“Water is the element of life, I am water, I am life.”--Cieu's mantra
A name that was supposed to bring happiness to those who heard it, although it's true meaning was lost even on those who'd bestowed it. Her parents did not want to give their daughter a traditional name, and certainly not one that would mark her as one of the Hōzuki. From birth it was obvious that she had been given a chance to escape the sins of the past, to be free of the burdens the blood that flowed through her veins would bestow should any discover her true nature. Knowing no real name which could represent all the love, hope, and happiness they wished to pass to and through their daughter, they created a new name.
She was given the name Cieu (pronounced 'Ki-uu'), a name devoid of tradition and thus not bound by it, just as they hoped their daughter would not be. They would raise her to spread love, joy, most important, life throughout a land strewn with death. They haven't lived to see if their faith was wisely placed, but Cieu has not forgotten every lesson. - Age

Cieu hardly remembers her parents. What few memories she has of them are obscured in the haze of dreams, both pleasant and not. She remembers their words, their lessons, and tells herself the voices she remembers were heard by her ears and not some pleasant illusion brought about by wishful thinking and the years of listening to her adoptive uncle's speeches on the morals her parents wished to instill in her. Now, she remembers her lessons more than her parents, and the idea that she could be forgetting her parents upsets her. - Clan, BL, or Kekkei Touta?

While her parents wanted for their daughter to live free of the chains cast down by her ancestry, they knew it would be difficult to simply suppress it. They had the foresight to warn her before they were cut down, and to pass their knowledge along to the the one who would become her guardian. She learned to use her 'mysterious' gift, but never of the origins. She was warned against it's great potential for destruction and that she should pursue instead a better path for her life.
She has embraced her gift in a way that her parents had ever dreamed, and uses the ancient powers her blood bestowed to help people in ways that few Hōzuki have likely ever dreamed their powers would be used. Still, she tries to abide by her parent's wishes and tries to mask her natural talent as much as possible, to use them in secret or confide in individuals before revealing the gifts she has. Still, as her powers grow, they become harder and harder to conceal—a risk she is willing to take in order to spread her gifts to the world. - Country and/or Village

Cieu had no country to call her own, her parents had assured that when they fled from their own. For years, she has known nothing but the open road, dense forests, or wide plains as her home. Nomadic life wasn't glamorous, but it was not as difficult as it could have been. Her uncle was more than prepared for life without a village, as he'd spent most of his life in the wilderness; gaining skills that he passed down to his niece.
Years of travel have brought Cieu to Hi no Kuni, a land that is foreign, but familiar at the same time. She is not sure what she is going to find in this new country, but hopes that if home is not it, that at least her presence will help to heal a few wounds in the shattered land. - Rank & Profession

Although her parents had not wished for her to become part of the shinobi world, she was drawn to it. She showed a small measure of potential and was admitted as a student. For the first time in her life, she became a part of a village.
She did well, absorbed the training and excelled in ways that were expected. However, try as she might, she was unable to pass the final examine. The jōnin-sensei she'd been assigned to deemed her lacking, her dedication was simply not there and she was not born to be a ninja. It was determined that in the end, she'd be a liability to her team, and rather than send her back to the academy, it was deemed that she be expelled until she could 're-evaluate' her nindō.

Cieu was never good at violent acts. They went against her nature and upbringing. She wanted to nourish bodies with her power, not break them down. This is reflected by her skills an aptitudes greatly. She has power, and is very good at manipulating it to her will and design, but she finds it somewhat difficult to bend that will towards harming others. Training is one thing, but real combat is another beast entirely.

Ninjutsu always came easiest to Cieu, she found it most difficult to find ways to use her abilities in ways that she wanted to use them. Most of the techniques that were available to her were 'too offensive' in their nature, and so she hid her talents so that she could train in a way that was more suitable to sensibilities. Her stubborn nature on the subject of purposely holding back her true talent in ninjutsu was one of the reasons why she was deemed a failure as a ninja.

Genjutsu held a particular interest for Cieu, but again, only because she was interested in applying it in ways that were generally different than it's intended application. Still, it was much easier to fake real interest in the art of Genjutsu because it's effects on an opponent weren't always as bad they appeared to be. This knowledge hardly granted mastery over the techniques, but allowed her to approach them with greater ease.

Of the three disciplines, Taijutsu presents the greatest hurdle for Cieu. She can study the forms, even perform the techniques, but when it comes to actually harming others she finds herself at a loss. She CAN fight, especially when protecting others, but it's hard for her to put the proper 'edge' into her technique and excel in the art. To make things worse, her interest in Taijutsu is little at best. She enjoys the exercise, and furthering her knowledge of anatomy, but both of those can be accomplished without practicing ways to kill an opponent.

With much of her life spent on the road, Cieu has had little time to be very fashionable. She tends to prefer wearing clothing suited to her goals, which, on most days means very little. She is very proud of her tight and toned body and will only over it when necessary; and then she is usually seen in clingy, form-fitting, outfits to show off her curves.
Aprons are a common theme no matter what she wears, as Cieu prefers pockets and loops to belt pouches for the tools of her favored trade. She carries an assortment of cooking utensils and ingredients and often smells of the various spices she uses in her hobby. Her well equipped aprons are the most common 'accessory' one would see her with, although heavy backpacks or traveling cloaks are not wholly unheard of when she is on the move.

