Katon, or 'Fire Element', takes the form of fire based attacks, allowing the user to birth these flames out of thin air. Ranging from fireballs and other focused projectiles, to wide, extended flame throwing and overall area of attack jutsu, Katon is typically a specialised offensive element, and excellent for short to mid-range attacks.

He is short with a pale complexion; his body thin but athletic in build and in keeping with one who practices a daily regiment of physical exercise based primarily around building speed, and secondarily around building strength. His eyes are perhaps his most off-putting feature; gray sclera with white pupils that make onlookers unsure if he is blind...or merely something other than human. He has been confused with the Hyuuga often, and though his countenance is that of a patient and quiet young boy, his face carries within its smooth lines and rigid features a capacity for anger and cruelty he struggles constantly to suppress.
His hair is jet black and usually kept wild and shoulder-length, though it is styled differently depending on which mission he plans to undertake. He has large eyes, but small ears, nose and lips; his features do not take away from him being reasonably attractive. He skin is un-scarred, and he carries no tattoos due to the simple fact that he is too young for such things. He appears well kept and meticulously groomed. His clothing and gear are expensive and tailored to his own specifics, in keeping with personally defined standards of warrior conduct. He does not wish to be an embarrassment to himself.
When specifically given a task of assassination, or when acting as his 'alter ego' 'Kokushibyou', most of his face is hidden by a heavy black hooded cloak. The material it is constructed from is a light-weight mesh similar to kinmitsu, which allows freedom of movement as well as some small protection from environmental conditions. His hair is kept back and out of the way. His blade Amanozako is kept sheathed at his side at all times.
On normal missions, those deemed necessary to fulfill his function as a shinobi, his hair is kept up and stylized around the concept of a shuriken. It is tapered into points, his gaze penetrating and deep, his eyes easily capable of being seen and remarked upon. His mouth is covered by a small self designed breathing apparatus which as of yet, offers unknown protection, but is most likely warn simply to confuse and distract his opponents.
Adorning his body is a simple black kimono, overlayed with a form-fitting long-sleeved white haori. Upon his feet are simple tabi and black reinforced steel sandals. Around his waist is a simple white or black obi, within which his katana is fastened tightly in its black sheathe.
His recently pilfered stone village headband is often worn around his neck, if not hidden from view completely, the cloth it is composed of is also black.

He is arrogant though not boastful; a young boy of quiet reserve and deep contemplation whose desire for understanding often results in an emotionally detached affect many others find unsettling. He has few friends, though those privileged enough to form this type of relationship with Kousoku find him to be a valuable and loyal comrade. He feels he has incurred a personal life-debt to the young Shinobi who saved him, and as such, his interest in gaining strength as a member of a ninja military is new but extremely dedicated. His ability to focus on the task at hand lends to a natural talent for leadership and tactical thinking, but also contributes to obsessive compulsive behavior and an inability to see his own faults.
The young man is a natural loner, one who has always felt more comfortable away from large groups, and finds little time for pleasantries such as small talk, or those affectations of mannerisms which fall under the umbrella of ‘politeness’. Though generally respectful towards women and children, he is not above slaying them in order to complete a mission, or to prevent the completion of a mission from being impeded in any way. He can become brutal and cold without warning; he is a complexity of age-old nobility struggling desperately to express itself within the violence traumatized mind of a child.
He lives by a personal philosophy dedicated to observing and accurately understanding the world around him, including people and their individual motivations for aspirations both ‘good’ and ‘evil’ in scope, though his belief in terms such as ‘good’ and ‘evil’ changes from day to day. He is a quick learner and retains a student mentality. He is contradictorily over-confident in his own ability to interpret the world. He has been alone too long and at too young an age to have developed confidence in the abilities of anyone other than himself.
He has no religious beliefs to speak of, and can at times be derisive and dismissive of the religious beliefs of others. Though stricken by a sense of longing for the togetherness and unity described by texts read while moving quickly through the Academy, he remains unconvinced that the average human is capable of experiencing such unity. As such, he finds forming close knit bonds with others extremely difficult for more than simply his aloof stand-offishness or his lack of conversational smoothness. He believes that the idea of forming multiple relationship type bonds is fundamentally impossible.
He has no frame of reference for expressing complicated or 'adult' emotions such as romantic affection, and is also overly cognizant (and perhaps a bit paranoid) of others perceptions of him, especially women. His main desire in life is to become as complete a warrior as possible, and develop his own fighting style based around quickness and blistering offense, a style he is currently working on every day. He has a natural intolerance for stupidity, and is often described as having an 'old soul'. He seems far older than he is.
