ARC ONE
GRANDFATHER CHIATSUKI
GRANDFATHER CHIATSUKI
Way out within the middle of the land of earth a man by the name of Aen lived in peace with his lovely wife Una. Aen was a powerful warrior who went by the name of Chiatsuki Guru, the master of the flicker, and was given the name by those he defeated in battle. Said to have been the fastest opponent to face during his lifetime, Aen, had created a dojo within the land of earth in order to keep a constant source of income for him and his family. Many were welcomed into training and at first everything was moving along well with him. It was around the time that his wife, Una, got pregnant that things began to get difficult. He was no longer to perform his everyday duties of running the dojo and was forced to hire one of his more-advanced students into continuing his methods. This, in turn, created a gap in the amount of money he was actually receiving.. and as the years turned by would slowly drag him into a debt that he was unable to pay.
It was around the age of two that their son, Jurojin, was taken by the local government in method to receiving the money that Aen and Una owed to them. Aen, at this time, had become a little older – more patient in his way and even more-so tired of the ways of the shinobi. He did not have the money nor the aid in conjuring up that amount of money, and so he did the only thing he could in hopes to raising the money. Aen must have went to every dojo, bar, outside ruffian battle in order to profit from his own physical skill. Still.. at the rate he was going it seemed almost as if they were never going to get their son. Finally, after a year of fighting, the money he had raised would be spent on retrieving their son. At once all things seemed so happy as they hugged and kissed their son in enjoyment.. but it would not last forever. Aen and Una were homeless at the point they had retrieved their son.
They were no better off than they were a year ago, but at least now they had Jurojin, the only one thing that was keeping them going. Desperate for work that wasn’t physically demanding of his skills as a fighter Aen would begin searching for other ways of making money. It took him months to find his first job as a cook in a ramen pub. For Jurojin it was nice, he got free meals and got to look at grown men beat each other up all day. Although Aen was skeptic of allowing his son to learn anything to do with combat, it was all he could do. Una ran errands for elderly people and so most of her time was spent walking the streets, even at late hours. She knew it would be too dangerous for her son to travel with her and so the conclusion was that Jurojin would have had to stay with his dad all day and every day.. and at first.. that seemed alright.
Although his life and ways had changed as a fighter, his name had always gotten the better of him. He was a chiatsuki, and his reputation had exceeded him within the land of earth. His name was within the BINGO book, a heavy price listed for being turned in dead or alive. Though he knew nothing of it the thought always bugged him here and there – he knew it was only a matter of time before someone took a shot at capturing him. Aen was getting older but his confidence, determination and perseverance was all unmoved to the thought of ever dying. It was these very pestilent issues which had brought him to the conclusion of moving. He could no longer bear the stresses of knowing that one day he would be hunted down, Aen wanted safety and it is what he would get.
Aen knew he had to do something, and that he did not necessarily want to fight. He knew that running a business would also eventually run him into the ground financially – he needed a job within a village. At the time it seemed that all the workers were also moving into the land of fire, a place that was prosperous even during the times of war. It was only a matter of time before both Una and Aen agreed on moving. They would pack their things along with their son and head out for the next ship towards the land of fire. With what little money Aen had he would buy bus tickets, the rest would be saved for finding a stable home to live in while he searched for a job.
After a long ride they would have finally made it into the land of fire. Aen would take Jurojin and Una into a hotel near the dock, put them down to rest, and walk out into the land of fire in order to find a job. What Aen would stumble upon just only after walking 5 or 6 miles from the hotel would be a city lit with life. Everything seemed to be happening all at once as people enjoyed one another’s presence. It was too bad for the guru, that he was not here for games. His eyes remained settled on nearby restaurant called the ‘shrimp bucket’. It was just before walking in where Aen heard a scream from a nearby alley. He would have immediately sprung into action, throwing himself over the patio in angst to help whomever had screamed.
What he’d see the moment he landed from the seven foot drop was a man holding a womans mouth shut, attempting to rape her within the middle of the night. Aen’s body took complete control over his actions. He would have appeared before the man not even a second after landing, left arm already thrusting out as he appeared, smashing almost every nerve indefinitely within the moment of contact upon the mans ear lobe. The woman would scurry behind him, using him as a shield as he continued his assault upon the criminal, smashing him against the wall and grabbing him by the back of the neck.
“Apologize to that lady now!”
“Aaaah! I’m sorry mam!”
“Aaaah! I’m sorry mam!”
And with that.. he would have let the boy go, watching his every move… stepping back to make sure that the female was out of harms way.
”Thank you sir, you don’t know what this means to me!”
“That’ll be 100 ryo miss! Haha I’m just kidding.”
“Well, I do have 100 ryo, are you sure?”
“Oh nah that’s fine. I’m just out here looking for a job..”
“Oh? Well I work at the ninja academy, I hear they are hiring over there. I’ve witnessed first hand you know how to handle a kid. Maybe you could teach them a thing or two about self defense too?”
“Well that sounds pretty nice, do they pay good?”
“Yeah! Just meet me there at this address in the morning” she would say as she wrote down the instructions on a slip of paper, handing it to Aen thereafter.
“Thanks! My name is Chiatsuki Aen! Nice to meet you!”
“My name is Sagura! Nice to meet you too!”
