the Kuro-Shiro can shift to them at will, and maintain it for no cost, allowing for longer bouts of infiltration.

Main wood beam travels in a straight line, but will split into up to two spikes per use, plus one more each time retrained; however, upon the fourth retraining, chakra consumption will go up by one. Spikes can deviate up to 90 degrees from the main wood piece's travel path.
Description: After a few simple seals, the Mokuton user will changes one's own arm into big trees and use it to extend a large mass of spikes towards their target. Using chakra, the tissues are transformed into trees at the cellular level. Then, by activating the trees, stimulating them to grow rapidly, they lengthen at high speed and fork into many branches. These spikes can act both to impale his target and as a barrier to protect a comrade. Such is the strength of the stakes that it is said to be able to break through defenses of the same Rank or lower than the technique. When the technique is over, the trees fall off of the user's arm and the user will regain the use of his or her arms.