Cieu was tall and thin upon first glance, but few observers stopped there, almost any who happened to glance at her would take a second look. Cieu is certainly an exotic beauty in nearly any locale, such is the result of her mixed heritage. Silky smooth milk chocolate skin, wrapped sinfully around the lithe curves of a tight dancer's body. A sweet, innocent face complete with pouty lips and large, expressive eyes as dazzling as a pair of cut garnets. Her hair was fiery mane of red, tamed and trimmed into a more manageable style. Kind, caring, perhaps a little weird. Cieu has difficulty dealing with bringing pain to others, and would much rather bring peace, love, and happiness. Despite this, she is not a pacifist—she has trouble with viewing or causing pain herself, and while she frowns on others causing excessive pain or suffering, she herself will fight to protect what she holds dear. She has problems with personal space, and often invades the space of others with her desire to provide 'hands-on' displays of affection or caring. If given her way, Cieu will spoil or pamper those she can with impromptu massages, sweet jelly-filled treats, or any number of things she can do to show her affections. Overall, she is hard working and dedicated to her cause, but at the same time calm, easy-going, and eager to please. - Alignment

Not a surprising mindset for Cieu. Not bound solely by the solid foundation and rigidity of law, or the lost amongst the unpredictable jungles of chaos, Cieu is comfortable best with a happy medium, a balance of the two without ever depending too much on one or the other. Good is all Cieu ever wants to do in her life, to spread happiness and heal a wounded land, it is rare that she ever even considers committing what she perceives as an deliberately evil act, another quality that makes her a bad candidate for many types of ninja work.

Saliva. Cieu claims she's not obsessed with it, but she is constantly seen with it rolling down her chin. Whether waking up from a nap, out shopping, or anything that doesn't require her face to be clean, Cieu may be seen with a clear trail of sticky fluid hanging from her soft lips.
She doesn't necessarily do it on purpose, the dumb, glazed-over expressions just tend to find their way onto her face. Either way, she is always filled with glee whenever she catches others drooling, perhaps it's a the tingle of finding a kindred spirit, or maybe she's just a weirdo. Also, she has only been caught a handful of times actually playing with her drool, which is a totally acceptable practice when kept in secret.

Cieu has had trouble sleeping all of her life, or at least sleeping for long periods of time. However, she has never had problems with taking naps. In fact, she is often found sleeping without a care in the world. This 'hobby' of hers has been developed so far that she can sleep in nearly any position, and with her eyes open. Her habits rarely conflict with her life, but they do little to help her reputation.

Perhaps the strangest of her tendencies, and one that Cieu rarely gets to indulge in. Her Hōzuki blood allows her to body to liquefy, and one of her most intimate desires is to have others submerge within her liquid body. The strange-yet-pleasant sensation delivered by the act has been one of the driving factors in her pursuit of deeper a understanding of her innate ability.

Although she is often seen with knives or any number of utensils, to Cieu they are just that, tools. Cooking is a passion of hers, and she could never disrespect her blades by tainting them with violence. She is no real master of her weapon, but it has served her well in her travels. The Nunchuku compliments her physical talents well; her natural agility, flexibility, and speed enabling a smooth flow of motion and steady build-up of momentum to fend off opponents.

Ultimate Hydration Technique (Suika no Jutsu)[/u]

Special: Initial liquefaction lasts a single turn by default. All Hozuki are impervious to non-elemental physical strikes, but are susceptible to Raiton and Hyouton - lightning attacks place on them are raised by a single rank, and when struck by it, they are unable to liquefy properly, and finally, ice jutsu have twice the freezing capabilities when coming in contact with the Hozuki. Ranks 'D' and 'C' represent the ability to liquefy one and two limbs at a time respectively (be it arms or legs); 'B' rank represents torso; 'A' rank represents head liquidation; 'S' rank allows the user to liquefy all together any time they want. Finally, Hozuki are made of water, so they can use themselves as a base for all suiton based jutsu. Hydration rank also determines rank/level of suiton the Hozuki can birth from their body.
Description: The core technique behind the bloodlimit and the door to stronger, more powerful attacks, this jutsu allows the Hozuki to totally transform their body into a condensed state of water, so dense that the user can withstand even the roughest of physical attacks, yet so malleable that on a whim, they can also decompose into mere puddles. From a single hair to the skin and muscles, everything can be liquefied and solidified, be it to evade an enemy's attack during a short range battle, to infiltrate a structure, or to launch a surprise attack from a liquefied state Maintaining this form requires that the clan member keep themseves constantly hydrated, but in this form the can also draw upon and control nearby water by immersing and merging amongst the liquid. And best of all - by liquefying their whole body at will, it makes it impossible for the Hozuki to receive damage from physical attacks. When the user passes out, they turn into a jelly-like, dormant state until consciousness is regained.

In this case, the Hozuki's very essence transforms into an acidic poison, corrosive on contact and highly invasive upon sensing foreign bodies. The best part about it all is that the Hozuki's color does not change one bit, giving no indication that they are wielding cursed waters. When combined with other clan techniques, this essence alteration can be highly effective for combat.

Description: Saikan Chuushutsu no Jutsu is a skill used by medical ninja to remove harmful poisons from a patient's body. The ninja will infuse their chakra into liquid bubble, which they will insert into the patient. They will then use the liquid as a medium to draw out the poison from the cells. This mix can then be removed from the body. Depending on the deadliness of the poison, further treatment with an antidote or medicine may be required.
